Sorry for your loss Cory. I know it is tough and sadly it’s a part of being a pet owner. I know you have said it’s tough being watched by so many people but your videos have saved my fish many times over. She will be missed by so many.
I really appreciate the business shop talk and getting to see behind the scenes. It helps contextualize everything that goes into making products accessible. Thank you for sharing your passion for fish keeping on so many levels!
Happy Happy Birthday!! It's my birthday in a few days also. Don't fret at being 41!!. You're a youngin' still. Wait till you turn 67!! 😮 I would LOVE to be 41 again.
Thanks so much for the transparency around how well you treated your employees with the warehouse move. I've been so curious how that all worked. I always love the business content! Your transparency, genuine care for your employees and customers, and your commitment to a truly sustainable business is a main reason I continue to support the Coop.
Let Steenfott 'toughness' test your light - I still remember his video testing which bags to ship fish in - when he drop kicked the box and tossed it out of his Jeep I almost fell out of my chair laughing😂😂😂 You're right, Cory, that imagery stays with a person. So sorry to hear about Murphy and Ladybird Congratulations on the KY warehouse- as always, wishing you the best success 💕👍
🎈🎂🎈 Happy Birthday. Sorry to hear about Ladybird. I know Katie was very attatched to her also. So sorry guys. Having the new warehouse in Kentucky is FANTASTIC! I lived in London, KY for awhile, beautiful state. A lot of incentives for businesses to locate there. I WISH you could talk Mark into selling you AquaBid. It does need a rehaul and reset. Back in the day, I had a very nice side hustle going on there. Met some fantastic old school home fish hobbyists, learned how to ship fish successfully from them, and made some very good fish keeping friends. The Saturday night auctions were THE place to be, tons of great hobby bred excellent fish available and great socializing with a lot of fun to be had. When I lost my job, moved and down sized I got out of breeding and selling for profit, but still kept an eye out for awesome fish I might want to keep. Now sadly, as you said, so many of the home breeders are gone for one reason or another and AquaBid just isn't the same. Really wish you could buy it and turn back time, sigh...
Sorry to hear about ladybird Excited to place an order and try out the shipping speed form KY. I’m in TN. Hoping it’s much faster! Thanks for always trying to optimize things for your customers.
I have bought plants from all of the major online retailers. The ones that I get from aquarium co-op are the in best condition by far. I wish that you had a more extensive catalog but understand why it doesn't make economic sense.
I got my packaged shipped from Kentucky just over the weekend and was surprised! Much more central, although further from me. Hopefully that will help you guys save on shipping costs!
Hi cory, i just set up a 40 gallon aquarium. Do you have any suggestions? I would like to keep a community tank relatively active but still beginner friendly.
So so informative. I learn so much in all sorts of ways. I just bought shrimps. You look so handsome on your birthday. Thank you very much. I wish you much success. You are so intelligent,so skilled too. Very entertaining and educational also. Bye
I honestly run my lights for about 4 hours after work before I go to bed and my plants do just fine! I just use easy green and that’s it no algae problems
If the Washington warehouse is closing are you going to continue selling in Canada thru April's aquarium? It's my understanding that they drive to the Washington location about once a month.
I tried some eggs from a local wholesaler who supplies a lot of the fish farms here in Florida... West coast/ Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough County area... And they were terrible...!!! It was only $80ish retail per pound, but if 50% hatched, it was a good one...!? But my Aquarium Co-op eggs are absolutely the best...! I get best results using API Aquarium salt in a Ziss hatchery gimmick using Sarasota County tap water(my water is staged&aerated) with Prime as the dechlorinator(we have chloramine)... They soak for 36-42 hours, but probably 50% are hatched in 24 hours...
For green water - take water from your water change and dump it in a 5 gallon tub outside in the sun, just make sure it doesn't get too hot. In two weeks you'll have green water or you can buy it online. I then culture it using the same method the saltwater people use for phytoplankton. There's heaps of videos on youtube for culturing phyto. I put 300ml of green water culture in a 1200ml container and fill the rest with dechlorinated tap water. I add Gillard's F2 fertilizer that comes in part A and part B. You only need 1ml per 1 litre of water. I tend to add 3ml to the 1.2L container as it gives me extra time before harvest. In 4 to 5 days with constant light from an LED shop light and agressive aeration, I get really dark green water. It can last up to a week before harvest. This feeds my daphnia cultures and I use some to start the next culture.
Crazy just last week I saw a video of your puffer. I was thinking man those things seem a bit hard too take care of. Didn’t she just have a video where her one of her tooth chipped off? Insane how she passed already.
Is this the first video you have talked about the new warehouse? What city is it in? I was listening to the video and you started talking about thinking about setting up a new warehouse. I said to the computer you should set up a new warehouse in Kentucky. Two moments later you said you are shipping from Kentucky warehouse now :-)
That's one thing I don't like about this hobby is that you have to wear so many different hats and know everything in that field. You think everything is fine, then this fish gets sick, you have algae bloom. I'm sorry for your loss. 3rd time I know. but it still doesn't get easy. I like watching your vids and here what's happening in the industry around the world. Yes, I follow the heavy metal 🤘😆Shrimp king. love his photograph. Hope you and your fam have a lovely week. Btw that colour shirts looks great on you.
I think it's just stress related. Retail store build, Kentucky warehouse, Lossing Murphy, then losing ladybird. Just need to get through all of this and rest up. Worked a long day in Kentucky on my Birthday. Need to get back into my element where I can fiddle around in the fish room.
Are we thinking that the new clams were the cause of the infection? I know mbu puffers are naturally able to pass the clam shell shards, but the timing is suspicious to me. I'd say that's an important learning if we think that could be the cause
@@AquariumCoop Good, I'm glad they aren't connected. I know videos are filmed in advanced, I just wasn't sure how far in advance. I'm sorry for your loss.
Welcome to KY! I'm super excited that you made the move.
Sorry to hear about ladybird passing. What a fish!

