I live up here and the springs are PACKED with people!!! And people don't take their trash out. Some people put their trash in trash bags and leave the trash bags outside of trash bins where critters get to them and all the trash gets scattered about. How hard is it to take their trash bags and dispose of them in their home trash cans? It's really sad to see how people completely destroy what us locals try so hard to preserve.
Used to just 1 tub next to the river and a warm tub just up the hill, you could be there all day and not see anyone else. I would go down several times a week, it was so peaceful then, now it is overrun
Over the last 50 years I have driven and/or ridden my motorcycles over 178 a hundred times, but have never stopped at the hot springs. Drove it just a week ago on my way back from Laughlin, NV.
thanks for the temperature report; 104 F. is about right for me. In BC Canada we like going up in the winter to really hot, wild springs. The temp. will be the same year around. 3 a.m. and 200 candles one labour day weekend, with 200 people at Meager Creek. Unfortunately, the entire Meager Mtn. fell across the Meagre River near Whistler, closing the springs forever, unless you have a mule pack train.

Yes but that river is dangerous, even to great swimmers, stay out of the Kern and stay alive. Trust me I have been on many rescues along the Kern River, she is very unforgiving
Clean ever since the 90's ? I was there just last week. I like to relax there working on roads is hard work and everyone is asleep. Great place to chill out when everyone is asleep and I am used to being awake ! Not sure how clean it is kept ? I only go once or twice a week to two weeks apart but every time I am so relaxed my muscles feel weak and when time comes ? Lets just say I stock it with trout. Brown trout. I switch pools of course but ? It is a great place enjoy.
the road is super windy and isolated. I wish you would've shown your exact walking trail, there were more than one. Lots of "day" campers. We went on 7-25-18.
Makes me want to head back to Kern County I used to work at Miracle Hot Springs when it was officially open to the public we used to have a total of 7 large tubs and then there was a bunch of BS and the forest service closed them down I've got a video in my older videos called the real story of Miracle hot springs or something like that and if you're not offended by a couple curse words I explain it all there
Dont get to excited, after this vlog it got so busy with drugies and people that did not clean themselfs prior to entry that the forest service blew them up. They arent there anymore. Thanks to this clown that reported on it, then left town for a another job.
This is a nudist location and always has been and is completely allowed by forestry as long as you are not lewd. If you cover if someone complains it's not an issue...if you do wear a suit it should be undyed cotton like underwear. The dyes ruin the water...this is what it was intended for so do not be offended if you see nude people here. If you want a family environment go to miracle hot springs. This is an adult location. Thank you. Also keep your trash out of here. I'm tired of picking it up. For real, people see this beauty and leave crap. I'm surprised nobody has vandalized it yet. Give it time, we let them in now let's watch the destruction it causes
