I think Alex killed Maggie and Paul Maggie was lured to Moselle and either brought Paul as protection or asked Paul to meet her there. Why Paul was killed is a mystery. Maybe Alex thought hwy could make it look like a suicide-murder. I also think cousin Eddie (Curtis Smith) was lured to the side of the road by Alex where Alex planned to kill him. Maybe cousin Eddie was blackmailing Alex or Alex wanted to keep him quiet about the drugs. But I don’t buy the assisted suicide excuse for a second. Buster seems like a real piece of work as well. Listening to his phone calls with Alex in jail shows him to be a spoiled and entitled young man who doesn’t seem to care too much that his mother and brother were murdered by his dad. Buster seemed more concerned about partying on New Year’s Even than about getting back into law school. There’s been a lot of talk about Paul being a troubled young man who caused his parents a lot of problems. After listening to Buster and Alex’s recorded phone calls from prison’ I think Buster may have been just as big a problem.
Alex killed Paul because he was sick to death of him. If it wasn't for the boat accident caused by Paul, Alex could have continued his thievery for years to come. The boat accident brought everything out in the open. Alex shot Paul. Maggie came running and Alex shot her too. All he had to do was sit back and collect the life insurance.
Once upon a time Alex fell in love with Maggie & they had 2 healthy sons. I believe Alex got a gambling addiction & Maggie didnt want to be in 2nd so she wanted a divorce not bullets. Fairytale turned into Dynasty=DALLAS=MURDOUGHS. Love gone wrong. God Bless Buster & lead him to ur light of love🙏💜
The son brought all this to a head with the boat crash. The wife was going through a divorce with it included digging into finance issues. She knew something did stink. Alex brought her to the fish camp for a reason. The killings brought it all out. The fake attack didn't help Alex. He is just a bad guy, greedy and willing to do anything for himself. These are terrible crimes and although I've seen many fathers annihilate their own children and spouses... It was just particularly shocking this time and I still don't know exactly why but I'm stunned..I think it might just be that I perceive the Murdaugh family as close knit watching out for each other and so it's particularly hard to fathom the seemingly emotionless manner in which Mr Alex Murdaugh committed these atrocious crimes. Idk for sure what it is but I do know it's a tragedy regardless
