    I'm Neucleus a new Lyft Driver and I have not been on the road yet. I tried working for another driving company and did not enjoy it (Pay now good) so I decided to try out Lyft and I was surprised and shocked. During my in-processing I met a couple of Lyft drivers (4 different drivers) and they shared with me their pay screen and all of them were making more than $1500 per week. I was shocked! So I want to get a good start and really earn some money and I found out that I have the potential to earn $1800 per week base on my location and vehicle. That was surprising, but I needed to learn the end and outs and especially how to navigate the Lyft App.
    This is where you came in...after searching online and reviewing all the information I could find about being a Lyft Driver. My last stop was TH-cam and this is where I found your channel.
    You video presentation was extremely informative and easy to understand and I notice you're a top level driver with an excellent rating. You video really help me understand how this program works and the full potential of the business. You've answered all my questions and really prepared me for the drive and making some real money.
    Thank you so much for your great help and the important information. I'm now a subscriber of your channel and lots of Likes for you.
    In fact I think it would be a great benefit to Lyft if they hired you offer online training. In fact your training tutorial is 95% better than that which I received from Lyft. Everyone who desires to become a Lyft Driver should view your video tutorial prior to driving...YOU'RE A GREAT ASSET FOR THE COMPANY AND THE DRIVERS. 👍💯

    Vinny, yesterday I completed my first six hours of driving and thanks to your video tutorial I was able to manage this very well and I had some great riders. I made $136 for driving 6.54 hours and today I'm going to try working "Premium Only" and see how much I can earn. But thanks to your video I really help me navigate the program and I feel very confident about driving. Thanks again and I'll keep watching you. 🚗😄👍💯

    Vinny, thanks for the info. I am new to LYFT and three things I have yet to figure out due to there is no info on the LYFT website. Hopefully you can answer these questions. 1. When I am online and a drive opportunity comes up, there is no way to determine what the payout is for that job. 2. When I have the app open but am not "online" I see opportunities pop up "$xx job" (say $18 job), however I do not know how to claim it. 3. I had a scheduled pickup at 3:00 AM, followed the instructions and was online and drove to the customer's house; however I noticed that the scheduled pickup disappeared under the My pickups tab and then another driver showed up (I have been told by other drivers that this happens from time to time). What didn't I do to secure this scheduled pickup?

    • @VinnyKuzz
      @VinnyKuzz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thx for watching and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
      1. The only way to determine how much a ride will pay out will be to look at your rate card for your area or market. You know its a per mile/per minute rate so estimate how much the combined mile/minute is for every mile then when you see the trip pop up, you can make your determination. Lyft doesn't have up front pricing yet so that how we figure out the pay before completing the trip.
      2. Not sure what you are referring to here, I've seen bonus opportunities that can be 3 ride streaks, complete 3 rides in a row at a certain start time or ride challenges where you complete x amount of rides and they either guarantee a certain earning amount or add a bonus it but never seen an offline job pop up.
      3. I've had schedule rides cancel once I've accepted it but the app always let me know before i arrived so maybe it was a glitch. I wouldn't say you didn't anything incorrectly but next time screenshot it so if anything does go south, you can show them and still get paid.
      Thx for the questions and I hope it helps!!

      No, neither app will do that. All they show is where the surge or bonus is to attract drivers to that area which sometimes could be a hot spot or they are anticipating it to get busy and hope drivers will chase the surge.

    I used Lyft as a return driver and used the Lyft navigation and had a horrible experience. I do believe that I failed to begin the navigation. It kept telling me to "go left". My passenger used her knowledge to get us to where we needed to go. (I was embarrassed!). I've set it for Google maps, but will that give me the voice navigation turn by turn, which I feel more comfortable using? Thanks for advice.

    • @VinnyKuzz

      I always use Google maps, never the in app navigation because its trash on both apps. They attempt to get us the longer timeframe and shortest route while they charge the rider for the longest route. Also, you can have a bluetooth earbud so your rider doesn't hear the navigation voice blaring out. Good luck, we are here for you!!

      Everyone is going to ask you to stop for free, simply put the power back on them and say you can control the stops through the app, thank you. then if they try to say well just stop real quick and ill give you 5 cash. dont. its not covered on insurance. people will literally try so many things to get free rides and their money back. Always say your name but dont say theirs. make them tell you their name. and if your rider doesnt match the names you say "oh im picking up someone else" and they give you another name or the correct name. just be careful and take no shit by having boundaries. anyone who verbally abuses you, cancel. period. Over. and when you cancel, kindly get out and get the door for them. so they cant slam it. then double check inside of vehicle, get in and GO.

