Mel, I am so happy I found your videos online. Ever since I was a little girl I had no idea how to really manage and style my thick coarse curly hair (my hair resembles your sisters almost exactly). My mother and siblings all have super straight hair and I was the oddball. My mother also did not know how to really do my hair. It was always long, tied in a ponytail and braided. I’ve recently ordered the bounce curl brush and ordered your recommended hair creams and products and I must say I am living my best curl life right now. Thank you for all your tips and tricks. I just thank my stars yesterday when i decided i was going to """"trim"""" my curls and take off my dead ends and uneveness (since i dont teust anyone to cut my curls where i live) i ended up taking off like a couple inches and our hair is now the same legnth so you know i came STRAIGHT HERE to find the best way to style it and lo and behold you have shorter curls again and plenty of content on it 😊😊😊😊😊😊 THANK YOU MEL

I got the bounce curl brush on your recommendation and it has made such a difference! My hair is so much more curly and it tends to last longer between washes now. The hair stays separate for longer without tangling up.

I have 2C/3A curls that is soooo long (it hovers right above my crack 😂) and my wash, styling, and drying routine takes almost TWO hours 😭 I’m growing it as long as I can to donate it and I am SO excited to use your bob tutorial to cut my hair when it’s time!!! 😊
Your tips over the years have helped me grow my locks this long. I wash my hair every two weeks *gasp* and on the second week when my hair starts to get oily, I drench it in a mix of coconut/castor oil, detangle, and braid my hair in French braids. I feel this has really helped maintain the health of my hair!

You girls are really darling..so far what’s helped me is your silk night cap idea and Amanda’s upstyles..I use Salon Line SOS products and for me they really work..I try to keep my hair routine simple and beautiful..I also likes the small round brush..I use that in the bathroom while giving my hair a Nova hair mask..thoroughly brushing it through like you do..thank you for all the real useful tips …and laughs😅

It was great to see you both in this video. I would say that my hair is worn curly in the fall, winter and spring and then in the summer it is air-dried with a tiny wave or straight as the humidity makes it fall no matter what it is sealed with. It is also long and as soon as it is pulled up it messes it up as it is wavy.

I recently took a break from curlsmith and tried AG products and wow! I love it. I find the AG works better for my daughters hair versus curlsmith and lets her wavy/curls hair come to life.

Ah id loved to see a travel/packing video as I just got home from flying away on spring break and had to pay an extra 100$ bc I went over the IMPOSSIBLE 40lb limit with my check on luggage probably bc all my “beauty” products and I refuse to buy the travel size of every product. Also how you guys get ready quick on vacation bc I never had time to do my full routines bc vacation was so busy with all the family/kids and I don’t want to waste any time getting ready when I can be enjoying my vacation with my family I don’t get to see much! I love Mel breaking the "rules" again. Dry brushing! I'm a wavy and it just works out better if I brush my hair but people will yell at you over it. 🤣 You must do what works for you. 👍

I detangle twice, weekly right before & after my wash. One, on dry hair, and boy... do I look a mess. Mel, I feel ya, girlfriend. But: no shame in my game. Right? LOL Anyway (and I'm just barely wavy, profile = day 3, so pretty saggy)... I love your hair short. It is easier shorter + more versatile. I came from classic length (which is over the booty) to bra strap, and later even arm pit length. Used the piggie tails to the side cut and guess what? I had instructions much like these in my magazine insert from the 70s (mag called "Libelle"), that my mom still had with all kinds of techniques on how to cut hair the easy way. It had diagrams in the picture-part of the magazine. It's priceless info to have, really! So thankful you put the method out on YT. It's such an easy cut for waves & curls!

@ManesByMell I have an older sister an oi we snip and laugh and get sick of each other, hahah all the things. At one point during Amanda's bangs her face was pure 💯 Annoyed. I thought she might have just walked off camera.
That said, though your chippy technique for.S waves is good, I don't think it suited her. I liked the lift and cowlick, but the side bangs landed right at eye level evenly on both sides making her eyes and forehead look boxed in. It's still cute just not suited for her I think. Damn I just rambled. Haha
