Well I wouldn’t break rule of going over something again and again. Put the wash down once and let it go until next layer. Unless you are in a wet area of course.

Hello Liron, so glad to here from you, have all bells, whistles, etc, telling me you have put on another Fantastic WATERCOLOUR TUITION, yet again, just lashed out on a expensive printer, about £700 that can take watercolour paper, as have always hated transferring drawings onto watercolour paper using graphite, arrived 2 days ago, but due to poor health, going to try to sort it out, today, and it better do what it says its supposed to do, or ill health or not will personally tell them to !!!!! It, LOL, also to turn images to B & W, for tonal contrasts, sketches etc, BUT!!! this might be wishful thinking !!!!!, I have pain 24/7 due to over 50 odd years as insulin diabetic, got it aged 9, in 1968, now 64, pain is nerve damage in feet and hands, painting is how I get away from pain, and keeps me alive, all went wrong about 14 years ago, had pancreas transplant, 12 years ago, but anti-rejection drugs are like taking rat poison, now diag. with 2nd stage leukaemia, 3 months ago, me & wife just said add it to list !!!!! LOL Now you'll understand when said DRAWING & WATERCOLOUR painting, takes me away from everything, pain, also STOPS ME, ending up in NUT HOUSE !!!!!! LOL Keep Carrying on, I know it's hard for you out there, me, you and others, have to, has to be some sanity, on this planet. Best wishes, to you and family, Take care STEVE FROM LONDON

@@stampinturtles Thank you, so much, I've got to the point now, I just accept it, as been through so many health issues due to this awful disease, didn't expect to last this long !!!!, even consultants are amazed, but gets me down, as worked all my life, and was so active, did windsurfing for 27 years, in winter and summer, etc, but to old and burnt out now, used to be kicked to floor, end up in Hospital, nearly dying each time, I'd get up, dust myself off, and carry on, but now, just get lost in the studying of my Art, and forget everything, fortunately, my wife understands, when disappear upstairs to my art room. Have no defences, so someone sneezes a mile away, I get it, rushed to hospital, with pneumonia, where it trys to kill me, had pneumonia about 17-18 times now, each Autumn/winter, have battle to stay alive, been this way most of life, but older, and had transplant about 12 years ago, so anti-rejection drugs make it worse, and been informed, the Leukemia, is prob. caused by the Anti-Rejection drugs !!!!! so lose if you do, and lose if you don't. !!!! LOL So, hey, Ho !!!!, I've always had my interests, and WATERCOLOUR Painting, and always curious about things, and willing to learn, even at my age!!!! LOL Take Care Steve

@@stampinturtles I see a comment one time, and they said about hell and heaven, they put " if there is hell & heaven, I hope this is Hell, & not the other way round, otherwise I'm in serious trouble ", I had to laugh, often thought about what or who, I might have been in previous life, to deserve what has happened to me in this life, ( if you believe in that sort of thing ), I think I must have been someone evil, like a guard on a concentration camp or something, because just as I recover from another attempt on my life, through infections etc, I get hit with something else !!!! . SO IF you know of someone, whose a complete hypochondriac, tell them, they can have ALL MY LOT, FOR NOTHING, that way, I can be left in peace, so can do my ART!!!!!!! LOL STEVE FROM LONDON

There isn’t really a formula for vibrant colors, because the context of them all together is what leads to what you describe. I also think it’s a matter of personal taste and what you like. A bit of a cop out answer but hoping it makes sense 🙏🏼

I’ve been mostly using the Versatil (size 8 I believe), and Barroco (16).
The Barroco is a huge favorite of mine, I’ve really gotten used to it
I like painting darker to lighter from time to time because it grounds values.
