This brings me to tears writing this because I love my country and don't want to see in an any bad light, lots of tears for all of us lost for the love of our country
One of my VA doctors told me that I was suffering from depression because “your brain just doesn’t produce enough serotonin”. He told me with a sense of authority that “peoples experiences cannot result in long term symptoms. When your dad dies you don’t grieve for the rest of your life.” When the medication he prescribed me caused a psychotic break and suicide attempt (which had never happened before) he tried to double my dosage.
Dude, I totally feel what you mean. Thanks to the VA, I feel like a pharmacologist. I've been put on so many different medications that I feel like a lab rat. Doctor's are just giving me everything hoping that I either shut up or overdose.
I am an 81-year-old disabled combat vet with MS and epilepsy. Narcotics from the VA only cause more issues, (16 hospitalizations in 17 years) and do not stop my seizures. Natural CBD medicine (1/4 of a gram a day 1:1 mixture) is the only thing that stops my seizures. (Zero hospitalizations in almost 9 years) Without CBD medicine, I have up to 50 seizures a day. (Seizures can be fatal) 250mg a day of CBD cost an absurd $1,100.00 to $1,200.00 a month at any dispensary, or online This is more than I can afford with a total income of $1,080.00 a month. I still have to pay rent in a senior apartment. $890.00 and then eat and all else. Why does it cost so much in America and in other countries it is a few dollars? I'm not asking for handouts, just reasonably affordable medicine. I just want to live a little longer. The COMP program allows me to obtain my medicine @ wholesale or FOR THE COST OF DELIVERY. Medicine is donated that is unsaleable, because of poor trimming, poorly cured, shelf life, overstock, and a variety of other reasons. CBD can still be extracted, and also made into edibles, some patients smoke the flowers. The new owners would prefer to SPEND EXTRA MONEY TO DESTROY IT!!!.. over continuing to provide it to those who have no way to obtain it. With enough awareness, we may persuade them to continue the COMP free medicine program. Please us in our fight, with your contribution. gofund.me/fd76d2f1
I was hit on the side of my body which blew off my left leg pulled off my left arm and crushed my skull on left side. I was never helped and was told that I just had a bad bruise on my brain and it could not be healed, they simply give me psycotrophic drugs, I asked for help but was told they could only take blood out of my leg and face. I went to an Asian doctor and he said that he was surprised that I was alive because my skull was caved it that was why I could not talk or walk well including left legdamage. ??this was in Viet Nam behind lines 1975 with MAC V SOG US SPECIAL FORCES, it is now 2023 and just getting some help. Was told recently OH you're ok, disagreed and explained completely loss of memory regularly and bad head trauma not remembering where and who I am. The asian doc was more help and recovering better Because he actually adjusted my skull and did acupuncture, at least he helped
You should file a lawsuit with an employment law firm that works on a contingency basis (they don’t get paid upfront and only get paid if they reach a settlement, which usually happens when a lawsuit is filed bc it forces the defendant to settle ) …you literally could get a multi-hundred thousand-$mil settlement EASILY. Heed my words. This is 1000% possible for you n you could retire early. I’m 100% serious.
I've been diagnosed with tbi and never got a follow up treatment also ptsd diagnoses. Have noticeable memory loss, ptsd, can't sleep well at night. Been seaking therapy on my own and I just now stumbled into this video. I was never told or another follow up for anything... this is infuriating. God how I've struggled this far, I keep going because of responsibilities and all I want is to be me again. Idk if I was always like this but when you have family telling you are you ok it's definitely a clear sign I'm probably not. Fml man this isn't what I signed up for
This happened to me back in 2010. I fractured several lumbar fractures after a negligent driver decided to unnecessarily drive like an asshole on an undulated road. A month and a half later I would be deployed to Afghanistan as a heavy SAW gunner. A month into my deployment I turned on the song All I have by Matt Kearney, I racked back my saw and was about to do a quick burst into my mouth, but I saw my moms eyes and I cried like a baby. I called doc haven and he came to my rescue. Over 13 years later and I still find my self about to pull the trigger. Still, never any images done on my brain or any therapy for it. I was just blamed for using marijuana and put in a substance abuse course. I had a positive tbi screening after my accident, but now I see why my chain of command was so nice to me. The value of that injury. I have every single documentation of my service records. Help me please
Im still getting t bagged out here in san diego va. Everything not service connected. I met a guy that had a missing leg and they told em not service connected. Smfh
Also Muskogee oklahoma V.A. ... they said that I was diagnosed with it and getting treatment...my family would drive me to appointments and sit with me during my treatment....when I filled for compensation everything disappeared.... all record's ... when I confronted them with proof I have to show i was there.... they started treating me poorly
Hard to make a blanket statement about what the problem is. When I came back from Iraq I had to go through three psych evals. At the time the VA was overreacting to politics and the theory was to evaluate every soldier three times to ensure they were "OK". One physiologist had been a military brat and had been in the Army and we just talked. The other two seemed bored with their jobs and I really did not know if these two were actually doctors or clerks. I felt that my back was against the wall from the moment they started talking. They did not know what I did in the Army, they did not know my rank, they did not even know what part of the world that I had deployed to. They just sat there reading questions off the computer screen and very seldom looked up. One question went something like this: "While deployed were you ever subjected to an explosion or blast that left you with a headache, left you momentarily confused, or shaken? " My reply: "No, not while deployed but in the years prior to deployment it probably happened a few times." and they moved on to the next question. Nothing came of the three interviews but over the next few years I read article after article about the police stealing service members personally owned weapons because they were being seen for PTSD type of thing. Even if the Soldiers were never deemed a danger to anyone many of the phycologists had notified the local law enforcement that the person was going through evaluation or treatment and the law enforcement made the decision to forcibly disarm the service member.
And thats the problem trying to treat brain inflammation and hormones with Pysch Drugs which is malpratice. And all those doctors should be in jail. Its not difficult you run C-Reactive Protein, Cytokine panel, Testosterone Total, Free, Thyroid, etc. And the blood work tells you everything you need to know. Get help from Dr Gabe Frank frankinstitute.com dont suffer.

