Yes there's always an upside, I looked back at my service book on my 76 Suzuki GT 550, I had 3 services between June and August (hot summer 76 in UK),with the 2k service intervals 😏
Best thing about 2nd Gen is the inclusion of traction control ( my first gen spat me of on a roundabout, damaged the driveshaft so wrote the bike off) and the inclusion of a fuel computer with range to empty once you get down to the last 5 litres, great for not panicking with the last bar of the fuel gauge, have found accurate to the nearest km.
Yeh I will. It's not that easy to find info on it but it looks like its called the Position light which has several LED's so will see how it goes. Thanks @@Grahamvfr
VFR is a beautiful bike but working on it is a pain.... Much easier with the older bikes. Luckily, you hardly have to work on the VFR :D

Did your 1st Gen have a modified fuel map? I understand the standard mapping is pretty tame in 1st & 2nd gears for just that reason.
@@garyt123 it was a DCT and in sport mode at the time.
Whoa, that sounded nasty, hope you were ok. Yes it's a welcome inclusion, and I took find the fuel computer very useful and yes seems pretty accurate 👍
Hi Graham, I was wondering if you have ever taken the wining mirror apart to change any of the bulbs yet?
As it happens no, I haven't had to attempt that yet. Let me know if it's easy enough if you do it.
