My husband never even got screened at the VA! We’ve been asking for years for TBI testing! He went through a screening before he left the military and the Corpsman said he was lying because his scores were so high on the preliminary exam. SMH.
Same WTH how do we get scientifically tested DXd and treated, do we all need to go to Walter Reed or what . VA flat out ignoring vets and refusing TBI care
It's no different than any other government agency. Their priority is saving money for themselves and their departments, which in the VA case means denying vets disability.
Shameful and unnecessary behavior of professional medical staffers. This is why vets do not trust medical professionals who have not seen combat. So very unprofessional. The Vets are the reason why each of those staffers get to become doctors. We as a people need to demand better standards for Vets.
The President of the United States Donald J Trump should have weighed in on this disturbing matter about how VA Hospitals in New Orleans treated its disabled Veterans for years. This make the Secetary over this Department responsible.
I'm a veteran myself with a TBI, after 20 years I finally realized that being knocked unconscious counted whether it was from a bomb or something else. The Memphis VA has been nothing but absolutely wonderful for me. I understand that might not go so well for other patrons of Memphis VA.
This happened to me back in 2010. I fractured several lumbar fractures after a negligent driver decided to unnecessarily drive like an asshole on an undulated road. A month and a half later I would be deployed to Afghanistan as a heavy SAW gunner. A month into my deployment I turned on the song All I have by Matt Kearney, I racked back my saw and was about to do a quick burst into my mouth, but I saw my moms eyes and I cried like a baby. I called doc haven and he came to my rescue. Over 13 years later and I still find my self about to pull the trigger. Still, never any images done on my brain or any therapy for it. I was just blamed for using marijuana and put in a substance abuse course. I had a positive tbi screening after my accident, but now I see why my chain of command was so nice to me. The value of that injury. I have every single documentation of my service records. Help me please
I do not remember half my life and have PTSD/TBI and have not been given credit for under-aged classified military service from when I was 16 in 1992 and was not treated properly and was retaliated against and classified with being mentally unstable and witnesses killed from a military police assault with photos posted online and my reputation trashed and war criminals rewarded. My graduate Professors that were involved in the attack did not even pay or credit me for my graduate pharmaceutical research.

I am a veteran, this doesn't surprise me at all
I am not surprised...they hardly listen to us Veterans when we do tell them what is going on with us. They play it down.

I know Priscilla Peltier personally. She is easily one of the most honest and caring people I've ever met. And now one of the bravest.
This happened to me....

Why are the Pol who have the truth called whistleblowers 😒

That doctor should be fired and lose his license. He is idiot and greed...
Took the VA 30 years to diagnose my neurological problems. Now the VA is done, Unless I take many pills that don’t help. Pill pill pil is the VA WAY.
Lincoln's promise.
They told me, we dont go chasing diagnosis that aren't there.
Kinda like how the church treats people!
