I caught the 216th Sturgeon in modern times in TN. I have a certificate the state sent me. Caught it on Old Hickory Lake about a half mile from where they were raised.
They have been stocking them since 2000. So 24 years old or older if its parents were survivors. One of the small rivers upstream from it is a known natural spawning area.
That was a pleasant surprise of a fish.
What a great catch, we have them out here but never caught one. Enjoy the video Billy thanks
What a great catch.
Totally agree!
Good catch

Awesome!
I have caught about everything that swims in East Tn. I haven't got a sturgeon yet.
When I was a teenager in the 70's we would regularly catch 6-8' sturgeon on the Columbia river.
