30:30 people did recover from unlimited void but only because gojo opened it for 0.2 seconds. Any longer than that and youre pretty much dead what happened in this fight. Also reason makimas contract didnt matter is she could forever recover as long as theres something to come back from. Like deadpool can regenerate from a drop of blood so could makima. But hollow purple eats up anything it touches, so after she was left "braindead" by unlimited void gojo could easily aim a hollow purple at her :)

Thats on authors part he said hollow purple inflicts a 0 on the opponent therefore everyone thought it was erasing mass and it was as we saw in all examples before sukuna, but how sukuna tanked it we still dont know.
