It's actually become common in other countries for example India. Also the way they said it I doubt they're talking about 1000 years probably their grandparents were Persian....

Dear Leila: Ferdowsi was a Ghaznavid contemporary poet. Iranian after the arab invasion was doomed to choose between become moslem, paying heavy taxes and death. They chose to live but become moslem. Persian language was banned for 200 years and speaking persian could result in grave punishment. They had to choose arabic names and their publication had to be in Arabic as well. So being moslem was not by choice but obligation. Ferdowsi name being arabic should be explained in this context! All the scientists and poets had arabic names including Razi or Khayyam who were atheists. I should also mention that in Ferdowsi time Iranian were all Sunnis, not Shia! Shiasm came extensively to Iran after safavid daynasty!

Just like anywhere else Islam went to. these guys were living at the time were majority were 'muslims', but you cant just count them all as muslims. In shahnameh ferdowsi uses mostly persian words in his poems to keep Parsi alive which he did. Of course Awesta existed thousands years before any of these other religions were born.

For example for the las almost 14 centuries, wine which was part of the original sofreh has been dropped by all except the original followers who usually set the sofreh with both 7 S’s and the original 7 Sh’s.This celebration is much older than three thousand years ago!

The religion is so old that Cyrus the great referred to it as an ancient religion and carbon dating done in England proves a history of about 6 thousand years old. Since we can hardly prove every single thing that old and all beliefs and rituals tend to change with time, best sources we have do not support what you are saying. You do realize every country has its own share of bad people? No nation is entirely good. There are always some bad apples among them, so maybe you shouldn’t lump good people of Iran with bad ones, think they’re all bad. Also, by Persians I guess you’re referring to Iranians. Iranians are not just Persians. Persians (I’m one) are just one of Iranian ethnicities. It seems you don’t know that.

    Hello, 🐦
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ(His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, He grew up and died on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Jesus Christ sincerely to be God's child John 1:12. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on HIS name." That is great news! Will you sincerely receive Holy, Lord Jesus into your life today?

This is a Zoroastrian holy day! Not Muslim. Navroze is pre Islamic. This is the Zoroastrian Persian New Year.

I think you need to "shut up". An Iranian who voluntarily puts a piece of raggedy trash on her hair brings indeed shame to any real & sane Iranian.
Fuck you and your dirty Ayatollah. Arabparast

Your holly book in there ,is not the Persian's holly book, it is Arab's book. We do not have that in ours haft seen and you are supposed to show Persian New Year not Arab followers. it would be better a Persian Person demonstrate our Nowruz customs. I mean true Persian. you are pretending that all Iranians will have that book which is not as you well know. I am ashamed to have it even in my house.

Would you kindly take off your hair covering that brings down the Persian woman.
A woman doesn’t need to be covered to keep the man’s eye in a safe place. The man is responsible for that.
