Hello Larry 5200 , this was another nice video to watch of the old Ossipee NH railroad line. Love the I29 B113 mile marker post you got on this video. The people that use those small little maintance train cars that are usually gas or diesel powered , have gone on that line with those maintance cars. I think they repainted those milemarkers post, I'm not sure though and it could of been the state doing that. My son Lew and I are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy exploring to you. ----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)
Hi Larry! Every time I subject myself to the torture of The Spalding, I glance over at these rails that follow my route, with a wistful sense of resignation of how there are only zombie passenger trains in this area.
We bought a house in CT with the same old track in the back of property. The track was an old pitchrestic track with wildlife walking it all day. We 4 years after buying and enjoying the house, track, and wildlife, Amtrck decided to run all new tracks, changing everything. It sucks
Hope that's a state park or something, I have about a half a mile of abandon track that runs through the backside of my property we've had some arrest back there just for trespassing they will climb right over wire fence with signage all over it and go walk the tracks Nothing like a $2700 criminal trespass fee. The south side of my property joins public land even with cameras at back there still get probably 20 people a year trying to go through the fence
I’ve been snowmobiling on those old rail trails along 16 in Ossipee! Cool video

First started out as the Eastern Railroad Company (1879) and then became Boston & Maine. Great video!
Thank You
Watch out for those ghost trains! Cool video!
@@danlhoy I swear I can hear them 👍

Curious little concrete pillars.
The concrete pillars were used to hold spare rails. They must have had issues with drainage even then
I would love to ride this on a rail bike.
@@neiljohnson6815 that would be awesome.

I was thinking the same thing! Build a fattire rail bike, then you can offroad it when rails are buried or missing.

@@golfbravowhiskey8669 These are public. Some are used as snowmobile trails and for hiking.
Larry, would you like to ride these on a speeder or railbike? Please contact me on facebook.com/hankwalther