I agree. I find it interesting to get the background on decisions and situations.

Happy Birthday Corey.
I am sorry to hear that Lady Bird is gone
It’s tough.
Thank you for the way you shared her life with us.
Really enjoyed the livestream and thank you for everything the Co-Op does in making my fish keeping hobby Easy!!

I want to see a table tennis tournament where you use your lights as bats.
Now that's an idea! 😄

Use a light as a walking stick. Use it as a fish net pole.
Can confirm Dan's Fish has fantastic customer service :) Every interaction I have had has been awesome.
When will I be able to buy the coop products in the UK
Dunno, every day we get closer, but not sure when the big leap across the pond will happen.

The podcast version of this (from Apple) is cutting off at 55:40.
Please re-upload.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll get my team on it.
All fixed. Thanks for the quick response!
😭 So sorry about Lady Bird! 💔 You are an amazing pet parent. May you have peace of mind and heart. I truly hope people will be kind and supportive.
Seeing bears at the zoo = Fun
Living with bears = ask that one dude how it worked out.😂 definitely a limit to enjoying nature lol
What crabs do you recommend for ten gallon tanks?
I'm not really well versed in crabs. If I was doing crabs, I'd probably do some fiddlers after intriguing out how to build a cool land area for them.
@@AquariumCoopwon’t fiddler crabs escape the tank and run all over our home
Wow. What a big undertaking moving a company across the country. Massive risk. Hope it works for ya!

That's cool you have a place in Lexington now. That's not too far from me. Probably can get orders extra fast now 😂
Should be nearly 24 hour turn around depending on when you order.

For me I t always makes it harder when you don’t know what happened. Sorry for your loss. Our pets simply don’t live long enough.
RIP Ladybird. She will surely be missed by all her fans. Our condolences to Cory and the family.
Happy birthday!
MorphMarket, reptile/amphibian classifieds, has added a fish section.
How did your fish like the BugBites from Keeping Fish Simple?

Essentially yeah. Should be really quick for ya.

Can you put to much sand in a 10 gallon tank
Probably! I’d say anything more than 4-5 inches is probably to much for a 10 gallon tank personally
I know it's unlikely but I kinda want to see an Aquarium Co-op - Lady Pinto Bean crossover with the light.
Or... trebuchet?
Id Lady Pinto Bean is too busy, my border collie would happily stand in.
This cuts out at 55mins on Spotify
I have let our team know so we can fix this, thank you for saying something :)
Could it have been a bad clam or something she ate?
Crazy just last week I saw a video of your puffer. I was thinking man those things seem a bit hard too take care of. Didn’t she just have a video where her one of her tooth chipped off? Insane how she passed already.
There is weeks to months delay between what I film and what gets released. I can see how it looks like that video and her passing were close together.

Start it off by driving over it with an RC Bigfoot truck and then switch to an actual truck
So first hank then murphy then lady bird died. Its rough. Sorry 😞
WHAT!? Ladybird died?
Is it just me or has Cory seemed a bit sad the last few live streams. Hope he feels better and all is well. 🙏
