I appreciate that you have such respect for older fragrances, and former viral fragrances. I see so many fragrance lovers who devour. First they devour a new fragrance because they love it, then they devour it when it’s past its peak (like the BR540 phenomenon). Why can’t we pay respect to those fragrances, even if moving on from them? I just like pretty scents, whether they’re cult favorites, viral trends, or old-faithfuls🎯

Yay, Pure Poison - I so agree with you Veronica! It's gauzy and dense at the same time don't you think? 😊 an absolute stunner, a true love frag for me. I love it more than so many expensive fragrances as it is unique, non sweet and not so 'obvious' as other scents. It's in my top 10 for life! 😊

I love Lancome. Their perfumes are some of the only perfumes that actually have staying power as a scent.. my new favorite of the line is La Vie Est Belle L'extrait De Parfum . Gorgeous Iris, and Woody notes.

Yes, I DID wear the original Carolina Herrera back in the day...along with Poison, Elizabeth Taylor's Passion, Samsara, Giorgio Beverly Hills and Giorgio B.H. Red. I think people could smell me coming from a mile away! Those were the days, haha!

This is a great list! Back when I was a signature scent girl it was Chanel Chance for me all the way. It was my mid-30's through most of my 40's scent. As I started getting more into fragrances it got pushed further back on the shelf but it still gets pulled out from time to time and never fails to make me smile. I need to give some of the Si flankers a shot. The original Si is the only perfume I've ever washed off of myself. Bummed me out because so many people love it.

A few people that came into our store in Dec, had La Vie Est Belle on( I asked) oh my goodness, they all smelled different ,elegant , classy and feminine, just beautiful.🩷Thank you , I’ll make a point now of slowing down and smelling the Belle’s 😘. Hi Veronica! I love Pure Poison and I've repurchased it over and over. It has a distinct quality, and of all the Poisons, it's my favorite.😊 In Albuquerque our Summers and Winters are dry and crisp. Pure Poison has an icy cold jasmine that blooms beautifully in this type of weather. Have a great week!

Armani Code😱 I forgot all about that beauty, and the men's sport edition was fantastic. Pure Poison is a favorite 🥰 on an icy cold day, oh boy, she's a whole mood. Your descriptions are so accurate and helpful. I love the LVeB Inensement bottle. It's beautiful just to look at even if you don't like the fragrance. I have smelled L'interdit on my mother-in-law and when I hug her it's heavenly. Hermes Twilly and the Eau Ginger flanker I really adore. I prefer the plain Alien Goddess but yes any of those are Goddess scents smell wonderful. I am not woman enough for OG Alien. 🤪

I might also have to put in a word for Chanel and though I’m a No 19 girl forever (my wedding fragrance), my brother bought me Chanel Les Eaux Paris Paris which is a beautiful and accessible light and peppery rose which would suit everyone. I love it and I do love Chanel perfumes in general.

I have quite a few of these. From Lancôme, I prefer the Idole line! For mass appeal designer houses, I would think Chanel more than Tom Ford. Not just price but Chanel has many options with their Coco Mademoiselle or Chance/Chance Eau Tendre probably being the most mass appealing.

This was a fantastic list. Yes Burberry is a great designer house. Goddess is delightful but my all time favorite is Burberry Blush which was my signature Wednesday scent. Wednesday I wear Pink and that fragrance just topped off the girly vibes 😊. I have to get my nose on Mon Paris Intense version you mentioned sounds great. Thanks for sharing. 😊

I love these choices. My best friend wears Mon Paris Intensement and I enjoy smelling that one on her. It's really pretty and, like you stated, young and tender. I own a Valentino "Signature Alice" shoulder bag in black but normally their bags are not my style at all.

Oh no! Sorry you're so cold 🥶 This winter weather is really doing a number on some regions! Yes, I finally tried Exit the King. Nice clean and cool feeling fragrance. I don't think it is like Pure Poison which has a stronger floral accord and feels a bit "warmer" than Exit the King.

Agree with those I know! I retried idole intensement tonight, and i can't stop smelling myself, so my reget of 2023 changed! It's a 9ml, so didn't really matter. Im too hard on myself, I sample by notes and get mad when a sample doesn't work.😂❤

Love and own so many of these choices! I, too, wore the OG Carolina Herrera EDP back in the day. Just a couple of sprays would suffice, but I enjoyed it. My favorite is her VIP Gold. I hardly ever hear it mentioned, but it’s a good one, IMO. Thanks for these and the niche suggestions!

❤ Great list. I have the YSL/Mon Paris Intensement beautiful perfume and bottle. I like to try Pure Poison and Good Girl Blush. I love the original Poison. I use to work for Complexion by Russo’s and we sold Lancôme products, this was in 80s. I loved the original Magie Noire. I have the remade version, however it will never smell like the original Magie Noire.

