I know you spoke about how studying is instilled in you. But can you please give some details on how you are studying for the Nclex-RN. Truth be told I failed. And I’m thinking I’m using too many resources from Archer, Remar, Saunders, my ATI books & Mark klimex. So, I’m honestly trying to figure out the best way to go about studying to pass/ or just constantly do nclex questions before April 1.. Any advice?
@@medschooldiva1989 Heyyy and yes! Use less resources I always recommend doing 100 questions a day with Uworld and making sure to read each rationale. And secondly using Mark Klimek lectures! I just filmed a study Vlog today showing how I preparing for the NCLEX so be on the lookout on the channel. Hope this helps🖤

Been an LPN for 10 years and I loveeee 3-11 and 11-7 Shift… that double is sooo smooth for me. PCC is an easy system to use

That’s a good shift for new nurses not too many meds at 12 maybe some prns throughout the night and 6am pass, nights over ☺️..congratulations I was a lvn for a few years then got my RN ..you have made the best decision of your life🎉🎉

You can work 12s in long term care as an LPN it just depends on the facility. Also you make more money in most cases in long term care as an LPN than in the hospital. Also in med surg you obviously are limited with what you can do in the hospital. In long term care you can do everything required for your job

@@MaInfamousI went to Boces in Hudson Falls NY. It was a one year program with a part time 18 month option. I’m unsure where you live, but I’m sure there’s other locations. Good luck! Best decision I ever made.

Both professions have their pros & cons
Why not work at a LTC facility that does 12 hour shifts… from what I know the hospitals don’t pay as well as long term care. Plus with med surge your patients are in and out .
Never heard of a LTC facility that does 12 hour shifts out in NY. I’ll look into it

love watching your videos 🥰, they convince me more to go into nursing! I’m also located in NY, I wanted to know does every LPN program require the TEAS exam to get in the program? Do you also know of LPN programs that don’t require the TEAS? Would love a video on how you prepared for the TEAS & what books you recommend to use for studying .

I just took the teas 7. You HAVE to take either the teas or the hesi
Thank you!❤️ and not all programs require the TEAS, some programs will have their own specific entrance exam instead. I took the TEAS exam for a RN program that I ended up not even going to. But for my LPN & RN (at a different university) I wasn’t required to take the TEAS exam at all. My LPN school was Boces but I believe they still require some sort of entrance examination. I attended Boces while in high school so we didn’t have to take it

I know I was in nursing school about a year ago and I had horrible, racist instructors what would write me up for no reason. They intimidated me so much plus with all the new things I was learning I felt pressure and intimidation. They were gonna make my life a living hell. But I plan to go back to school as a lpn but at a different location. I'm still debating whether or not I wanna try lpn or dental assistant. I always wanted to be a nurse. I was originally going for nurse practitioner. I finished all my classes I just had trouble passing the act to get into RN school. But, the good thing about that is I can do the bridge program. Any advice to deal with assholes or discouragement? And what's the toughest thing about being a nurse?
Hey I'm sorry to hear that! Honestly when it comes to school I would report the incident to the dean or whoever runs the program. Make sure to write out a detailed letter of the multiple instances where you felt placed in uncomfortable situations. It sucks to have sh*tty profressors but if they're really in the wrong I'm reporting it to the HIGHER UPS immediately!

I don't want you to say how much you started off with. Was just wondering how much a new grad LPN would make just starting off? Thx in advance 🙂
