Easy Build Slingshot Knockdown Targets

  • Hitting microscopic targets in one shot are fun, but I wanted to challenge myself and my consistency to see if i was ready for any tournaments. So, I purchased a set of microfiber targets from ‪@simpleshot‬ , did a little research on the World Slingshot Association website on the specs of how to space them, repurposed a cardboard box, slapped on some duct tape and slashed away with a box cutter and viola, I made myself a knockdown target mount!
    Man, lemme tell you, they're not as easy as I thought they were! The pros do it from 15 meters in front of a venue full of people and only get 5 attempts at 5 targets! Let that sink in as the ginormous 80mm messes with your mind, all alone, in your backyard! 😂

      I was thinking of welding a nice complicated one with hinges so the targets don't go flying from an old bed frame but it's been too cold to get any work done. lol. Glad you liked the video brother and I appreciate the kind words 😊

    I would suck so bad at that bc that level is where it just feels weird to me. In the field I have never shot at anything 1.4 meters off the ground while I was hunting except maybe a bird here or there. It's just a weird spot for me. I feel very uncomfortable. Which means I should shoot it more. Heck, who am I kidding, I don't get shoot much anyway.. awesome video brother loved it and great shooting.

    • @threestarsandasling
      @threestarsandasling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly find that hard to believe! lol. You'd easily go through 4 racks without a miss man, and the only way you'd screw this up is if you'd tank the competition cause you'd feel sorry for your opponent. Haha. I'm also unsure if this style of shooting has any survival application, so my money's gonna be on you any given Sunday to bring home a meal. I appreciate you brother! 🙌

      @Three Stars And A Sling no matter how long I go without shooting I still can shoot and hit things, it's just being able to do it constantly over and over I struggle on. My life has been so busy the last 8 months it's crazy. I don't see it getting less busy anytime soon either. Your awesome brother keep it up.

    Such a cool little setup! Definitely going to have to rig up something similar.
    OMG, the 80! 🤣What is it about the big targets that throw us? Hit a quarter? No Problem! Pie Plate? Swing and a Miss! 🤣
    Trick shooting is such a different mindset than knockdowns or paper. It’s almost like Every shot is being judged for pinpoint accuracy where trick shots is chill and “Wonder if I could…?”

    • @threestarsandasling
      @threestarsandasling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha! Thanks Robert! Glad to know I'm not alone in this struggle. Man, I thought these knockdowns were a walk in the park until I tried them 🤣 I would scoff at even attempting to hit an 80 because it was a no brainer, but was I so arrogantly wrong! Hahaha. Strategy? "Should I go for the 40 first? " Doing so lets your confidence go up but it messes with your head to relax and shoot a flier on the last and biggest one. I love it! I'll be watching out for a video of your version. Cheers! ✌
