3 yrs. later I come across this deck and I truly love it! I came upon it after watching Thistledown! I wish to purchase the Tarot deck at least, from them though I live in the USA and don't know how much it will cost. I want the authenticity and support the creators of their work! Thank you for sharing!! ❤
I passed on this Kickstarter because I was rebelling against getting more animal decks. Then I regretted it and ended up pre-ordering it. Now I’m super excited for it! It is so sweet and gorgeous. 😍
If you haven't gotten a Northern Animals Tarot that already finished it's kickstarter...you may have to get yet another animal deck once it's publicly available!
I ordered mine the very second I saw it. I can’t wait as I live in the states and I know the second it arrives I will light my candles, incense, pour a nice glass of wine and celebrate the opening of this box like no other. I feel this will be my soul deck. Thanks for sharing
This deck is so beautiful, I was overcome with emotion just looking at the images. Stunning deck, thank you for sharing. I love all your walk-through's. Blessings.
I am truly in love with this enchanting deck. The animals are stunning, so beautiful and expressiv. As an crazy animallover I just have to order it now... it just scream "Malin, you have to buy me"! Thank you, Simon, for this lovely walk-through!🙏💖 Love and light from Sweden
Oh, thank you for posting this! I am waiting for my copy to arrive, I'm so happy to have gotten it! Such an earthy, quiet energy to this deck, absolutely gorgeous.
Love the little 'cheat sheet' cards. Great idea. I think all deck creators should be doing that. I have all my LWB's in a shoebox - this way I could keep the info with the cards at all time 🙂
I am so exited about this deck. I really needed a new fall and autumn deck, so I backed it on kickstarter. I really needed a new animal deck aswell and this is so, so beautiful. Easy to read with and just amazing. I am very pleased and can't wait for their new deck "Woodlands Dragons".
What a delightful deck - I have pretty much same feelings about certain cards - The Hermit and the one with fox looking at the distance with the light coming through the trees ❤️ Enjoy and Thank you for the walk through!
Thanks for your unique perspective - I appreciate you and am thankful for your thoughts. This is such a sweet deck - lovely walkthrough. I’m going to re-watch when I receive mine.
This is the first Kickstarter deck I ever backed, and I'm eagerly awaiting it--I'm in the States so who knows when it will arrive? Thanks for the preview, I know I'll love it. The artist is really brilliant and Stephanie has built a lot of meaning into each card.
I backed this deck as soon as I saw it - the art work is SO beautiful, features some of my favourite animals, and the fact that it's eco-friendly was a huge plus for me too. Mine arrived last Friday 😍💕 Hope you are doing ok in the lockdown x
I find the Temperance card a clever design in the fact that the swan’s feathered wings are instead of Pixie’s angel’s wings with the river flowing into the background. Beautiful deck that complements my animal oracle deck from another artist x
@The Hermit's Cave, last comment, I promise. First, I do love this Tarot Deck. Truly, beyond gorgeous! Second, I also love the practicality of the deck. A sturdy box, layout cloth, that doubles as a Tarot wrap, AND a sash to tie the wrap together. Third, I love the "Possibilities" Card. That could easily be used as either a black/unknowable card or a Grand Trump. For example, if "Possibilities" preceded The High Priestess, perhaps that combination could be interpreted as possibilities and opportunities available or already opening up for deepening and/or strengthening one's Intuition. Not to mention those separate unnamed and unnumbered art cards are wonderful opportunities for a purely Intuitive Reading. Finally, it makes me very happy to be able to watch some of your newest videos lately. I AM most thankful my schedule has been such lately that I can do that. And your videos remain as wonderful as usual. Thank you so much for all you do and all you give and all you share. May Gaia forever provide you and yours with Joy, Riches and Success.
