- I'm gonna be nice and share ONE of my favorite places to pick. The Stuarts Draft Antique Mall. I actually used to have my own vintage booth in this location. I shop for resale here a lot but also for myself and I'm always amazed by all the good treasures I can find. As an antique booth owner myself I really appreciate a good clean antique mall with lovely owners that doesn't just have flea market stuff. I'll show my antique shopping haul at the end. FYI: I FOUND BAGS OF CORK STOPPERS IN A VARIETY OF SIZES FOR
(( $1.29 - $1.49 PER BAG )). EACH BAG HAS 12 STOPPERS. THEY COME IN REALLY HANDY FOR OLD JARS, PIGGY BANKS, AND I HAVE USED THEM IN OTHER RANDOM ITEMS THAT NEEDED A LITTLE SOMTHIN EXTRA. I NOTICED THAT MY OLD BOTTLES SELL MUCH BETTER HAVING A CORK STOPPER THAN WITHOUT ONE. LOVE THE SHOP ALONG VIDEOS. :). SO MUCH FUN!!
I recently ran across your channel❤ and I have watched it nonstop for days 😃 I was watching thrifting TH-cam channels and yours popped up. I’m a huge thrifter, love to decorate love all things old. I’m currently recovering from a back issue 😭it’s been hard for me to get around without pain for several weeks now 😭so watching you go picking and setting up your booth has been extremely therapeutic for me 😂🙌❤️ I have been interested and thinking on opening my own booth so your videos have been a great inspiration to me ❤So even the videos you think are not so interesting to watch, have totally been beneficial encouraging and interesting for me to watch! Since I’m laid up on the couch!! Really really wanting to go to my favorite local thrift store where I always find cheap treasures 😊

What an awesome place. The "hats" are toothpick holders. Usually Fenton. I use mine as a votive. And the glass display case is also a terrarium. Back in the 70'-80s they were big.

The Green glass "pots" originally had wooden lids and held tobacco. You can find them as part of a smoking pipe stand.
They looked like they were missing a lid!
I find them way more often without lids. Rarely do I find the whole pipe stand...
Glad you grabbed the mercury items, love those and the pineapple lamp, just don't stick lamp on your front porch😉

I love this place!! I live in Tennessee and we have family that lives in Richmond. We always make plans to stop here on our way to and from when visiting and I ALWAYS find great treasures!!
My grandmother had that clear lucite wastebasket in her bedroom - just took me back to the early 70's. What a great place. I really like the Mercury glass items you picked up.
Hi Amanda, Hi from NH. I find myself hooked on your videos... Would you consider doing a video where you find a couple of pieces, tell us what you pay for them, and then follow them through to the end sale, telling reasons for the purchase, time in the booth before selling and some such. I am looking for a comparison between selling in VA and in NH...I know that you are busy but it might make an interesting subject for several videos.

The mannequin actually made me laugh, because I've done poses with mannequins in shops and had my wife take pics for a laugh. With one I had the female mannequin look as if it was reaching into my coat pocket to steal money. As my wife took the photo, the vendor for the booth arrived and looked puzzled at first. We described what we were doing, which got a good laugh out of her. "Can I have a turn at that?" she inquired, tugging at the money still peeking from my pocket. She was such a good sport about it.

I love it so so much and I wouldn’t change a thing but I have been trying to play one single video game for over a month now and I have no time 😂. It’s just project after project. I can’t make myself relax because I love my work so much. But I need a bubble bath or something! Every other vintage seller I know is the same way, why are we like this? 😂❤

I’ve actually been to this antique mall, stopped on my way back from Dillwyn Va, I live in the very southwest tip of Virginia so it’s a long way from my home and the town where this is at is adorable! I’d love to go back one day

I never say Lucite because if you don't know if it's actually the brand Lucite, then it's just acrylic. Lucite is a brand of acrylic, but I know it's tempting to say because it sounds so fancy. I thought those upside-down hats were toothpick holders.
The blue hat is the ashtray, but the other two look like toothpick holders.
Florida feedback: teapots aren’t selling well down here either 😢. Unless it’s a super specific design. The only one I’ve moved in a while was white and shaped like an elephant and fit the boho style. I think that’s why it went. The classical designs aren’t moving so I don’t source them anymore either.
ha ha I found a HUGE ( way bigger than those )goofus glass vase with peacock . with all of its paint which was colorful not gold and I sold it for 175.00 on ebay .
