Yes you can. Ay be a bit more difficult, isn't seen much, but is great in a street fight scenario if you need escape. Just adapt with a typical hand around thr back of thr head grip for no gi. I am no master, but give it a go. The pin however may be difficult to get as we know obviously.

They are banned in many kinds of tournaments. We use to train them all the time back in the day for the heck of it on standing dummies ect. Don't see much of that old school stuff anymore.
