So.. I bought a big bag of millet today for $6. That's expensive if you have no flow of money. And now you're telling me, I could've gotten it for free?! Cool.
Very nice. I have tried this before in the past and never had luck with it though. My plants always die. I could try again. Would be fun to grow long millet sprays.
Yeah... millet sprays were getting so expensive these days... When I used to search for spray millet... it used to show that they are 4 thousand or something. Thanks a lot.
I've got a bunch of dried millet stalks that are probably too old to give to my budgie by this point, but they're resilient so might still grow into new grass if I soak them. I'll try planting them, along with a few others from his seed mix. I'd assume the best time to plant these is probably mid-late Feb (start them off indoors in a pot, It's cold in the UK brrr) and transfer the young plants outside. I like uniformity so I could identify the plants and separate them easier too,
I started this when it was Summer. Then, I tried again in November, it started growing in 4 days. It grew in cold tempurature rather than hot, so you don't have to wait! Just make sure the sun reaches it for most of the time. My neighbors place their plants on our side and those flourish so I decided to place mine there. Good luck my friend!
One day before I saw this I was like can seeds make more seeds? I guess they can. Thanks for answering my question. I got another one though. Do they need to be in direct sunlight?
@@AimiliosR21 A pot on the balcony? I don't think it's worth the trouble growing a small quantity of millet: there's plenty at the store and it's not expensive.
sometimes we replace millet with grass since it has similar foliage. (´・ᴗ・ ` )

Thank you so much!!!! Millets are getting so expensive, bless you

Thank you so much for this video! I wanted my budgie to have nice food that doesnt cost much money, but i had it all at home!
To clarify because this comes up a lot it seems: all grains are grasses. There's no separation. They are all the seeds of grasses.
Amazing what dirt/soil and water will produce ~ tweet things lol love it 😁🙋🏼♀️
Thank u so much for making this video now i can plant millets instead of spending more money on buying them this was so helpful thx very much

Katie Baik yes.
Thanks 4 the video and my budgies seemed to perk up with the little tune music
Super ! I think I will try this
Easy to do, and fun as well. Your bird's own garden lol 🙋🏼♀️
Question can you plant this in a small pot we’re I am winter is right around the corner
Umm why are the other millets are just like covered full what did they put on it? Or what kind of millet are the others
That stick together?
When they grow (like wheat) they are sticked together. But people later harvest it and you get mix with wheat. I hope you understand.
Oh ok! Thanks Denny the budgie
Does it work with cockatiel seed?
I think so yes
Is it ok if i only have Millet? I dont really have a Millet mix but i proba ly think its ok! Now i can feed my budgies without scaring them!!
So we have to put the water every day?:so we do
Can you plant it in a pot?
of course :)
Welp, gonna have to wait till spring now 😂

Thanks for the information!!
A jel se smije davati ta "uzgajana" domaca hrana ?!?
Naravno da smije. 😁 Zdravije je jer nije prskano a uštediš novac. Jeste da treba malo duže vremena da naraste ali radi... (isto kao i pšenica)
This is what I need...
Thanks ;D
I've planted the seeds and it is growing really fast 😁
Does it also work if you put the seed with a damp/wet paper towel? I've seen some vids with strawberries growing with the towel. Just wondering :P
Do we have to water 💦 it all day???
One day before I saw this I was like can seeds make more seeds? I guess they can. Thanks for answering my question. I got another one though. Do they need to be in direct sunlight?
Idk why but I just decided to pop a seed from my budgie’s food into mouth and ate it. Without the shell.
I did it too 🤣🤣
