It's my opinion that you should disable the centering spring on the throttle if you plan to fly in manual/acro mode at all. It's easy to just center the stick when flying DJI quads in Normal mode but the consequences of that stick jumping to center because you forgot or it slips on a betaflight quad would be a disaster. My suggestion if you plan to fly both modes is to have some tension on the throttle stick so it stays in place nicely when centered but definitely disable the spring.

22:48 - same issue with the AUX2 3-position switch here with the same setup (O3+G3+RC3). It's not just initialization. Changes fail to register about 1 out of 20 times. Happens in both fast and standard sbus mode. I've spotted one more person mentioning this on the DJI forums. Not very confidence-inspiring.
@@JoshuaBardwell I can't say. I saw that switch misbehaving in the configurator when I set it up a few days ago and decided not to assign any functionality to it. Just now I tried to check, but can't reproduce the issue anymore (in the configurator or otherwise). I did install the new V01.00.0300 (RC3) and V01.00.0400 (Goggles 3) firmware earlier today, so that may have fixed it. If you're only seeing this in the configurator that'd speak to either a configurator/UI bug or updates getting dropped on USB. This is something I've occasionally observed with the SpeedyBee app, but not the configurator on PC.

Off the topic but my RC 3 controller have suddenly showing up stick calibration glitch where detects 100% yaw on right when kept all the way down and center. It causes interference while cutting throttle or try to land. Makes aircraft spin full speed. 😅 I saw couple of threads with similar problems. But there was no solution. Calibration & firmware refresh do not fix this. I think it’s hardware thing , may be repair or replacement of joystick. My RC is hardly 2 months and we don’t have Dji support here.

i have a Axis flying Manta 5, and using the DJI03, using the Goggles 2, and recently got a radiomaster receiver and have disabled the sbus on o3 connection so I can use port 2 where the receiver is connected on flight controller. The radio binds to the elrs radiomaster receiver, and I have changed from sbus to crossfire in betaflight, but when I go to the receivers' tab in betafligh I get no colour in the stick movements. Do I have to flash betaflight firmware and selecting the CRSF protocol instead of SBUS?