@The Hermit's Cave, I love how I usually have a comment BEFORE your videos begin (smile). One of my favorite Magickal authors is D. J. Conway. It is because of her that I learned of that brilliant artist, Lisa Hunt. Ms. Conway wrote many books, among them was "By Oak, Ash & Thorn: Modern Celtic Shamanism." I was always drawn to that book. Seeing your video about the "Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot Deck," created by Stephanie Burrows, illustrated by Adam Oehlers is not at all a coincidence.
When I saw this Kickstarter and that the pentacles were hares I thought of you Simon! I got my deck about a week ago and I can't keep my hands off it. I love the illustrations so much! My favorite is the moon card, that squirrel is so stinkin' cute. I can't wait to see the upcoming Woodland Dragons deck Stephanie and Adam are working on. The card stock and the letterpressing on the box are gorgeous. My only complaint is the tuck box, I loathe tuck boxes. But that's okay because I bought a Jess Rollar bag specifically for this deck.
@The Hermit's Cave, another pause of the video. I always knew that the main difference between crows and ravens is their wing-span. However, with the cards, there might be another way. After visiting the Audubon Society's Website, I read the following: You probably know that ravens are larger, the size of a Red-tailed Hawk. Ravens often travel in pairs, while crows are seen in larger groups. Also, watch the bird’s tail as it flies overhead. The crow’s tail feathers are basically the same length, so when the bird spreads its tail, it opens like a fan. Ravens, however, have longer middle feathers in their tails, so their tail appears wedge-shaped when open. In the meantime, the "Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot Deck" is GORGEOUS! It is not my usual Tarot Deck, as many of the ones that draw me almost always have dark, rich, jewel tones, and I keep looking at the artwork, and it looks to be watercolors. Of course, I have another tab open for the Three Trees Tarot Website, so I shall read Mr. Oehlers's bio to see there is mention of the medium he used for this deck. And yes, this is already on my "Must buy" list!
Oh wow this speaks to my whole being, from my inner child to my crane self in the future 😍 Unfortunately it’s out of stock.. well I guess I can’t afford it these days anyway.. thanks for sharing! And a very nice table/vibe you got there!
Shame on you! I was again inspired to buy another deck you have reviewed! This is a treasure! I too love the Badger Forest tarot. BTW, I took some fine sandpaper and sanded all the edges of that deck cause I found them sort of rough. Now it's nice and smooth. Warm regards, Anne
I adore my deck! It was the first kickstarter campaine I’ve ever backed. The small card seem to be different for every parcel. So now Im looking up reviews just to see What card everybody else got😁
@@the_hermits_cave at first I didnt either, until I opened my own deck and had just watched a review the day before, where she had the wheel of fortune - But mine was the the Queen of swords. I’d like to think it desribes my decks personality or the potential of our collaberation, But I have yet to find out. It’s first in line for my blue moon reading.
Have not watched to the end of this video yet but hope you all know about the great little white book pdf you can get from the creator for free. LWB talks about the art choices for each card as well as the meanings. Link to the guide is in one of the Kickstarter updates.
Okay, I live in an apartment building. About 250 apts. The delivery drivers usually plop the packages down and run without knocking. So I was annoyed 😠 and took a pice of paper, used a sharpie and said, Dear Delivery drivers, I'm here, please kindly knock on the door, so I can quickly get the packages. Thank you. Sincerely, V. Warkentin. It works like a charm. They usually knock now. More times than not.
Oh no.. I will have to pass on seeing this. I pre ordered and will have to wait about another 1-2 weeks for it’s arrival in the US. Though I may take a peek. 😉
Ugh! I JUST found out about this deck a few days ago but it says out of stock on the website. :( Any idea if it will be restocked at any point? Thanks for this walkthrough video! All of your walkthrough videos are wonderful! :)
The chariot; my money is on a Magpie. Its certainly in the corvid family (crows n rooks and given the crow is the animal in the suits its likely to be a magpie). Doves and pigeons have short legs big chests (thing big boobs) and short beaks. The crow family have thick sturdy beaks. Not being huffy, just my 'helping' gene. Magpies are the only black n white birds in the corvid family. With the exception of albinos or mixed parentage options.
