I was struggling making a decision on which streamer to buy. This is just my personal decision, but after I compared Innuos(both MKii and Statement), Linn(selekt), Antipodes(k50), Cambridge Audio, Cocktail Audio(edge NQ), Hifirose and Aurender, I ended up with Aurender N20. I have Chord DAVE as DAC. Detailed sound, rich sound, I use Roon on my second setup, but I just prefer Aurender's conductor app and its interface(i didnt like it first but their UI it grows on you. Love the fact that the played files, you can play them even you lose internet connection. Roon gives more meta data but i had experienced roon with sound quality deterioration when the software was not installed properly. Well done both of you. Hard to find a streamer that equals or outperforms CD player. Not to mention the convenience that co.es with it.
I came back to visit this again, ever a thirst for hearing about Aurender. And Kat just got more and more comfortable doing these, which I presume gained her attention to be recruited by SME. Thank you Kevin helping to have her Star shine ever brightly. Hope there's been much credit sent your way♥️🎶
My experience with Aurender support has been very positive. Unlike some other manufacturers I have done business with, Aurender support is, without any exaggeration, world class.
So clean and robust, well-designed and laid out, so cleanly assembled! It's a pleasure to even look at these marvels! Just look "under their hoods," good people! Excellent, exquisite pieces of audio! You instantly realize that a piece of gear crafted this well can not sound even one bit less than extraordinary.
Thanks a lot Kat, now you have me rethinking my Innuos Zenith mkIII - Qutest combo with all your recent Aurender talk😆🤣Great informative video as always. The rooftop party comment has me rolling 🤣
Has anyone connected a N20 to any McIntosh component with a DAC? If so, have you noticed any delays in audio playback when using AES/EBU, COAX, or Optical? Also, with a USB connection, any issues between the N20 and a McIntosh MCD12000?
I’m not knocking audiophiles or anything as I do consider myself one very much so. I’m also not saying that gear doesn’t matter because it does. But seriously at some point you get to a level where things are not audible anymore. I’ve not used an Aurender and I know I’m going to hear the usual comments after what I’m about to say….but let’s get fucking real here folks. I use a Mac mini to stream. Sounds phenomenal. The dac and files are what truly matter when playing back digital. Sorry but not sorry. The $350 I spent on my Mac mini is going to perform just as well as this very very expensive streamer. Say what you want, no way anyone is convincing me that spending that kind of money a streamer somehow is sending files to the dac better than a little Mac mini lol. Also, if one wants to argue that it’s just to eliminate a computer experience, I use Audirvāna and it’s app to control with my app. Never once using a mouse or keyboard or even a monitor for the Mac. No computer feel there. Audirvāna plays every file type with no compression. You use the same streaming services as all these other players do. I’ve bought many products from Upscale so I’m not knocking them either. My last purchase was the Pathos phonostage and it’s outstanding. Just my two cents.
@Kat O oh I’ve been on the channel for years now. Educational and detailed videos. Not knocking your evaluation of this streamer either btw, just in my mind, it’s way too much money to send files to a dac lol. 🤷♂️. The Pathos phonostage and Dynavector 20x2-L cart I bought from you guys is killing it btw. Great combo of you’ve guys haven’t tried that one before at the store. I know from the previous videos you guys like to play 😀
I haven't heard the N100. I see a few on eBay that have been there awhile. Suncoast Audio likes it, but they sell it. I personally like it, and it was the one of 2 models in my budget. if you have an N100 idk if spending the extra money is going to get you a whole lot more. You could demo it alongside your N100 preferably on your system, but my dealer had to order it. THE N200 has the latest intel processor, 2x ethernet isolation port, linear power supply, user-installable storage (2 bays), improved USB output card, coax output and a better display that shows album artwork.
Does Aurender have phone support? Or is their customer service like Qobuz, routed to kids in the Philippines who don't really know much, or like HiFi Rose, where you have to post questions on their site (which Rose may or may not respond to)?
what software OS are they using? this is a problem with a lots of these machines, they are using outdated software it is a vulnerability and do they supply patches or it can be patch by the os?
Yup, and the A30 is 18k that one I heard at my dealer many times and has astreamer, preamp, ripper, and DAC. W20 is 22k that one has an internal battery power supply N30SA is 24k and has a totally seperate power supply in its own separate enclosure.
Lol. “ on the computer all day at work “ yet they state this is a computer … well I’d guess if I was coding I’d want to play vinyl or cd. To escape the digital screen completely… bad choice of words….

We are so proud of Kat!

OMG, that's Ari! (I'm an old customer)
Lol I loved the Gotham City and roof top parties analogy 🎆🎉
is it just me? i didnt catch the diff between the A and the N
A includes a DAC, N is just streamer
@@jctai100 , oh my. that was easy..... _thanks_
Ovens and crystals sounds like a drug deal going on here first ever comment she is 😆 ❤️😂
Nope, you're not the only one. Never was made clear. They should have talked about each one separately.
@@morrisonAV *thank you.* they even said they were going to 'splain the difference.
thankfully @jctai100above provided the answer.
How great is Kat? Any thought on what a nice upgrade from my n100 would be without dropping 12k? Do people seem to like the n200? Worth the upgrade?

Big jump you will find if you upgrade to N10
"Over controlled crystal oscillator... Sounds like a drug deal" Ha 3 !
Cat is so funny but understated
Damn it Jesse! Our Crystal is blue and it's better. Now, let's cook.

I believe they use a Linux based software, they have a DAC compatibility on their website.
I'm sure it's great gear. But $12k and $14k are out of range for me. Guess I'll stick with my Node 2i
N20 = 12,000