Hey beautiful! Another great video… I think a great easy reach and beginner fragrance from Dior would be Blooming Bouquet or Absolutely Blooming. Question for you, Miss Veronica, do you have any fragrances that you are currently using but once finished, you would not re-purchase, and why?
Yes the Blooming line is easy reach also. 🥰💖 Oh, good question. I would say at least HALF of my collection I would not repurchase but ONLY because I'm always wanting to try new or different ones! So tooooo many to name. But in general, most of my chypre leaning fragrances because I've had enough of that profile for a while.

Beautiful video idea! I needed this a couple years ago when I started my fragrance journey. I only have 2 of the perfumes you mentioned: Donna Born In Roma ( which I blind bought and hardly ever wear due to the potency of the girly girl essence) and Mon Guerlain Intense (which I wear the heck out of due to the confident and calming vibe). I even bought all the Mon Guerlain flankers. Good stuff! I have variations of all the houses you mentioned though except for Carolina Herrera. I've never smelled any of those. Great video! Love your style!

The Bloom of Rose EDP is lovely, but I prefer Florale (which of course has been discontinued I believe). I've never smelled the Bloom of Rose EDT however, and I hear Yana at The Scented loves it.
Any fragrance with Iris in it, as long as it has femininity, I want it lol 💜I have la perla white Iris on right now. I put it on at night after my shower or bath. 😊

Love these videos! I love Interdit Rouge, the og Good Girl (although Blush is great for spring) and TF Fleur de Portofino. I have the hardest time with TF prices when you look at their longevity but Fleur de Portofino will always be a repurchase for me.
L'Interdit Rouge is loved by many. I know some of the TF fragrances have less than stellar longevity, but some linger alllll day!
La Vei est Belle is beautiful. What happened to people having signature scents. I have a lot of perfume bottles of LVEB and I don’t use everyday but I love it!!!

I may be one of a minority but I struggle with designer perfumes. 😬 I find them to be TOO gender leaning and very seldom am WOW'd by the forward leaning notes.
Guerlain though? Now THAT is my jam, despite having lavendar in it. I have yet to find a YSL Libre I enjoy, flankers and all. 😢 Might give Valentino a go - I got overwhelmed with all the dang flankers!

Flanker lineups can definitely be overwhelming to sort through, Lord knows! 🤦♀️ I would say if you're looking for wow factor, and you've tried a bunch of fragrances, going into the private lines of these designer houses may yield you more joy, like the Armani prive line or Dior upscale line. I love designers because of their mass appeal. 💯🥰

@VeronicaSays I haven't smelled it since 2012. I've given up on smelling and testing most designer fragrances. Too many of them fall apart so quickly and turn into a jumbled mess of a skin scent 2 hours after application.. some even sooner. 😠 But.. I do enjoy watching your videos where you talk about designer scents for the last 30 years, you have more knowledge on them than any other TH-camr.
@patr70 I politely disagree! I have beautiful designers that smell fabulous and last a long time. Not all, but that's the case with any category of fragrance.
@@VeronicaSays OK. I remember trying the new D&G "Light Blue" flanker that came out early last summer [in that pretty Italian porcelain bottle]. OMG It didn't even last an hour before it started turning into a cheap smelling skin scent. Creed "Acqua Fiorentina" smells very similar to D&G "Light Blue" but it last 5x as long before turning bad. That's all I am saying.. is the substantial [difference] in quality.
@@patr70I’ve unfortunately not had much luck with Creed,… a flipping hour and a half on my skin😭 after spending the$$$’s. However, is it my skin or is it the parfum ? Some just don’t work on us individually. Everyone adores BDK , on my skin it turns into some fresh hell 😩🤷🏻♀️. I just have to try and wait for dry down b4 I buy . 🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
Hi. How are you? Have you tried the new Nina Ricci Le Perfume? I got a sample when I purchased something and didn't realize it was new. I had smelled LeRouge from years ago and the sample looked very similar that I thought it was the same. I had no interest in that one but tried it funny enough and realized it was different right away.

@@VeronicaSays I do. It says apple as a note, which I read on Fragrantica later. But thankfully it doesn't surface to me because I don't care for that. To me it slightly reminds me of Mugler Angel Elixir, but less intense.
I'm not sure why I just can't even try Tom Ford. I'm over 50 and in my mind, I think Tom Ford is pricing high and hasn't earned the right to price point at that level, because it's in my head that they are still a newer company. I laugh at myself for being so raised eyebrow with Tom. But I can't get past this feeling
Well, the good news is that you don't HAVE to try Tom Ford because there are literally thousands of other fragrances to explore! So it's totally okay. 💯💯💯 BUT... if you happen to be in a department store with them out to test, give a few a try just ot scratch the curiosity itch. 👍👍👍
