Things Dan didn't work out about this game:
- Enemies that fall over aren't necessarily dead
- You drag arrows between bases to make attack orders on the battle plan
- The air horn knocks people over
- Mod support. Sure, he probably knew about it, but he didn't mention it, and he *always* mentions mod support.

he's used the map and this was before bots had names so there was no scoreboard.
OOOHHHH so THAT'S how you use the battle plan!
Just a few tips. Dragging lines from one point to another in the battle plan will create an attack order, while clicking on a point makes them defend it. The function keys(F1 etc) are used for switching seats in vehicles. Some vehicles(more so custom ones than current vanilla ones) have other armament which you can select by pressing number keys. (Vanilla vehicles with different weapons are the two planes right now)
And thanks for playing SteelRaven7's game, he's a singular dev working hard on the game but it'll still take a while until it's completed, at least a few months. There are obvious rough edges in the AI (conga lines, aiming, path finding), and most things (maps, weapons, vehicles) are still subject to change and features like APCs, team specific loadouts, fall damage and parachutes are still unimplemented.
He's currently working on making maps so that the future Conquest mode can actually function, which will be somewhat of a mix of 2005's Star Wars Battlefront 2's Galactic Conquest mode alongside other things, and afterwards he will likely work on smoothing everything else out.
In the meantime you should definitely try out some mods, there are plenty of custom vehicles, weapons and maps on the workshop, and there are a few .dll mods that change some core aspects of the game(Although I don't know if there are any up to date ones, .dll mods were mostly popular before modding support was implemented officially.)

Its a game that works like how developers of large scale games want their game to come across in trailers with everyone working as a team and not the usual uncoordinated madness that happens

I like how the red guys bleed red and the blue guys bleed blue. You can just walk to a battle site, look around, and get a sense of who won and who lost.
The airhorn literally blows massive amounts of people away.
Also I could watch you play this for hours.
Sometimes, I take away all weapons but the airhorn. It's so stupid and fun. Highly recommended for a good laugh.

and the fact that people don't know where everybody is, you can stealth the opponent. They hear footsteps but if you are quiet they won't react because they can't see you.
This game also has a HUGE steam workshop filled with tons of different vehicles, maps, and weapons.

Id like to say the swimming is pretty accurate to what its like to swim in full military gear ether that or you sink

Ohh good, I don't keep up on it but I hope they add some ai a little more like this and maybe some slightly more "fleshed out" levels. Maybe they have by now i'm not really sure.
They’ve made a few show cases of levels and mechanics on their yt channel such as ai commands, ice arrows that freeze enemies, rocket launchers, blocking and parrying and much more

Here's an IMPOSSIBLE Nerdcubed challenge:
Play a video game that has an optional slow mo button/mode... without using that mode. I feel like that would be Dan's greatest challenge ever were he to attempt it.
I've been playing Ravenfield since Beta 3 and my only gripes with it are the amount of unoptimized modded maps (which isn't even Steel Raven's (the Dev) fault) and how the bots seem to have aimbot now. If you played Beta 4 (the last free beta) you'll notice a massive, and I mean a massive difference in the way the bots worked. Before, the bots aimed a bit more like humans: shotting close to you but with about 75% accuracy. Now, they can hit you while you're falling down a mountain while on normal difficulty. They can also spot you fairly easily as well, and don't even get me started on Elite difficulty.
But other than that, Ravenfield is an amazing game and y'all should get it.

Also: Helicopters changed to the point I personally can't control them, even with slow motion and the Vehicle mods are irritating to all hell. I would complain about the respawn being whack, but it's fair to some degree.
However, I praise Steel for keeping the game fresh and cracking so many jokes, especially in the intro animation which changes every new beta that comes out.
I completly agree that the bots seem to have aimbot.
You can change the helicopter controls back to the old ones. I had the same problem for a while as well.

Chris Joberns I actually saw a rabid pubg fan slamming on the Arma 3 version of the mod saying it was a knockoff. some people are retarded not much you can do but not your head.

I remember playing this game when it was free and only had one map. Loved it.
Yellow means you were hit by aoe, and if an enemy rag dolls, they aren't necessarily dead. There is also Tons of workshop support
what makes this game so interesting is the gun mechanic of;
"wherever the barrel is aiming, the round will fire and go in that very direction," unlike most games where it stays perfectly straight and sends them out in a cone shape.
Oh yeah, I get what you mean. I guess it's like the difference between stealth games that give a super wide detection cone to enemy AI and stealth games that give them a thinner cone that swivels and moves with their head. I heard that Shadow of Mordor used the latter, which I thought was pretty neat. An enemy shouldn't be able to see you if he's not actually looking in your direction, right? Same as how a gun shouldn't fire in a different direction than where it's barrel is pointing.
You also have to account for sound. Stealth games take a lot of shortcuts when it comes to detection involving sound. I don't have an ear for most things but I've never had somebody sneak up on me, ever.

I've heard of this game before, it's quite refreshing that it doesn't try to be too graphically realistic.

Btw there are videos on youtube about how to unlock really OP weapons, and all you have to do is go the map its on, pick it up, and you permenantly have it. It stays with you forever.

If you like this game Dan, you should try Running With Rifles. Same concept, different POV
Yeah, Running With Rifles is also pretty fun. A little more difficult to play as it is in an isometric viewpoint, but it focuses more on teamwork and heavy use of radio orders (e.g. calling in mortar strikes).
Running with rifles is practically a RTS.

Well watched 10 minutes, got the game, and then played for 5 hours straight. So game is pretty good i would say. I look forward to seeing if this can replace battlefield 2: Forgotten hope 2 as my game to play while drunk.

Yellow damage markers really just mean "knock damage" (a made up term)
That's how you get knocked out without taking damage.

Hey Dan, just a tip, but to make your guys attack a point, you have to click and drag an arrow from one of your spawns to the attack point in the battle plan page. Also, the revolver takes 2 hits to kill. Please play this again!!

If you're wondering what the air horn does, it's a close range thing that knocks down/stuns enemy soldiers and it can hit huge groups of em easily! It does very little damage and doesn't harm vehicles, however

I used to play for hours against bots in Unreal Tournament. I would download a shitton of different skins and models and I'd just be playing with Homer Simpson and the Alien Queen vs Mr. Burns and Predator :) Good old times.
Seems like an FPS version of Running With Rifles.
The modding community is pretty good for this game, really good mods there if you look properly
Also enemys might ragdoll when you shoot them so dont be too assuming
And another thing, where you shoot is base on where your guns view model is pointed, aka where your barrel is pointed
