Taiwan: Alishan Scenic Railway, inc. Fish Head Stew
In this part of our Taiwan adventure, we took the Alishan Scenic railway up to Fenquihi station, took a walk around the old street, and then took the bus up to Alishan. The walk up through the pine and cypress forest was amazing. We went around the whole loop with a few stops. We caught the bus back down to Chiayi, where we had Fish head stew for dinner.

Wandering around Chiayi, Taiwan
มุมมอง 1021 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In this video, we wander around a few areas of Chiayi, Taiwan. We came down to Chiayi, as a jumping off point for the Alishan scenic railway (subscribe so you see the next episode of our Taiwan trip), and wanted to fill a few hours during the day before. There's a tile museum, scenic spots, a railway museum, an old Japanese village (very touristy), and of course, another night market. #chiayi #...
Riding around Sun Moon Lake
มุมมอง 414 วันที่ผ่านมา
Come and ride around Sun Moon Lake with us. We hired our bikes from giantsunmoonlake/ I'd totally recommend hiring bikes from here, as there are a lot of bike hire places around, and some of them have quite old, heavy bikes. There are stretches of this ride with significant up hill stretches, so the lighter bikes were a god send. You can also hire e-bikes from here if you're worrie...
Taiwan Adventures: Taichung and Puli including Stinky Tofu
มุมมอง 1614 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this video, we travelled from Yilan around to Taichung, and then on to Puli. Although there wasn't a heap of tourist type attractions in Taichung, we had some amazing noodles, that were well worth stopping for, with sesame noodles in an old recipe. In Puli, we explored the town, and explored the rice wine brewery, and the associated museum, as well as the local temples, and the best Stinky T...
Taiwan Adventures: Whisky in Yilan and the beauty of Taroko Gorge
มุมมอง 2114 วันที่ผ่านมา
We were lucky enough to take this trip before the recent earthquakes hit Taiwan, and while Taroko was still accessible. We did notice while we were there that there were plenty of signs warning of landslides, and we did notice some rocks falling from the cliff faces, which now gives us pause for thought knowing what came a few weeks later. Nevertheless, we were in awe of the sheer beauty of thi...
Day 5 in Taipei: Beitou and Tamsui
มุมมอง 821 วันที่ผ่านมา
Day 5 saw us head across to Beitou and the hot springs, where there was a lot of Japanese influence. We also headed out to Tamsui at the end of the MRT line, and went to the Lover's bridge and the old fort, and the old government buildings, including one which was managed by Australia for a short period. #taiwantravel #taiwanvlog #taiwan #taipei #beitou #tamsui #holiday #travelvlog The Voyage b...
Taiwan Day 4: Day trip from Taipei to Shifen & Juifen, with a spot of horse riding
มุมมอง 4328 วันที่ผ่านมา
Day 4 of our Taiwan adventure took us on a day trip up to Shifen & Juifen. It was quite a long train ride to get up there, and the local train that runs up there doesn't run all that often from Taipei, so be sure to check the timetables. Turns out you can use the metro cards on some of these routes, so check on this before you go buying other tickets. These two spots are quite touristy in the m...
Taipei Taiwan sights (inc. STINKY TOFU)
มุมมอง 1052 หลายเดือนก่อน
Come and see some of the sights with me, and finish off the day with some stinky tofu. This was our 2nd full day in Taipei, and we went to the National Palace Museum, the Confucious Temple, the Zhishanyan Huiji Temple, Zhishanyan Cultural and Historical Park, and finished off at the Shilin Night Market, with a quick stop at the Red House on our way back to the hotel. #taipei #taipeitravel #trav...
Changing of the Guard at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial, Taipei
มุมมอง 442 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's the full video of the changing of the guard at the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial in Taipei. We came here on our first full day in Taipei, and were lucky enough to be around for this. It was definitely interesting, with the guards moving in full formation. The discipline they have to stand for an hour a time, without moving is crazy. Taiwan Part 1: Taipei First Impressions
มุมมอง 7002 หลายเดือนก่อน
These are my first impressions of Taipei from our first day. I didn't realise quite how much I looked like a panda after our overnight flight, so please excuse the smudged mascara in the first video! We explore Ximending, staying at the East Dragon Hotel, the Chiang Kai Shek memorial, and onto Taipei 101. Looking back now, I find myself wondering at the engineering marvel that is the tuned mass...
Oahu Trip Highlights

Here's a few of the highlights of our trip to Oahu. We got to head out to the Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch, and enjoy some time there, along with the amazing performance in this video. Not to mention, we also went to the main surf beach and tourist areas as well. If you enjoy this, why not check out my other Oahu videos? #oahu #oahuhawaii #hawaiianholiday
Tour Pearl Harbour with me.
มุมมอง 8ปีที่แล้ว
On our recent trip to Oahu, we went and spent a day at Pearl Harbour. The historic site is well worth a visit, and uncovered a few pieces of history that I definitely didn't remember learning in school. It is a sombre historical site, which really makes you think about some of the things we otherwise take for granted. It was great to learn more about the history, and see the sites. You'll notic...
Hike Up to Diamond Head
มุมมอง 6ปีที่แล้ว
Come and join me for a hike up to the top of Diamond Head. This was one of the things in on bucket list for our trip to Oahu, but due to the ticketing system, we didn't think we'd be able to do it. We got lucky with a free afternoon, and were able to book tickets on the spot and hike up that afternoon. We got back just in time before it started pouring with rain. #diamondhead #oahu #oahuhawaii ...
Iolani Palace and casual sightseeing in Hawaii
มุมมอง 2ปีที่แล้ว
We had a free day during our trip to Oahu, so we decided to go for some casual sightseeing around the city. Unfortunately, Chinatown ended up being a bit of a bust, so we ended up heading back to the hotel area in Waikiki later in the afternoon. Although it was one of the oldest Chinatown's around, it turns out this particular Chinatown ended up as the red light district, and quite a seedy part...

Ximending is, strictly speaking, not a night market but a pedestrian walking district. To visit proper night markets, you should go to Ningxia or Shiling Night Markets.

Most facilities in Taiwan are free to visit but this National Palace Museum is an exception and is probably the most expensive one due to the high cost of maintenance of these treasures.

If you want to stop Chinese shills from ruining your audience's appetite, then mention explicitly that Taiwan is a country in the banner. Taiwan used to be a Dutch colony until 1668 when a half-Chinese was defeated by the Manchu Empire and decided to invaded Taiwan and established his own kingdom. Twenty years later, the Manchu Empire finally conquered Taiwan and the island became a refuge for Chinese outcasts. In 1885, Taiwan was formally annexed in to the Manchu Empire. In 1895, the Manchu government ceded Taiwan and surrounding islands to Japanese Empire and all Taiwanese residents became Japanese citizens. In 1945, Supreme Allied commander General Douglas MacArthur ordered Chinese troops to establish a transitional administration on Taiwan after Japan renounced this territory in the San Francisco Peace Treaty. With the Chinese Communist Revolution, the entire ROC government became permanently assigned as Taiwan's administrator.

Culprits from Singapore Press Holdings and many of their counterparts labelled me the "world" and say I am against "white teeth". They are really out to control my life over the media, and they have a secret electromagnetic offensive weapon that can trigger all reactions in the body, including disease symptoms and pain, to facilitate this. Somebody please help me. Please say no to torture and oppression and the media's secret electromagnetic offensive weapon.
