    Hi, Really enjoyed your video! Those rhubarb leaved plants are butterburs, so named because people wrapped butter in the leaves and kept it cool in the river water.

      It’s actually Butterbur mate, otherwise known as coltsfoot.

    • @DarrenGiddins
      @DarrenGiddins 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @karlforder1670 Butterbur is Petasites hybridus but there are several similar species. Coltsfoot is a different plant, Tussilago farfara. The wet environment is more suitable for Butterbur and i think you are right with that.

    That was such a lovely and peaceful video. The lighting and colours are amazing. An ideal time of day for the walk. The Dipper is such a lovely little bird and its presence means that the water is clean and clear. They feed on caddis fly larvae, mayfly nymphs and little minnows. These can only survive in the cleanest of waters!! The big leafed plant is I believe a gunnera of some sort!? Well done on another fantastic film. It came just at the right time for me after being ill with COVID for two weeks. Really brightened my day!🥰 Look forward to the next one with Hayley again. Take care. Love you. Mutti xx

    My favourite stepping stones are on the Rivelin valley, Sheffield. Really want to try those out in the Chee Dale. Wonder what Chee means( an old name for the river?). I think it's coltsfoot( butterbur) on the banks of the Wye.
    Those lime kilns were really good only seen them from outside before, along monsal Dale, if they're the same ones.
