Nadal and Rudd playing from the baseline in pairs is hilariously 😂

Massú and González used to do the same and they won the Olympics Gold Medal!

It is primarily a defensive formation in doubles, and most doubles specialists would prefer a both-at-net attacking tennis. You could clearly tell both Nadal and Ruud are awkward in doubles strategy-wise, but they got away with it on the strength of their skills as singles players.

I think he just can’t accept that he is not even near to top 100 level at the moment. He even has to qualify for grand slams. That’s just a big downfall in the age where he should be at his best. But he should keep being professional to his opponents…

As a good player and one with grit, how come nobody straightens out Norries backhand? It'll just take a couple of months to correct it!

If he changes his backhand he will, what, be world number 1? It's been good enough to get him in the top 10, win a Masters, and get to the semis of a grand slam. That's better than 95% of players.

But his backhand catches a lot of players off guard, it wins a surprising amount of points for him...biggest positive is that it is flat (compare that to Ruud's spinny backhand). Having better technique rarely directly correlates with success...there are so many players with better forehand + backhand technique than him but yet they will never rank as high...tennis is a little weird like that, oftentimes it is about just getting the ball back and staying mentally strong.
