    This is a great session for 6 to 9 year olds...or maybe older. The most important aspect of being a coach at this level is engagement and this session does exactly that. You can tweak this for a good number of weeks to keep your youngsters engaged maximising ball time. A great example.

    This is an excellent session being run by an excellent coach. For those who are asking, I don't think all of the players in the video are U8's, but then again, that part is irrelevant. The relevant part is that the session is quality, fun, and age appropriate training for U8 players. He could have used adults in the video and the session would still be quality, fun, and age appropriate for U8's. You can run this session with 10 different U8 groups and all 10 will look slightly different given the ability of the players, but the exercises used and guided discovery questions asked are all top notch. Well done coach!

    Thank you for your videos. Just had my best practice with my 5 and 6 year olds. I'm sure it will be the same for my 7-9. It's very rewarding to see their smiling faces throughout practice. Again thank you.

    Well done coach...taught me something valuable to be a parent coach.

      No such thing as a parent coach...you are one or the other not both. If you assume you are, then so do other parents and players on the team, and leaves you wide open to favouritism (With a U ) criticism. But good on you for getting out there coaching, but try not to with your child if you can..think how they feel...getting coached before during and after practice and games. That quality time you had has now evaporated as YOU are now shared with a bunch of other kids.

    Thank you for this video. I need drills that are fun but also have hidden meanings which improve the players skills. I coach 5-8 year olds with my friend at my club so I can earn some money and I am definitely going to use some of these drills in my sessions. Thanks.

      No offense, but alot of it is confusing to kids. Just have them play the game simply

    How large was the practice area?

    • @mirzinho8721
      @mirzinho8721 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I can see it's probably something like 20x20m or maybe 15x20. It's just because there's not much kids here, you can use a bigger practice area if you have more kids/players.

  • @RP-hr8or
    @RP-hr8or 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    why are the kids so quite...

    • @djluki88
      @djluki88 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because they know they're gonna get whooped game day when they go against players that are doing real training. At U8, he's coaching them with alien games. This is why US soccer sucks.

    • @mirzinho8721
      @mirzinho8721 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow, you must be a pro coach. Tell me, what do you consider "real training" for U8?

  • @dwaipayandattaroy9801
    @dwaipayandattaroy9801 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ouakar for soccer

  • @TheDerrenbergers
    @TheDerrenbergers 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why is this called "U8 Activities"? These kids are obviously not 7 and 8 years old. This is misleading to U8 coaches, because kids in that age range are not as coordinated as the older kids in the video. I'm not saying the video is bad, just mislabeled.

    He's having them play tag games at U8..what kind of training is this...

    • @mirzinho8721
      @mirzinho8721 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're kids, the primary objective is for them to have fun and learn as they're doing it. Tag games help the kids think about movement, space and timing. If you're not a licensed coach please don't take the liberty to comment negatively on something you have no idea about.

    • @djluki88
      @djluki88 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mirzinho8721 oh yeah, you don't need to be a licensed coach to see the results of this type of training.