@@JoshuaBardwell i also checked logs and there seems to be no real way to see the cpu usage on blackbox however i noticed that during some of my flights gps would disconnect (to zero sats) and reconnect to full strength so its not just the o3 being affected which could prove to be a problem even when i switch to elrs. I also lowered the baudrate of my gps even down to 19k and that fixed the gps going away but not the o3. I have DJI drones but the Nazgul Eco is my first proper FPV. Love your videos by the way 😊
Thanks
22:48 - same issue with the AUX2 3-position switch here with the same setup (O3+G3+RC3). It's not just initialization. Changes fail to register about 1 out of 20 times. Happens in both fast and standard sbus mode. I've spotted one more person mentioning this on the DJI forums. Not very confidence-inspiring.
Yeah but it doesn't happen in the OSD for me, only the configurator. So it seems like it works correctly. Is that not the case for you?
If you leave the left stick with the spring on it, do you arm the motors with it pulled downed in the lowest position? I'm having troubles with mine.
Yes, exactly. The throttle must be down to arm.
Depending on what googles you have... Your controller might not be compatible.
Yes, with the o3 most things are compatible. Vistas aren't compatible with the googles v2 with the controller 2 unless you have a googles 2...
Hi Josh , did you run into any issues with the 03 air unit overheating? This thing overheats after about 30 seconds
Yes. It needs airflow to avoid overheating. Put a small fan on it if you're working on the bench.
By using O3+Goggles3+RC3 am forced to obey geo fence fly zones such as close to airports?
No.
Please tell me how to set diffrent PID Rates to DJI RC on de c1 button please. I dont get it 😢
I have an older clracing F7 v2.0 , and I can't for the life of me get this working. Firmware is up to date all around sbus is installed and the receiver tabs shows bars but no movement. Also the osd is not working yet but I have not tried a different UART just the one. Is it to old ? I'm using Goggles and remote 3
Hello friend, I would like some help on a subject that has nothing to do with your video. I installed a GPS on a drone with Betaflight 4.5.0 and it has a difference in direction and distance of approximately 30m, can you tell me what it could be?
Off the topic but my RC 3 controller have suddenly showing up stick calibration glitch where detects 100% yaw on right when kept all the way down and center. It causes interference while cutting throttle or try to land. Makes aircraft spin full speed. 😅
I saw couple of threads with similar problems. But there was no solution. Calibration & firmware refresh do not fix this. I think it’s hardware thing , may be repair or replacement of joystick. My RC is hardly 2 months and we don’t have Dji support here.
Hey joshua I have a cinebot 30 I've been using ethix fsp 2450 kv 1607 I fly with a full size gopro and my motor shaft keep bending I've used 8 fsp motors till now and today my quad is getting in air with the new motors but its is heavily shaking in air making noise like a ufo.
i have a Axis flying Manta 5, and using the DJI03, using the Goggles 2, and recently got a radiomaster receiver and have disabled the sbus on o3 connection so I can use port 2 where the receiver is connected on flight controller.
I have a question about my newbeedrone and beta flight my receiver tab is locked up and won’t let me select the serial receiver provider and my tx12 will bind and then say rx signal critical and telemetry lost and then reconnect and do it again sometimes will bind to let me fly but then disconnect when I change batteries. I’ve also deleted all files off of remotes sd card and then reinstalled.
Dji Rc smart controller works like dji rc controller?
if only radiomaster can do a pocket type goggles 🎉
Hi, I have a radiomaster mt12 with er3c-i receiver. How can I add temperature sensor?
Hi Joshua, I need some help. I had a bad experience with Discord (not yours), so I don't want to create another account. What is the best way outside of Discord to achieve this? I was really hoping to fly this Saturday, but I'm lost on getting this controller connected.
Nevermind, I figured it out. I look forward to taking it up!
HELP! With dji rc on an f4 fc i am getting momentary rx loss and sometimes failsafe at just 50 feet away. I have heard people say that the cpu is overloading and it turns off sbus momentarily. I never had this issue with my F7 fc.
Reduce your pid loop rate to 2 kHz.
@@JoshuaBardwell I tried 1.6 khz and it reduced the problem significantly but did not make it go away. Already ordered an elrs reciver I was just trying to make things more streamlined and not use elrs on my dji quads. Never really had issues with it and i have taken it over 8km on long range flights. rc holds out far longer than video for los but for penetration it is more similar to video
Another interesting thing in the logs is that there seemed to be micro pid errors during rx loss.
Is the receiver on a softserial port or hardware UART?
@@JoshuaBardwell Hardware uart. It is on speedybee f405 v3 or v4.
what happens if you drop your RC 2 for the last time, and it kinda stops working, and you take it completely apart hoping to find an easy fix, and then don't and then let it sit in depression for days? I don't wanna solder another micro elrs RX :'(
My dji rc2 bind with o3 in cinelog 35 but not responding in betaflight, any advice to fix this ?
I got the same issue no stick movements in bf
@@valentinleuci i flash my aio and now working fine, but it is flipping off during take off. Any advice?
@@HimanshuYadav-e1oI solved my problem, check and double check the motors in your case, spin direction and search for a cli backup of your quad and double check then!
How to record audio with O3 system?
O3 does not support audio recording. Most people would run a separate HD camera (GoPro, etc) if they wanted audio.
I know it has nothing to do with this video, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the meteor 75 pro comes pre tuned
When livestream?!
Doesn't work for me, I get an error when I send the CLI command, I'm disappointed because I can't control my 5" with O3+GG3+RC3 (I don't have another remote control)
What version of Betaflight are you using? Older versions don't have that command.
@@JoshuaBardwell the last one 10.10.0
That's the configurator version. What version of Betaflight firmware is on your flight controller. That's the info you need. Go to the CLI and type "version".
I finally success when I updated to 4.5.1, thank a lot for all your videos 😊
There is a kind of FPV pilot that isn't a hobbyist. They only own stuff that comes out of a box. When it breaks they get another one.
We will be here when they move to the next fad.
I cant believe DJI really blocked rc and goggles to work only on their generation, that's a mf move im so pissed. I have a flylens85 with goggles 2 and literary Just bought a new rc3, I was so excited to get It all setup, now I need to spend with a goggle3. That's freaking insane
14:13 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
After 9:00 you list off tons of crap and lost me😡
This is as clear as I can make it. If you are having trouble following along contact @itsblunty on discord and buy a 1 on 1 session from him and he'll walk you through it.
For people that are trying to do this and fallow along,,,, YOU GO WAY TOO FAST THROUGH THE PROCESS!!!!!
Pause the video any time you like.
Joshua crashing out bruh!
Imagine spending all that money on a dji controller when a pocket would do
Most people would have gotten the RC controller with Avata and then want to keep using it to avoid the additional expense.
@@JoshuaBardwell I like chocolate milk
😂
Better don’t use this controller 😅
I’m pretty sure I just ruined my drone trying to follow this and not knowing what to do, thanks
Being hostile in the comments is not how to get help.
Can you please grow your hair back and shave your beard?
Thanks!
