I've been on a quest of 6 months (yes 6 months) to search the best sample pad and this Alesis Multistrike was by far the best. Way more sounds right out the box than the Roland SPDSX and a way better feel. I thought Roland would come out with a new sample pad this year but they didn't so... the possibilities with this thing are infinite and really dope. We use it live and it's really sick. We play our click tracks and samples through our in ears but the audience can't hear the clicks (of course) but they do get to hear the samples, just edit your outputs and such things can be done. I really like this sample pad, one of the best things I bought. I hope you have a lot of fun with it!
I love mine, there are so many sounds in it, that I can get lost in with days.Its just perfect. The sound quality is amazing. There are so many kits and sounds that cover everything.
While this is a very impressive and well built unit in many regards, a couple of important features are missing (for me) 1. When loop recording, there is no way to quantize/snap the individual hits of the performance...if you're slightly off you have to re-do the whole thing. 2. When entering loop record mode, you press the record button and get a 4 beat count-in before recording starts. I would much prefer to have it enter record mode with the click(if you want it) but it starts recording only after you hit a pad (similar to Roland SPDS) 3. Samples do not sync to tempo (as in Ableton live) This would be an awesome feature if you could import sample loops and have them automatically adjust to the current clock tempo. 4. Can't sync FX to clock. This would be great especially to sync delay times to the current BPM. Hopefully firmware update 1.4 Alesis???
5:40 - I would have had to of played that Phil Collins - In the air tonight song, the tune sounded perfect for that famous drum fill hahaha. Stoked to see what you can add on with the that, maybe you will be adding some different genres of music with that now added, may be some trap music? Hmmmmmm?
First I was going to get the Yamaha, but when I stumbled upon the Alesis I never looked back. Yamaha and Roland are so old piece of equipment that it's not worth investing in them, just get the Strike Multipad its the best multi pad on the market right now. I have mine since a year and love it to death.
I've been following some reviews and there are some people who say there's a problem with their start screen, I was totally interested in buying, but I confess that I've already become quite discouraged, I've seen some that even have to open and change the SD card, even others that have reached return it due to a problem with the motherboard, has yours ever had a defect or even something similar, crashes and such? I love my strike multipad. I made a color code system so I can look at the pads and know what’s what Red-snare drak blue- bass drum dark green- backing tracks, yellow -hi hats, orange red- cymbals purple- SFX . It’s great to have your both your e-kit and use with acoustic for a hybrid. You can put up to 5 single zone triggers in your drums and also use a pair of mic 🎙 to catch the sounds of your acoustic kit and run them through the in board EFX

So it’s been a year, What do you think? Are you still using it, what are your pro and cons, would you recommend? I’m looking at picking one up soon.

hello I would like to know what the AUX inputs on the back of the Strike are for!!! I have one and I still don't know how to use these AUX inputs

@@elifelipe5881 I do use the audio input for plugging my drum modules into the SMP for using the master EFX on the drum sounds
On the included kits, can I at least move the pads around if I don't like, for example, the snare pad location?
