Mr.Kaiser gets the spirit of golf doesn’t he, a true servant to the game. Beautiful insight into a man I knew very little about until watching this and then doing research. Would love to meet him in person. Top work
Wow, this one one of the most captivating interviews I've ever watched! Salute to Erick for holding his own during the interview. Mr Keisser is certainly an intimidating figure but pretty awesome at the same time.
The conversation is absolutely incredible. I would also like to thank the video team/person because that depth of field mixed with what seemed to be completely natural lighting added exactly the right feel for this conversation. Keep up the good work.
most would’ve put music underneath this entire thing. but there’s a lot of respect and reverence in the silence between question and answer, answer and question. some real magic in this conversation.
EAL...my guy! Long overdue longform interview with Mr. Keiser...glad you were the one to do it. As a resident of Oregon, I am so thankful he found Bandon and had the vision to build Bandon Dunes. Great stuff Erik...thank you
Well done!! What a great watch!! I live literally 10 mins from Bandon Dunes. I give so much thanks to Mr. Keiser and owe him single handedly for this game that I love. If it wouldn't have been for him amd what he built here, I dont know that I would be playing this game today. I have met Michael a number of times and he is just the kindest, gracious and down to earth personable person I have had the pleasure of meeting. Nice job Eric and one of these days we will be meeting up to get a quick Shorty's round at the Bandon Practice Center!!
There are people in this world that have made their stamp on their industry and sometimes you get lucky enough to meet the ones in the world that is also your passion. I have been in rooms and had conversations and even been mentored with these successful individuals. This is one of those great opportunities. Thank you Erik for asking the questions I would hope to be able to ask Mike.
Loved this. Especially the USGA bashing 😉 as a teenager who made his money caddying, big fan of Keiser's advocacy of club caddies. Makes a huge difference to the club, the experience and the individuals on the bag. Top work EAL.
A joyous way to spend an hour. You are such a natural chronicler of the game. Excellent insight and brilliant guests. Thanks man keep up this long format stuff.
It's ok to keep some notes in front of you, Erik. I know you're trying to keep it as natural and free-flowing as possible - which it most certainly is. But I was feeling for you when you were struggling to remember some questions there lol. Maybe just keep a couple of bullet points on a napkin? ;) Love the content as usual & so stoked to do a golf trip to Bandon. Peace.
I don’t mind the process of struggling to remember or going off topic! It makes it more fun. Usually these interviews are not intended to be released in full but I thought it fun to show how it really went down... E
Not sure I would say Erik was intimated, as much as he obviously has tremendous respect for Mr. Keiser and wanted to pull out the best information possible from him (pressure on himself to not F-it up. lol) . Enjoyed the "random wanderings" when Erik would lose his train of thought for a moment. Exceptionally honest and direct answer's from Mr Keiser made the VLOG incredibly interesting. Erik and his team's skills are on full display here as they capture a moment in time. Wonderful way to spend an hour.
This was hard work to listen to from someone who is easily distracted these days but def worth the time even if i wont remember it lol are you going to release the footage of the round with him also?
Wow! Great interview! Mike is too humble to touch upon the community he saved in the process, and, yes Eric was a wee intimidated, but this was far superior to a shor by shot video and incredibly informative Pacific Gales? He literally said Holy Shit! It must be another amazing Oregon (Go Ducks) property!
So great for an average hack to see what golf genius sounds like. And that it's fine to play scramble and one club silly games out there at his courses.
Shout out to the loop!!! Got to play it this summer for the first time, loved the concept and course was in amazing shape. Got to cross off pebble as part of my honeymoon, bandon is next on the bucket list
Fantastic interview. EAL I know your moving to Texas so if you want to come to Dallas and play let me know. I also have a place in east texas so if you want to play Pine Dunes and some others give me a shout.
Never seen erik so intimidated. Kaiser KNOWS golf. he needs his own show. I could listen to his knowledge all day.
Kaiser loves himself some Kaiser, his attempts at being humble are funny.
Working at bandon dunes for over 2 years now and have lived in bandon all my life. Very beautiful place.
American golf owes visionaries like Mr. Keiser (who gets what the game is truly about and how it should be played) a huge debt of gratitude.
Thank You Mr kaiser. Im a Caddy at Cabot in Inverness Nova Scotia and had the Honour of Caddying for Mike Jr . Great Interview
Such a great interview. I could listen to Mike talk all day.

Two of my favorite people in the golf world!!! Keep up the great work RGC you are amazing!!!!❤️
Thanks Greyson!
Linksy, playability, walking, caddies, good pace of place. That to me is dream golf.
Amen.

