All your points were of interest to me. My husband passed away after his battle with cancer 2 yrs ago. I'm sure his sufferings helped his time of purification but i still wonder how long might it take, knowing God's time is so different to earthly time. I will always pray for him. Our son also passed away 2yrs ago. Being his mother I knew he was not a church goer, he worked nearly every Saturday night and Sunday morning. I pray for his soul fervently. I pray he has a chance to achieve Heaven. I pray he said yes to Jesus when it truly mattered, at his death. Thank you Ken. I'm going to share this with several friends. God bless you, Janelle, your children and your community. Merry Christmas..🙏🎁🙏💙🙏❤🙏😇🙏💗🙏✝️🙏🤗
Do you ever have that feeling that something is almost too big of wonderful to hope for? That you question, did God actually say these things to a human? I admit that there's times in hearing things like what you shared here that this happens to me. Then my virtues of faith, hope, and love kick in and I run with it. I will be reflecting on all that you've shared here from St. Catherine through my day and beyond. Thanks so much for your ministry🙏💝
I love the logic you applied and the way everything comes together! It is wonderful that our loved ones continue to pray for us. I am sure when we pray for them, this unity fulfills God's will.
I I found you at the right time. I’m 70, sitting in Adoration asking Jesus to help me love Him, while totally disengaged from society (for the most part) and negligent in the virtues that count. I don’t want my changes to be out of desperation or fear of Hell, but that’s where I’m at now.
Ask the Virgin Mary to give you her love for Jesus and truly desire to love as she loves. I have helped others to draw close to God and Mary by this simple prayer. Desire is the key. You can make up for a lot by loving yourself, God, and neighbor. Try it along with a Rosary every day. I’m older than you. I will pray for you also. 📿🛐
As a new widow I've often wondered and had many of these questions. Thank you for answering these questions. I'll definitely get the book. Blessings to you and your family!
My best line in one on my songs is from the song for my parents 60th Anniversary. "Heaven won't be heaven, until you are there." Ofcourse this is not 100% theologically correct but yhe sentiment is. Lord God, if it was your will please help the young artist record my song calked "Heaven" for your glory in LA in 2024. Amen.
Thank you Ken and Janelle for this Advent journey shared with us! Thank you for your time and videos. May the Christ child be among your children on Christmas Day and every day. 🎄🙏. You both are amazing parents and your children are abundantly blessed by you! Merry Christmas to all. 🎄🎁
I've really been blessed to listen to these mini teachings throughout Lent. I've also been praying along with the morning and evening prayers. Thank you for all that you and Janelle do to show God's love and help others grow closer to Christ! Have you considered creating an app?
ST. Catherine's revelation on heaven perfectly matches the doctrines found in the Church of Jesus Christ's of Latter-day Saints. Catherine's vision sounds just like the tree of vision Lehi had in the Book of Mormon.
Thank you very much Ken for this helpful information about heaven . I never knew about this before.. I have a question in my mind that I want to ask if you know what is the answer- will the people who committed suicide will go directly to hell? Though I know someone told me they will , but I was wondering if they have a chance to get to heaven if their family pray for their soul? I am just curious. Thank you again 🙏
Father Chris Alar of the Marian Fathers talks about this and has written a book on it. His grandmother committed suicide. God bless you and may your heart and mind be at peace.🙏🙏
What if there is no one you want to see in heaven? What if eternity with other people is more your idea of a torment? What if you DO want to see all God’s precious souls get to heaven, but nothing about any description of heaven you’ve ever heard appeals to anything you might be able to feel?