No it's not. All of us veterans know what the problem is. We need help with jobs, family, and what opportunities and benefits we have access to. Of course there is the mental and physical side but that's not the major problem. Bro I was homeless for 3 years guess when the VA finally called me about help? 6 months after I wasn't homeless anymore. When I make appointments I can't name one time I didn't have to wait 3 months minimum to see someone most of the time it's way longer. Being reliant on the VA and having no other options and then how they treat all of us just compounds the problems. They are federal employees collecting paychecks they could care less that's a problem. They are most likely the worst in their fields or they would not be working for the VA and federal government. They would have their own business or be in a private or civilian job let's be honest
@chillwill5080 most veterans have no choice but to use the VA. When the VA fails to help them or to actually treat them for what's wrong instead of symptoms or just pill push them yeah the VA fails them. Just look at the amount of corruption involved with the VA. Look at the amount of lawsuits against them. Do I need to just keep listing more? 30% of VA employees are veterans. I was homeless for 2 years guess when the VA finally contacted me for a hud voucher after constantly talking to them about my situation? When I finally found a home. They are a garbage organization because they are the bureaucratic federal government and the majority of their employees are there for a paycheck nothing else. No doctor worth a damn is going to work for the VA and not have their own private practice. That's like saying the lawyer on tv is a better lawyer than one bluefaced used.
Veterans and their immediate families have deservingly earned the rights to live comfortably. Why are they given the short end of the stick, knowing they've sacrificed theirs lives for ALL..
I gave up on them and canceled my appointments.all I wanted was a walker or a new set of crutches?I feel really bad for someone that really needs help.there building a multi million dollars building new me.it’s beautiful.someone’s getting rich.
Just shut them down and FIRE EVERYONE. Untill then just record every call and appointment. He is not the only one that's suffering. My time in the Marine corps should not be a REGRET. Yet guess what? I wish I would have never joined, not because my TIS, but because the battle with the VA is DEVASTATING TO ONES SELF ESTEEME.
VBA depends on faulty VHA examinations which only consider whether the veteran CURRENTLY has a TBI and uses that non-confirmation as alleged evidence that the condition did not (previous) exist. The problem is that TBIs are based on a previous injury in service with current symptoms from them. It’s a wordplay thing they are doing.
VA housing is basically Rescue Missions soo sad. The VA released my dad to a Nursing Home didn’t tell nobody. We issued a missing persons report. They didn’t even tell the detective that was on the case.
Just the continuing legacy of W. Bush's hubris and unnecessary wars. We will be paying for this disaster for years to come in treasure, human lives, and respect among the community of nations. If only Al Gore would have been elected, but no, we have the electoral college to blame for this disaster. ~a veteran.
Can anyone help us vets who served proudly and would go back over and over to Serve our Country but yet the VA has failed us more than 99% we have doctors who say tbi and ptsd is curable. That what my dr Ramachandran told me. She was from Iraq?? I think god I had other drs to look at me and helped me. It feels like no doctors at the VA care about our sacrifices and trust me leads to suicide. That dr who decline the soldiers TBI diagnosis shame on him he should’ve been there to help him and saved his life just like he did when he served our country and went to battle for how many years shame on that doctor. Now all we have is a phone number that we call and have to wait for hours on end then to be sent to another phone number not understand what they’re saying and they get sent to another number which we need to stop having phone operators and actually have people who are trained for our service members and who care about our country bottom line.
Well today I am going to surprise a lucky vet with a scavenger hunt at the Seattle VA. Someone will find ten gold dollar coins there. Hint: pretty obvious where it is.
The worst kind of doctor is the kind that treats you like you're pretending. Nothing pisses me off more.
VA doctors always claim we're pretending.
Stop tripping over the curb. We know you're pretending to not be able to see.
This brings me to tears writing this because I love my country and don't want to see in an any bad light, lots of tears for all of us lost for the love of our country
It's pathetic how the vets are treated. They deserve the best care for putting their lifes on the line for this country
One of my VA doctors told me that I was suffering from depression because “your brain just doesn’t produce enough serotonin”. He told me with a sense of authority that “peoples experiences cannot result in long term symptoms. When your dad dies you don’t grieve for the rest of your life.”

