Benchmark Full Proof is Poor Mans Stagg and everyone should have a bottle on the shelf IMO. Last night I was all about Woodford Double Oak...my god is this bottle excellent. The first bottle I had was so awful I gave it away..I felt it was a huge risk buying another bottle but boy am I glad I did.

11:37 Belle Meade Reserve sitting on the shelf....grab that trust me! The replacement is sitting next to it and while I have yet to A/B them I have heard others that have and the new Nelson Bros Reserve is not as good. If I ever see a BMR sitting, I am grabbing it! That's a great haul man! Cheers!

My first bottle of bourbon I ever bought intentionally was Michters and I absolutely love their stuff, all the "flagships". Always keeping the small batch bourbon atleast in my bar.

I just saw some Nulu there. I've only had their Amburana store pick but it was fantastic. Sagamore Double Oaked Rye is SPECTACULAR. Green River Wheated is a solid replacement for Weller Special Reserve. Its not as good but I can always find it. I also saw the Dickel Leopold brothers collab. It was $120 when it came out 2 years go but in my area its $50. If you see that for under $60, its a buy.
Awesome. Never had Sagamore DO or Nulu. I will revisit those bottles. Dickel Leopold is a new one also. Have to look that up.

Sagamore Spirits is something you need to add to your collection if you enjoy ryes. Also, recommend making your purchases across 3 tiers, shelters like EW BiB, mid tier like the $50-$75, and $75+. Bardstown origins series if great value and if you find a Disco 11, grab it. fantastic bottle.

All the Bardstown's are very good to fantastic....just way too pricey for a retired guy! The low end Window Jane was also very good, I can only imagine the higher priced ones would be over the top! Lots great buys today Sir!

Glad to see you stopped at the Sagamore Spirit bottles. They're doing great stuff. I grabbed a bottle of their Barrel Select 6 year awhile back. That one customer was on point with that David Nicholson 1843. If you like wheated bourbons, it's a very good pour for an even better price.

@@bourbonlover i’m not sure we can get it here. Mel had a bottle at the Tavern. I asked for at Ridgecrest. They called to tell me they had a bottle but it was gone when I got there. They did have a bottle of the Stranahan’s Original Single Malt. It was good. I have bought another since but it's not as good as the Sherry Cask in my opinion. Stranahan’s is made in Colorado. According to their site there are several places in Nashville that carry it.

Michter's Straight Rye...do NOT sleep on that bottle just because it's 84.8 Proof. It is a lovely, tasty pour and if you don't want anything complex it's perfect but if you are looking to graduate through the night, it's a great palette warmer.