Do souls go to heaven, that is based on the belief that the soul is immortal, as some shadowy form of the person it was part of ? First off, what is the soul according to the Bible and NOT Catholic teaching ? Is it immortal ? No. The soul is NOT something that we possess and lives on after death, for how many have read what Genesis 2:7 says ? It reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became ("become", Hebrew hayah, meaning "to exist, i.e. be or become, prove to be", and NOT put within) a living soul." So, Genesis 2:7 shows that until the first man Adam was "breathed into his face the breath of life" by God, he was a DEAD soul, or a non-breathing soul, for the word soul in Hebrew is nephesh that literally means "breather", so that anything that breathes IS a soul and NOT has a soul. For example, at Numbers 31:28, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle, one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep", in which the plunder that the Israelites acquired from them taking vengeance on the Midianites and Moabites for their women seducing Israelite men to worship Baal of Peor in exchange for sex, included people and animals who ARE souls and does NOT possess a soul. At Deuteronomy 12:20, the Catholic Douay Version reads: "When the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders, as he hath spoken to thee, and thou wilt eat the flesh that thy soul desireth", showing the soul is us as a breathing person with all our desires, as desiring to eat "flesh" or meat. At Leviticus 23:29, 30, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish ("perish", Hebrew karath, meaning "to cut off or down, to destroy or consume") from among his people: And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy ("destroy", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy") from among his people." And at Jeremiah 2:34, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And in thy skirts (of the nation of Israel that is seen as a woman ' engaged to marry in its youth ' Jer 2:2) is found the blood of the souls of the poor and innocent? not in ditches have I found them, but in all places, which I mentioned before." Thus, after Peter had healed a man lame from birth, he told the Jewish crowd in the temple that it was through Jesus Christ as "God's Servant......the righteous one" that this man was healed (Acts 3:13), with Peter saying at Acts 3:22, 23 according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For Moses said (at Deut 18:15, 18, 19):" "A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me: him you shall hear according to all things whatsoever he shall speak to you. And it shall be, that every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed ("destroyed" Greek exolothreuo, meaning "root out and destroy completely") from among the people." So, what has been learned here ? That (1), the soul breathes, (2) that the soul desires to eat meat, (3) that the soul has blood, and (4) that the soul can be destroyed. So, what is the proper conclusion of what the soul is ? Anything that breathes, such as animals, including insects and arachnids, and it is us as humans, us as a living person with all our desires, so that as long as we are breathing, we are "a living soul", but upon death we become a dead soul. And at 1 Corinthians 15:45, when Jesus was resurrected, he did NOT become an "immortal soul", but rather was resurrected as a "life-giving spirit", an immortal spirit that is guaranteed everlasting life because of proving faithful till death (see Rev 2:10) as a "chosen one" (Luke 9:35) or member of God's heavenly Kingdom, its premier king/high priest.(Heb 5:10) And it need be understood that there is NO purgatory, for when a person dies, they cease to exist, as Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 states according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know NOTHING MORE, neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love also, and their hatred, and their envy are all perished ("perished", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy"), neither have they any part in this world, and in the work that is done under the sun." And that in "hell" as the Catholic Douay Version reads at Job 14:13, 14, a dead person is "protected" and NOT tormented: "Who will grant me this, that thou mayst PROTECT ("protect", Hebrew tsaphan, meaning "to hide, to protect") in HELL (Hebrew sheol, meaning "concealed" and rendered as "the grave" in many Bibles, such as the KJV) and hide me till thy wrath pass, and appoint me a time when thou wilt remember me ?" "Shall man that is dead, thinkest thou, live again ? all the days in which I am now in warfare (or more accurately "compulsory service", Hebrew tsaba, meaning "a mass of persons organized for war" being conscripted, forced to join the army, whereby Job is forced to remain in the grave until he is resurrected), I expect until my change (from death to life, or resurrection) come."

Although I dislike suffering, sometimes I wish I could suffer more for Jesus. Seems ironic, but my logical self wants to suffer to be more like Him.
This was so awesome to hear! Thank you!

Another question I have is-Are those in heaven able to pray for us on earth even if we don’t ask them for their prayers?
Probably not. They can't earn merits. We must ask them to pray for us.

Catherine of Siena must have been quite a woman. Of the 33 doctors of the Church, in 2,000 years only 3 were women, including her.