The is military should rake over all the damm va and help there sokdiers ans veterans themselves.
Rest in peace brother. You are not alone.
“Your injuries are not service related”, the guy who got his let blown off by enemy artillery: 💀

I really wish someone would talk to me. I use to work at the Seattle VA Hospital. I was a whistle blower and got taken down really bad.

We need to talk, I’m in Seattle area and I can’t even believe some of the things the Seattle RO is doing , it’s shocking.
They told me i was making it up. But i have police reports verifying it all. So no help for me !
My doctor at the Roseburg oregon VA told me they are told to “diagnose symptoms of tbi, not tbi itself. They VA is a system of malpractice.
The VA in Winston-Salem, NC has to be the worst. They lead the pack in wrongful TBI denials.
I've been diagnosed with tbi and never got a follow up treatment also ptsd diagnoses.

that is v concerning...
We need better care for our veterans, they sacrificed so much
Government should not be involved in Healthcare. I am so sorry for these veterans. I have never had any real problems with care i receive .
Veterans don't get the day off. It's a government employee day off.

Diagnosis of complicated veterans = lower star facility rating = lower bonuses for staff.🥺
🥺
Guarantee this wasn't a mistake. This was done on purpose by some C suite VA rep to lower the budget and get a personal bonus for a job well done.
Phoenix Arizona VA has the exact same problem. I swear to God!

If yall care about whistleblowers so much why isnt CBS and other MSM outlets calling to #FreeAssange #PardonSnowden???
Because the News is in the loop that there freedom isn't really at stake and that it's all an act.

@chillwill5080 yes
I gave up calling the VA to get through to anyone. I have to email my care providers in myhealth.va.gov .
What do you expect??!! Look who we have for POTUS!! America is now 3rd world!
Stay mad loser
Are there methods the police and gov. Agencies prefer about Home invasion, protection against I mean.
Well today I am going to surprise a lucky vet with a scavenger hunt at the Seattle VA. Someone will find ten gold dollar coins there. Hint: pretty obvious where it is.
Let me explain the game. There are 3 kitty's. Only one kitty box has thirty dollars. The other two are decoys.
The kitty's are in plain view but only one has thirty dollars.