NLU is featuring bandon right now too!! we are getting all the info about Bandon
A joyous way to spend an hour. You are such a natural chronicler of the game. Excellent insight and brilliant guests. Thanks man keep up this long format stuff.
Absolutely one of the best Interviews I have seen. EAL you are superb.

@@RandomGolfClubFilms It was a very enlightening conversation. A real treat for golf fans.
This Keiser fellow should really check out Pine Valley sometime. I think he'd really dig it.
this might be the funniest comment i've ever read online
Two fantastic golf minds talking golf and life, AWESOME!! Great interview!! Not only great golf minds, but good people with terrific personalities!
Very entertaining and insightful interview with Mr. Keiser. Definitely pay a visit to the Nebraska Sand Hills region, well worth the journey.
Driving to Bandon to play three rounds over New Year's weekend (will be my second visit). Great interview here, thanks...ratchets up the anticipation.

No notes either while doing the interview 😮
Thank you Mike Keiser!!!Bandon Dunes truly wakes your soul up!!!🏌️♂️❤️
Thank you Mr. Keiser for taking the risk and creating Bandon Dunes.
Great questions Erik! You really put a lot of thought into this interview.
EAL, that was your best interview to date.
Absolutely awesome interview Erik. Mike seems like a no nonsense guy and you held your own very well
I love this guy. I can’t wait till the day I finally go to Bandon
I look forward to going to Bandon Dunes! What a beautiful resort.
Phenomenal interview. The moving of the cameras was interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Best episode yet imo!!
Simply amazing! Great stuff.

wauw you did it again Erik :-) You always make great content but this has to be in the top 5
His knowledge of golf is unrivalled apart from Crail you don't need to wear long socks there thats Elie, a great listen
Special, very special.. thank you

1:07:34 last question. One more year I’ll be scratch 😂😂😂
This was fantastic
Took his whole flow from the wilderness golf and made the Random Golf Club Kit 😂😂. Genius.
Hopefully Mr Kaiser will concentrate on repairing all the greens at Bandon Dunes. Every course has trash Poa now. Bring back the fine fescue.
Awesome video and interview.
He meant Kirk Cousins, not Kirk Triplett right? What a guy (all of them).
thats what i was thinking.
Shout out to the loop!!! Got to play it this summer for the first time, loved the concept and course was in amazing shape. Got to cross off pebble as part of my honeymoon, bandon is next on the bucket list
there's a certain allure to a remote golf course. and i agree with him very much about no homes on the golf course.
Wow great interview great stuff
Fabulous. I am not someone who says that often,
Excuse my ignorance here, but what is it about sand fields that leads to great links courses?
Dunes and firm fast turf. Sand is easy to work with as well and very natural. Feeling of nature
Thank you, what a gift.
Just saw Erik in Austin. I was headed to ask him for a photo or say hi, but he was vibing with this chick and didn't wanted to kill the flow.
Erik your tone of voice and conversation with Kaiser reminds me of character Chevy Chase played in the movie Candie Shack. Na! Na! Na! Na! Na! Na! Na!
What is a two-man scramble? How is it played?
Fantastic interview. EAL I know your moving to Texas so if you want to come to Dallas and play let me know. I also have a place in east texas so if you want to play Pine Dunes and some others give me a shout.
When they say National, which golf course are they referring to?
National Golf Links of America, neighbors Shinnecock Hills in NY
@@alexroth7493 awesome thank you!
Incredible history
Match play yooo dude is a fing legend
Dude take your hat off, show Mike some respect.
Great interview , hearding cats
Did he mean Kirk Cousins? Or did the Vikings actually have a player named Kirk Triplett who also played golf?
Old MacDonald or bust period...
I have sat down too.
I know it's your Podcast but show the couple holes you played at Bandon dunes on TH-cam man what's going on here?!!!!!!!
Been inspired by RGC for awhile... Just posted my first golf video today, y'all check it out if you're interested.
So uh has anyone gotten on at Cypress from this video???
Wow
So you're telling me if my pro calls cypress point and attests for me, he can get me a tee time?!
SO YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE!?!? **Jim Carey voice**
Keiser is very interesting person and has a great story. This interviewer was bad and was weirdly nonchalant.
Brandon is still crazy expensive tho
Rodriguez Kevin Martinez Richard Walker Sharon

Mike’s unreal. He’s like a savant.
waw Waw Erik first time I have seen you lost for words,
What the fuck or who the fuck is EAL?
He wants match play so he can get 250 a rounds in on a day rather then 200.
