hindsight from 2024 here, new Star Destroyer has 200 more pieces and is the smallest out of the 3 playscale ISDs. Sure it looks nice but it's at a whopping 160$ compared to the 100$ and the 120$ of 2006 and 2014 respectively
Yeah it's safe to say that 75055 is a huge upgrade. Correctly sized bridge tower and accurate looking turbolasers Though Lego has been much more generous with 6211 when it comes to minifigures
It might be nostalgia but ill always prefer the 2006 one, it might be less accurate but it feels more „lego“ to me The imperial guards present are inaccurate to the movies but a nice addition to have them defend Vader against anyone trying to invade the ship
When I was younger, I had TWO copies of the 2006 version! I felt so awesome having TWO STAR DESTROYERS in my room. Unfortunately due to drama and to keep a personal story short, all my legos at the time got thrown away into the dumpster.

But, after a long hiatus I'm back to collecting, and I have a new mass of legos that would made younger me happy. I have the Imperial Light Cruiser and new Star Destroyer set was JUST announced so it'll be nice to have those together eventually!
i hope they make another one again but it has 4 navy crewman stormtroopers and navy troopers and an admiral piett general veers and vader, ik it sounds unrealistic but its nice
Nice! I have the 6211 still from when I was a kid, wish theyd do another one of these playset size ones. Especially now that the 2nd Gen UCS is retired. Id like to replace my 6211 one day with a more modern star destroyer set.
I want a 2006 one so bad I remember my uncle getting it that year and I was so damn jealous but no one wanted to get me Legos because I was 6. He did come over and build it with me which was fun
