- Another wonderful celtic harp piece, composed by the blind irish harp player Turlough O'Carolan. His unique melodic style has a very renaissance-like feel to me! So I hid a little bit of renaissance music within this arrangement. Do you recognize it?
Beautiful! 🎶😍
Thank you!
I want this live. Very beautiful
Thanks :)
Very nice arrangement! Thank you! Yes I found "the renaissance like part" from this music! It was in your tab book "Klassische Musik mit der Ukulele 2"! (though I can not play well yet...) .Indeed they fit so well, interesting. 🙂
Thank you! Very nice, you found it out!
I was moved to tears by this tune. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you too :)
This tune has a special place in my heart for its use in the game Fate.
Beautiful adaptation on Ukulele dear Wilfried with these beautiful harmonics so pure. Well done.
Musically
Phil
Thank you, Phil!
Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm with us all
Thank you too! I'm really happy that I finally managed to get the sound I was searching for (for years!) :)
Beautiful. I don't recall seeing you using harmonics before. That was the icing on the cake.
Thanks. However I've been using harmonics regularly. Not in every piece, but still in quite a few :)
Beautiful! Thank you for the blessing.
Thank you too :)
Wonderful. Thank you for posting!
Thanks, Roland!
Fantastic as always Wilfried - and yes, I recognise Kronungshymn beautifully and seamlessly woven into your arrangement! Very crafty blending renaissance and Celtic styles. Must learn this one!
Thank you. However I didn't think of the Krönungshymne! Interesting to read that you hear it in this playing!
Actually I meant I think the hidden tune is “Se l’aura spira tuttia vessoza” - I selected and typed the wrong title from my MP3 player !
@@rogerbradbury3998 Ok, I see! Yes, you're right, this is the hidden tune! Cheers! :)
This is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! :)
wow,super schön gespielt Wilfried!!
Vielen Dank, Jan!
A wonderful piece which you play superbly *
Thank you, Helena!
1:46 to 2:08 a borrowing from Respighi's borrowings?
It's the beginning of an old renaissance song, "Se l'aura spira tutta vezzosa".
Very enjoyable Wilfried.
Thanks, David! :)
This is so wonderful! You put la folia in there as a Renaissance reference.
My daughter is learning to play the uke--any chance you have the tab?
Thank you. I'm sorry, I didnt tab this one yet. I will, eventually.
In the meantime, maybe your daughter would be interested checking out some of my free e-books, and my free solo ukulele crash course?
@@wwelti Definitely. Thank you so much, we will check it out! She's doing stuff like Sound of Silence which is nice but she wants to expand her repertoire a bit!
Sehr schön Wilfried :)
Vielen Dank! :)
Nice one
Thanks!
What a beautiful song! How do you do the harmonics?
Thanks! These are artificial harmonics, I stop the strings with the index finger (exactly in the middle of the oscillating section) and pluck with the ring finger.
Welch' Melodie!
Danke :)
Wunderschön! Stellst du eine Tablatur zu Verfügung?
Danke.
