Dear Scott, Your passion for life, your laughter, your amazing talent and complete fearlessness, the times we shared are forever etched in my memory...RIP dear friend...you are missed....
Scott was probably the first guy in the world to do a Chris Walken impression. We all went to The Columbus in NYC one night in '87 and Chris Walken was there with his wife Georgianne and Chris asks, "Where's Scott... where's that sonofabitch?" We were like, "He's in the bathroom... he'll be here in a minute." Chris says, "I knew he was here... I could feel his dark presence. I can smell when he's near."
I'm so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I studied w/ him in NY in the 80's under Elaine Aiken. We worked on that damn Sweet Bird of Youth scene for years it felt like. He was an amazing actor, so gifted, sensitive & generous. A real loss.
today watching the film LA Takedown, I wondered what had happened to Scott Plank ... and I discovered that in 2002, died of his injuries after a car accident. Absurd only discover today what has happened the past 11 years. Saddens me this much .. I think it was a good actor, I'm very sorry he's gone so soon.RIP Scott
It wasn't a car accident. Don't know where that came from. Scott drove motorcycles... even when drinking, which is why he's gone. He got injured and didn't go to the hospital for fear of being busted, that's why he died a few days later.
I have not seen nearly enough of this talented, handsome young man’s work. I distinctly remember him from ‘LA Takedown’ and have recently seen his role in ‘The Division’. The loss at such a young age of someone with such bright prospects and promising future is so devastating. As a longtime fan of another young man lost too soon, fellow actor Peter Duel, I would like to send my thoughts and regards via this brief message to Mr. Plank’s family, friends and fans. To the latter, I know the disappointment you’ve felt. But thanks to the Internet and all of your memories, someone special will never be forgotten.
Wow ! I just happened to look for Scotty on facebook and was led to google ! I am very surprised , did not know of Scotts accident . We played baseball here in LA in the late 90's and had kept in touch for a while . What a good guy , very active , personable , fun loving spirit !
Scott was doing A Chorus Line at The Pantages in the late '70s and I was working backstage. In the middle of the show Scott was in the wings doing some kind of hip thrust with the rest of his cast mates and he motioned for me to get in the line before their entrance. I did, hip thrust and all, and as they were moving on stage I bailed out at the last second. I'm sure he got a kick out of his antics. Scott was a great guy and fun to be around. He shook his mortal coil way too early.
I only come across Scott in LA Takedown. At low budget trial for Michael Manns HEAT i was instantly drawn to Scott. Sad to learn he died. This video who ever made it is beautiful and shows a happy loving nice man. RIP
Scott Plank was so perfect in LA Takedown along with with Alex McArthur. I always preferred that film to Heat. I had no idea he had passed away though so was shocked to stumble across this. How very sad and what a touching tribute to a great actor. Even his dogs were cool dammit.
A beautiful tribute. I just got a DVD of L.A. TAKEDOWN, as I was reconstructing Michael Mann's reworking those crime themes. So there was Scott Plank as Hanna, and I wondered the usual "Whatever happend to... " Not to be morbid, but could someone tell me if it is true that he was found at his desk? Someone claimed that elsewhere. One presumes after a car accident, he might have been in the hospital.
@@RancherUSAFLA Wow, you're old school. I mainly knew him from the late 80s to early 90s. He was friends with my aunt and now uncle who was a friend back then. I think they all went to acting classes together in New York at the time they met. When did you last speak to Scott?
@@TheKitchenerLeslie I don't remember the last date. It was over holidays and we spoke on the phone. Before that he was on one of my flights (maybe 1988-1991) I was a Flight Attendant/Purser for Pan Am. I remember it well because when he was disembarking he kissed me unembarrassed and unabashedly full on the mouth. He always knew I was gay and he didn't care what anyone thought of him kissing a man. He was one of a kind. I was privileged to call him my friend.
So sad.. Rest In Peace Scott Plank... I will always remember him for his role as "Trout Walker" in Holes. He did a great job playing him.
Me too but I never knew he died right after holes was made
Man was an underrated badass R.I.P. Scott.
Who was more badass Scott Plank or Jeff Fahey?
Just saw Scott Plank in a Miami vice episode called 'Red Tape'. He does an excellent job. R.I.P. Scott
He had a bright future ahead i saw him from holes the movie man he was a legend 😞

Great actor and looks like he’d have been a great baseball player, always sad to watch something like this but it’s a nice video celebrating his life
The accident story is BS.

I knew Scott for a little bit here in Los Angeles through my friend David and Aunt Patty. He was a good guy, wish he was still around.

RancherUSAFLA Did you make this video and know Scott ?
Scott was my friend. The video was made by another of Scott's friends and co-worker. This was shown at Scott's memorial service.
Sorry for your loss. What a great tribute

Thank you so much. Strange Luck brought me here and I never heard of such a strange
thing happening. How sad.
thankx for this i was just watxhing a movie and discovered this actor he was a nice man i bet
He did die in his home. He did not go to the hospital after the car accident thinking it was minor so I've been told.
