@@yahyakhalid6160 I wish many actors today would be as good as Lee Strasberg as his students who became legends. My favorite actors in the 21st century is Joaquin Phoenix (The Master) and Daniel Day Lewis (There Will Be Blood). I know it's possible to be masterful without an acting class. I can act but not professionally as I wished to be but better than some young actors who no one acknowledges for talent but looks. I'm a heavy film buff who watches classics and even crappy films to know the difference of what to do or what not to do with making a movie.
@@kingamoeboid3887 Try to rummage into the Sanford Meisner technique. I haven't yet studied the Strasberg technique but that works for me. It is all about spontaneity and preparation but Strasberg might outvie him in that department of acting because of how he accesses emotion through relaxation.
In the 1979 movie “going in style” with Art Kearney, George Burns and Lee Strasburg. There was a heart attack death scene in a New York City park with carnival music in the background . Lee Strauss was incredible.
I get a little Misty Eyed when I see Lee Strasberg as Sam Kirkland. It evokes Memories when I visited My Grandmother at The Retirement Home. She was Blind but she was always so cheerful and happy to see me.

Reciting the texte, waiting for is line, fixing the other actor, pausing for the camera, not in the present moment... With all respect. Better as a teacher than an actor...
Lee's good in the "Godfather Pt. 2". But Clift did not study with him. In his autobiography Arthur Miller says he called Lee a "charlatan". Brando and others also criticized him.
Lee Strasberg and Al Pacino, what a wonderful and moving scene. Bravo 👏🏻
Fantastic actor. He had a very unusual method, but no one can deny it worked wonders
You can't compare these so called actors today to this man
Lee acting draws you in
😳 lmaooo viola Davis? Meryl Streep?? Okay budd.
Today's actors not these veterans but yeah, young actors are great.

@@sovietninja6865 Those are veterans and older and mature actors.
Very impressing performance in The Godfather. R I P
Also as many of you know Lee Strasberg's Daughter Susan made History being the first of Many Actresses who played Anne Frank.
and as the teacher in Bloody Birthday (1981)

I used to watch Strasberg as Kirkland with my dad years before my dad was diagnosed with dementia. Now it's really hard to watch.
I love my mom's crumble. I don't agree with her baking techniques or the ingredients she uses, but the result is incredibly delicious.
"People behaving like that with guns....Good Health, the MOST IMPORTANT THING, more than success, more than money, more than power..."
You forgot the scene in “ Alexandra Crossing ) 1976
Genuis .RIP Lee x
Now that was the hardest working man in show biz...
a legend
4:40 When Michael Corleone became a lawyer and Hymen Roth is a legit Olive Oil man with Vito in Alternate Universe
Thats honestly a nice thought ngl.
Teacher Brando, DeNiro, Pacino, Nichoson.
Lee was a good actor. There are many good actors. He did not teach Brando. Stella Adler taught Brando and DeNiro among others.
Another protege of his as you know was Ellen Burstyn and even Brenda Dickson who was one of 7 actresses to play Jill Foster Abbott on Y & R.
"He was stupid I was lucky, I'll visit him soon"☠💀
He is always sitting, is that a characteristic of his method?
He was already ill during the filming of G2
It's the characteristic of someone with poor health.

@2BitterFucks
I'm sorry, too. But what kind of sense are you making?
You admit you don't understand . . . but then you make a conclusion based on it?
Its interesting how half the actors hate his method an the other half say he’s the best. No denying he can act himself.
I think he acts AS himself.
why do they hate his method?
@@zahinelahi2655 I think some think they are over acting. Idk I’m assuming I don’t own the skill of being a famous actor lol
@selty What's not practical about method acting all it boils down to is acting truthfully..Some great method actors come out of the actors studio

It Has Nothing in Business with Moe Greene!!
Doesn't say much but they get it done with much less