    • @VinnyKuzz
      @VinnyKuzz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lyft does not offer destination info before you accept the ride, the only way to see where you are going is when you arrive at the pick up. You will see where the trip is going by opening up the screen. With that said, once you hit GOLD status then every request will show time and distance and direction but if you drop below gold then it wont show you again. Gold is easier to get to than gold on Uber plus it gives you 2 extra destination filters. Hope this helps and thx for the comment!

    I’m so confused about how many hours I can drive in California. The app let me work over 10 cumulative online hours but they’re telling me I can’t work over 10 hours 🤔. So is it 10 or 12 hours??

    • @VinnyKuzz
      @VinnyKuzz  ปีที่แล้ว

      In Florida, we have 12 hours app time BUT Uber ONLY counts time where the vehicle is moving, not actually on. Lyft counts app time every minute it is on. So if you turn both apps on at the same time then Lyft is counting down from 12 hours while Uber is counting down ONLY when the car is moving, if you are at home or parked waiting for a request then the app doesn't count that time. Hope that helps and THX for the comment!!

      That made me curious and so I looked it up. In California it says Uber's limit is 12 hours but Lyfts limit is 10 hours! On both apps when you hit your limit you have to be offline for at least 8 hours before you can start up again. I suppose if you're only working one app at a time you could for example do Ube for 12 hours and then when you hit the limit switch over to Lyft and keep going but you need your rest too. You don't want to start dozing off and getting into an accident!

      I've always wondered about the small markets and how they do, I'm sure they can't be easy to make money as the population s small. I would agree that bigger cities have better rates and more rides for sure.
      As for tips, I'm tipped out about 40% of the time so I would hope Lyft and Uber aren't pulling a DoorDash scheme and keeping the tip money, that would be a major scandal for sure. Thx for the comment and I hope it gets better for you where you're located. Where are you located?

      @@VinnyKuzz With Uber every 10 trips I'll receive at least 5 tips. 100 trips with lyft I received 1. There is a video where a journalist rode with a driver undercover. They were robbing the guy blind. Not only was he not getting his tips they were not paying him his full fare.

    What irritates me with the Lyft app is that you can't view EARNINGS while a ride is booked. On Uber, you can sit at a stop light while on your way to pick someone up and view earnings on the Last Ride or Weekly Earnings. If I know I'm at a light (or at a point where the vehicle isn't moving), I like to scroll thru the last ride to make sure everything came thru ok: distance, time, etc. There have been times when I've completed a ride - viewed the transaction - then saw the rider CANCELLED the ride before I ended the ride! It has happened on Uber about 3 times to me.
    With Lyft, you can't view any earnings or even view the last ride you just dropped off if you've accepted another trip already - or if they've put a ride in your queue and now the ride is active after the prior drop off. It's annoying! I just wanna see the amount, as well as see the surge amount added, etc. Yet, Lyft locks you out of that menu option. Therefore, I end up hitting LAST RIDE to pull myself off of the available drivers list. Once I'm OFFLINE, I can now view what I want to see - and usually it's a 10 second viewing. That's all it is.
    And with that, you're probably pulling yourself from getting an opportunity to drive someone for a good amount of money - all because you're offline for 10 seconds reviewing your last ride.
    Lyft needs to allow us to review the last transaction/ride we just had, just from a business standpoint. I've never known a business where you can't view the TOTAL INCOME you just made from a transaction until after you're offline and you have no other rides in the queue. They need to fix that issue.

      I can't disagree with what you said, that part IS annoying LOL especially when you get stacked. Nxt trip I get, I'll record the app in progress so I can show what you mean. Thx for Sub also!!

      @@VinnyKuzz very welcome, my man! I'm glad you're doing these app highlights and features because new drivers ask me this stuff via text and I can't answer it. My friend Donna who I just got into Uber Eats like 3 weeks ago is now asking about points.
      I'm gonna have her sub you too! Haha! You could help her cover so much ground, as I'm usually driving all night and can't reply. She needs your tutorials to save her some time!

      @@miaminights86 It's so lame. I can't stand not seeing the end of the trip when they add it to the queue (or when they switch riders on you before you get to the pickup of a rider). For all we know, the rider could be going 2hrs down the highway, and that's a ride I dont wanna take at midnight, getting back to Phoenix at 5am....and most likely, no ride back.
      Therefore, that's a trip that's pointless and worthless. It's fuel there and back, but you're only compensated for the trip there. When they do long trips, there should be something in the app that says, "This trip is a long distance trip, between 30-60mins, or 61mins-90mins, or 91mins-120mins." They should give us an approximate time because we MIGHT wanna take the trip if we're going that way.
      But the fact that they'll give me a 28min trip EAST down the highway in the middle of the night means I won't have any trips coming back. I live in Central Phoenix, so that's an hour of driving and I'm only compensated for 28mins of it. Fuel and time, shot - and we don't get a message or warning that this "added to queue" trip is gonna be like this, or else we wouldn't take it - and they know it.
