Taiwan Adventures: Whisky in Yilan and the beauty of Taroko Gorge

We were lucky enough to take this trip before the recent earthquakes hit Taiwan, and while Taroko was still accessible. We did notice while we were there that there were plenty of signs warning of landslides, and we did notice some rocks falling from the cliff faces, which now gives us pause for thought knowing what came a few weeks later. Nevertheless, we were in awe of the sheer beauty of this place, Taroko National Park, and can completely understand why so many people cycle through here. It's been a while since I've been on a bike, and this was an adventure! Thank goodness they were electric bikes!
In a completely random turn, we also discovered Taiwanese whisky. I knew Japanese whisky was a thing, but didn't realise there was a Taiwanese version!
