    something I admire about him is that even though he's really really awkward and has lots of awk moments in interviews, he just rolls with it and shakes it off, keeping a positive attitude which is a big part of what makes him magnetic and likable despite his off-beat nature. i'm envious of that because I shut down when I feel awkward. -_-

      I do not think infp are weak at all!! I admire (as an enfp) them so much, their ability to be self-conscious, remaining true to themselves and have an ability to sense the world through an inner, poetic feeling is so strong to me. I believe that the world often misunderstands them.

      Ne users, the xNxP fam are much more likely to have been harassed, abused, and bullied for not being "normal" to sensors. I chatted a bit with the INTP in Frank James' video where he tries to guess people's MBTI, he didn't speak at all during the clip he sent Frank, he just showed his room, and my Fi aux got to tingling, this poor kid doesn't like to speak because he's been bullied for being "weird" to sensors, and I was right. Timmy Tim had the luxury of going to LaGuardia where its ok to be Ne, everyone there said he was a bit off but bullying is actually punished there.

    I am an INFP, and how Timothée acts makes a lot of sense to me. It maybe looks cute but it’s pretty intense from the inside. You can’t stop yourself from being authentic to the point of TMI or coming off weird. We’re chaotic & spontaneous, but extremely self-aware. And because we’re mostly vulnerable, people tend to play us if we want to belong with them. Which sometimes leads to being shut down & quiet. So the conclusion here that being heart-broken & tired can look the same. And also, our people make great friends & lovers as well as artists! You just gotta genuinely care for us & show it to be louder than our self-consciousness & all the people who ignore or mistreat us. P.S. I wonder if it’s great to date your own MBTI type & if there are any online platforms dedicated to that?

      I agree. I’m an INFP and my partner is also an INFP! Although I’m the turbulent type and he’s the assertive. My partners more grounded and positive, whereas I’m quite chaotic and cynical. Im an infp as well and I've never actually seen an interview of his, but this was SO entertaining to watch. He's so great in his roles that I had no idea that he'd be so awkward lol. Its not in a secondhand embarrassment way but its more endearing. A lot of infps seem to be naturally likable and charming no matter how awkward because we're so authentic. But I act as well so it just goes to show how much easier it is to just memorize and rehearse a script than to be thrown into social situations that you can't predict! I really resonate with the idea of being more expressive and social at times and more reserved and quiet at others. It really depends on our mood and if we are interested in the topic at hand or the people involved. Sometimes I completely zone out and other times Im just observing everyone else. its very easy to get lost in our little introverted minds in group settings. Sometimes it gets overwhelming.

    It is difficult to not care about him. I see many aspects of highly intelligent but humble people in him. He also knows himself well and, even at this youthful age, appreciates the strength in establishing harmony where it can be established without wearing on the self. If one wants to know Timothee, watch his acting. Even through roles that are non-characteristic to his person, he still interjects much of himself personally into the character and he goes in very deeply. He is both unique and so very gifted an actor because his need is to share himself.

ENFP are hyper aware of people which can create shyness and awkwardness, but are crazy extroverted the more comfortable they are with a person or group. I’m an INFP too, and I’m autistic, and although I don’t think Timothee is autistic, the ways in which he communicates are very similar to mine: little eye contact, the awkwardness, being always anxious and feeling like he’s doing something wrong socially all the time, rambling and rambling about all sorts of things, not answering questions and rambling about something unrelated instead and then laughing about it at the end even though the person didn’t really understand what he was talking about, missing social cues and getting lost in group conversations, having to explain all the specifics and the details to try and explain his pattern recognition, oversharing, being very passionate about something and getting completely lost talking about it and forgetting about the social aspect of the conversation, having his emotions and feelings about things overwhelm him and change the course of the conversation, the self soothing movements, etc. I don’t think he’s autistic (although he could be, who knows? Many actors and artists are and only find out later in life, like Anthony Hopkins and Tim Burton), it could be just mental illness, ADHD and poor social skills but either way I’m not a professional, I just thought it would be interesting to share the similarities and “quirks” that I noticed

We don’t know and we might never know since it’s his business, but I think it’s cool that so many of us can relate to him in this way

    • @watchingthebees
      @watchingthebees 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@nataliafan14 yes, I can see that too, I also have generalised and social anxiety, but I think the main differing thing is that often, people with social anxiety (without autism) are aware of social cues and procedures, but autistic people don’t really understand the root of the social concepts and this may lead us to become socially anxious, which is often the case (but we’re not always socially anxious, I wasn’t as a young child, I was very outgoing and intrusive, simply because I didn’t understand that there was a social procedure to follow, I didn’t know I was breaking it hahah). But from what I saw with him, it seems like he’s socially anxious because he also doesn’t know much about social rules and he’s always worried about breaking them, which is something I relate a lot. I was only diagnosed at 18 because professionals were treating me for social anxiety, anxiety, depression, etc but didn’t understand the root of these issues for me, which was my autism (and ADHD), does that make sense? I’m not trying to armchair diagnose him or anything, I’m just pointing out what I saw and that he’s very similar to the way I present my autism, but it could definitely be just generalised and social anxiety, either way seeing this video made me relate a lot to him which was nice, I hope it made sense

He’s a very quick thinker and really analyzes stuff in his head and gets shy or rethinks things. And is also not afraid to be himself. And at the very end when he said he was and INFP I got excited because I’m also an INFP. I think if we ever met, we would really get along with eachother.

    I don’t know if you examined some of this in the bonus content, but I think it’s really interesting to see how he changes when he’s interviewed in French. He has said growing up that he felt his French side, spending his summers in Lyon growing up, was separate from the aspiring actor and young professional side of him. This bleeds in when he’s interviewed in French. He’s still a bit awkward, but it comes from him operating in his second language, not so much the pressure of performing as himself.

But if I'm in the spotlight, the pressure is on and people are sort of expecting you to be emotive so I use all my energy up being that person they need me to be. I feel like he's sort of like that. Reserved when others are emotive. Emotive with others expect you do be.

      Thanks so much Jules! With Ne Si there are still connections and an “end point” in timothee’s head he probably could explain if you pushed him. but as you sorta noticed, yes there’s a lot more jumping. Ne is a lot more comfortable pulling in outside of the box ideas and connections so it makes things expand, vs Ni patterns that are a lot more into trying to get things to converge and deepen onto a pattern.

    I felt like you were describing me the whole time, and that makes sense because I am an ENFP. What I love the most about Timothee is his passion, and how he expresses what he's passionate about. And I love that he gets the opportunity in interviews to go in-depth, he low key hi-jacks interviews and I LOVE IT. Because marketing interviews can be so boring and stale, and he takes it left. For example, in Jimmy Fallon's interview, Jimmy's facial expression was just like "Woah! where is this going? but also, go on..." We really are very passionate people, and sometimes it just takes the right questions or just the topic to come up and we could give you a whole book. It's fantastic. & He's fantastic. I'd love to meet him one day.

      Yeah, I feel like he missed the mark on this one. I do everything Timothee does when interacting with people and I feel cringe but also don't care and love being emotive. Tim certainly gives off ENFP vibes. A lot of ENFP's, myself included, although seeming extroverted feel alienated and lonely because of interpersonal relationships never quite hitting that depth they're looking for and can trigger that real time self-reflection he's talking about.

    I am just curious how would a movie with Timothée and Andrew Garfield would go. From what i see, they have the same personality type so i feel like the press tour would be pretty chaotic.

    This is so interesting! I always noticed these things about him but I never knew how to describe it other than "awkward". But this video really made me think about him and his personality again, but in a new way.
