      @@christianasimon_schilling Yes! ENTJ’s use Introverted Feeling too! And more than the stereotypes suggest!

    • @Shiri_Yam
      @Shiri_Yam 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Introverted feeling is the fourth cognitive function for an ENTJ. ENTJs have this function in their function stack so they do it every once in a while, but as I understand it they tend to suppress that side of them, because it contradicts their dominant function which is extraverted thinking. This is why Adele sometimes suppresses her emotions for the sake of getting things done. (Extraverted thinking which is so important to her)
      By the way I'm an INFP, so for me it's the other way around. My dominant function is introverted feeling and my inferior function is extraverted thinking, the opposite of that. Which is why I tend to suppress a side of myself that is able to get things done logically, for the sake of feeling my authentic emotions deeply and following my values.

      Yes! I’m so grateful she is the example people are seeing, too, because there’s often that negative stereotype of ENTJs but Adele is pretty loved by people.

      @@christianasimon_schilling Being an ENFP with a close ENTJ friend, she has definitely surprised me with the complexity of her emotional world and shattered the stereotypes and assumptions I had about ENTJs. They don't seem emotionless at all to me, in fact I'd argue they have more than I do at certain times. Having Fi myself, when I see other people expressing their emotion with the intense, visceral presence that I identify with so much with it compels me to heavily empathize with them and I have a very strong urge to hug them 😂
      This is especially true for the xxTJ types that typically don't show their emotional side until you gain their trust, and when they reveal it I kinda see them like a small animal that I need to squeeze 😂
      So instead of viewing ENTJs as intimidating and emotionless, I actually see you guys as tiny little kittens. Do what you will with that information 😂

      Yeah, I know it but somehow I still don't get it and I'm a high Fe user myself (INFJ). Let's not judge others and ourselves too harshly and let's not let others influence negatively how we feel about ourselves.

      Scared ofc as infp to deal with the Te dom user like EXTJ. But I would say some ENTJ secretly understand me as INFP and not disregard my voice. Rather helping me bcs INFP inferiority with Te. Being respectful and follow the order. If not able to do it or not know it, just say it. Think of it as a learning in life. Imo this is the same as INTJ. If you ever deal with INTP way of thinking, you can get some ideas on why ENTJ way always about logic. But different than INTP, this ENTJ is more close minded than INTP.

    being an INTJ women, from when I was in elementary school till now Adele has and will be my favorite singer, because of the way she would describe her feelings in a vulnerable yet confident way which is how I would see myself doing! but never in my mind I thought she would be an ENTJ (I gave her an INFJ or ENFJ) but this made soooo much sense to why I feel drawn to her.

    Adele is one of the few people I could relate to as an artist. Her mannerisms, her bursting laughs all of a sudden, her a bit playful side when she feels comfortable with people.She doesn't show this playful side because she wants to impress other people or bring harmony to the group, it's because she enjoys the vibe and the pleasure that the moment gives. (so not fe or fi, it comes from se i guess) I was typed by someone as an entj before and this playful side of mine made me question my type whether it was fe, se or ne but I can clearly see that Adele's enjoying the moment is the thing that resembles with me. This video was wonderful. I have been listening the descriptions of each cognitive function and I was really confused but this video made SE really clear for me. You are a great example of show not tell. You made me clear a lot of things about cognitive functions in my mind. Thank you so much.

It's not her job but she gets it that people might feel bad but she can't do so much for them to change that. This feels really true to me and like someone finally said this. She decides what she does with her body and everyone is equally responsible for theirs. Adapting this attitude can make those that don't feel so confident more confident. Don't look so much at what others think about you, just do your own thing. Live and let live. She's got a very healthy attitude here.

    I've noticed that you like to analyze people who are popular at the moment (understandably). So in case you need further convincing: Given that he's quite well known (at this point) and that season 6 of Peaky Blinders is coming out this year, I think you'd see a reasonably high level of interest in that from other viewers as well.

    I love Adele’s interaction with ENFJ Oprah near the end of the video. Oprah is using her lead Fe to draw out that demon Fi and you can see Adele spend some time in that demon state before snapping out and pointing at her like “I know what you are doing! Stop that!”

    Definitely agree, ENTJ. I was kind of surprised about her being a T (rather than an F), just due to her heartfelt music, which lent me over to my assumptions. I'm pretty sure that Michael Bolton and Josh Groban are feelers though :)

    I feel like "not smiling a lot" could be a British thing. I live in Minnesota and we also don't tend to be overly emotional and smiley. But yeah I think you're right about her type. I'm ESTJ and I don't have a good imagination for the future like she does but I have a good memory.

    11:47 I find this really funny because my ENTJ friend also loves walking through grocery stores 😂
    About a year ago we went to school together in this little building right next to a grocery store, and during our breaks she and I would walk around the store and look for snacks. Even if we didn't plan on buying anything, we'd still walk around for the fun of it 😂

    i'm not well-versed with cognitive functions. I'm not sure about my type but I got ISTJ a lot from tests. It makes sense to me about being ISTJ because I use Te a lot but I'm not 100% convinved. After I watched this video I can relate to Adele. Now I am more confused lol. Great video!

    • @hysteriapatient
      @hysteriapatient 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tests aren't very good but you might also consider ESTJ if you find yourself relating to Adele (an ExTJ) since ESTJs also have great Te and contrary to the stereotypes they can be very funny and fun-loving because of tertiary Extroverted Intuition. But of course ENTJ is a possibility as well ☺️

    Hi Eric, I’m really curious to know how you ruled out INTJ completely. I know stereotypically she does appear more ENTJ, but I am just very curious because I am an INTJ that nobody would type as INTJ. I act A LOT like Adele and actually types her as INTJ after seeing some old interviews of her and especially watching her Oprah interview I felt more convinced that she might be INTJ, so I am just curious how you can tell TeFi vs NiSe because I somewhat see her motivations and action linked to TeFi rather than necessarily being Te dom. I find that INTJ’s can actually be more rigid with their planning while ENTJ’s more open to pivoting. I can definitely see either ENTJ or INTJ for her but am just not completely convinced having been mistyped as ENTJ. Also, her “pulling from the mysterious place” is where I saw more Fi was what she was pulling from with her music that she was not sure where that was coming from. I believe in that clip Oprah has asked her how she writes her music and she explained that the words kind of come to her and she is always surprised how deep people find her music. I also know she always envisioned her future and knew that her dynamic that she had back home was never the life the was meant for her which seems super Ni. I guess I am having the biggest difficulty understanding how you came to the conclusion that her Fi was inferior and not tertiary because I feel a lot of INTJ’s ignore their feelings to a certain extent too and are not aware that they aren’t checking in with their selves either. Again, I think I am coming from a biased stance because I have been professionally typed and know that I am definitely INTJ but my inferior Se looks more like someone with tertiary Se, but nonetheless I think it’s clear that Fi is still higher and I personally see Adele having inferior Se as opposed to inferior Fi as well but it is a tricky one.
