- WARWICK | Full tour from Town to Warwick Castle, a town situated close to Coventry and Birmingham and adjacent to Leamington Spa, a wonderful part of England.
Famous for it's castle (Harry Potter scenes were filmed here) and the university, this is a lovely little peaceful town with lots of tourist attractions and lovely historic buildings.
Come with me as I take a walk through the historic streets of the town from the high street to castle street, take in the sights of St Mary's church and see places like The Lord Leycester and the Market Hall Museum.
Nestled in the heart of England, Warwick is a charming town that seamlessly blends history, culture, and modernity. This picturesque town, located in Warwickshire County, is renowned for its medieval architecture, vibrant community spirit, and lush green landscapes. Warwick's rich history is evident in its well-preserved buildings, cobbled streets, and the imposing Warwick Castle that dominates the skyline.
The focal point of the town is undoubtedly Warwick Castle, a magnificent fortress with roots dating back over a thousand years. The castle stands proudly on the banks of the River Avon, offering visitors a journey through time with its medieval towers, opulent State Rooms, and sprawling grounds. The castle serves as a living testament to the town's storied past, where tales of knights, royalty, and battles unfold at every turn.
Beyond the castle walls, Warwick boasts a quaint town center characterized by its timber-framed buildings and narrow alleys. Market Square is a bustling hub, hosting regular markets and events that showcase the town's vibrant local culture. Visitors can explore independent shops, cozy cafes, and traditional pubs, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and nostalgic.
The town's commitment to preserving its heritage is evident in landmarks such as Lord Leycester Hospital, a historic group of timber-framed buildings that once served as a medieval hospital for old warriors. St. Mary's Church, with its stunning architecture and intricate stained glass windows, adds to the town's cultural tapestry.
Warwick's natural beauty extends beyond its architectural marvels, with the River Avon winding its way through lush parks and gardens. Stroll along the scenic riverside paths or enjoy a leisurely boat ride to appreciate the town's idyllic setting.
In essence, Warwick is a town that captivates visitors with its timeless charm, inviting them to step into a world where history, culture, and natural beauty converge in perfect harmony. Whether exploring the medieval grandeur of Warwick Castle or meandering through the cobblestone streets, one cannot help but be enchanted by the enduring allure of this historic English town.

Just a personal view - I found the music rather intrusive. I would prefer ambient sounds/silence when you have to mute music for copyright reasons.
Thanks for the idea
Never allow jobsworths to stop you filming.
I never do!
Next time you are in Warwick take a walk down Mill street
Not a big fan of the musical background, I like those snatches of private conversations that you snare on your (our) journey. I think those seed pods are from a sweet chestnut tree , I love yours vids god bless you and thanks.
Thank you so much
(the sound went off during this one so I had to use music)
Well done, great video! I'd love to go back to Warwick Castle, haven't been for such a long time and don't think I saw much of the town at all. I prefer to hear just background noise in videos, no music as it's quite distracting, especially with lyrics. Just my own personal preference ;--))
The sound cut off on my camera so I had no choice
@@GimbalWalkTV Understood, but then leave silent if possible. It is strange that historic places don't want people to film or take photos like other countries do. But I do understand individuals reluctance to be monitored by surveillance cameras everywhere they go, to me that's more of an issue.
Is it TH-cam’s copyright algorithm issue or your camera?
Warwick university is actually 9 miles away from Warwick, it's in Coventry.
yo hi stu
I think they are sweet chestnuts from the tree Neil, Love your choice of music. Warwick looks good, have visited the castle several times
Many thanks!
Hello Neil how are you did you have a good Christmas and New year glad to have you back love your vidio best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😅😅
I could be wrong but I've always understood that the reason some places don't allow you to film is becasue they would prefer you buy their postcards, tea towels, souvenier books, and other assorted merchandise.
PS. Digging the music. You have good taste :)
Thank you!
No - there are places in England where the staff will say 'you can't film in here' but if you ask them why they can't answer you (because they just made it up)
It's ridiculous and only in the UK
I was there this morning. I think you've done one of Leamington, haven't you? How about Kenilworth?
Yes have filmed Leamington (although will be back again soon to try and do it better!)
Kenilworth is a great idea thank you - wil do that!
Thank you so much for showing Warwick! My Grandparents (on my dads side) ran the Rose & Crown pub (it’s just behind the Randolph Turpin statue). Dad met my mum (my mum used to work in a greengrocers opposite the pub) got married and had me! And I took my first steps in the pub. Lot of history there for me and my family xxxx
Lovely stuff!
Hope you enjoyed the video I did!
A vary good video of WARWICK ENGLAND | Full tour from Town to Warwick Castle. I also like your choice of music!.👍👍✔✔
Many thanks!
What's the name of the song playing and who sung it please . That would be the first song
when the river is calling ❤️
Great video Neil worked there many years ago forgot how beautiful the town is with all the old buildings hope to get back to visit soon especially to see the castle again and the music was great as well
Didn't know Warwick had that many old buildings, I knew about the castle. Great video and music choice.
Many thanks!
Thank you for doing Warwick. Are there many pubs/ restaurants?
A few yeah!
Not as many as most towns though
It has as many pubs and restaurants as any town (why wouldn’t it?). It’s a very affluent place with a population of around 50k. In the summer head for the main market place square.
Oh ! Good there is no croud , no scooter, motorcycle ,no pollution, very very peaceful ,historical city . Nobody is in hurry. Everything is calm, and cool
Lovely tour of Warwick. Great music choice
Many thanks!
I'm hoping to visit this summer.
I wonder if it was a security issue with the church. To protect their exhibits, treasures etc.
Would they have stopped you filming if you had not asked and just carried on?
Probably not.
Great video!
Thank you. 👍
Thank you!
You'd be amazed at the number of places that stop me filming
Always find it odd
Always it's places in the UK too - I never have a single problem abroad - in fact abroad they ask me to film their places when they see me walking near them!
Lovely video Neal. St Mary's is fantastic but how petty that they wouldn't let you film 📽️. 🙄🤷. The memorials there are wonderful. I've had some great times in Warwick and the horse 🐎 races.
Great video as always. My wife liked the music so I shazamed it and added it to my Apple Music library.
Perfect thank you so much!
Love Warwick Castle. Visited the castle twice, 1994 and 2014. There is so much history attached to a this castle. The inside tour and dungeon tour were very informative. Love it so much we took our granddaughter along on 2014. We stayed with friends in Stourport on Severn and took in all the sites in Warwick, Dudley, Bewdley, Worcester, Broadway, Bath, Great Malvern, Kidderminster, Bourton on the Water, Iron bridge, Black Country Living Museum, Chester and more. Have been fortunate to have been able to visit England four times. Love your videos.
Thank you so much
I've got some of the places you just mentioned on my 'to do' list now!
The music 🫶Oh yeah! I'm like walking on Cloud Nine. OMG please bring me to Warwick 😮😊❤
❤️

Welcome to my old hometown Neil.
Lovely place!
I'/ll go back and film it again
(the sound went off during this one so I had to use music)

Thank you too!
Sweet chestnut husks under the tree. Great video.
Thanks 👍
Warwick is NOT home to the “famous” Warwick university.
Is it not?
@@GimbalWalkTV Warwick University is in Coventry (suburban fringe) several miles away.
14:10 MUTED?! WHY!?!? 💔
(Plays: Tomodachi Life OST - Recouncilation Failure)
Not sure what happened there!
My great grandad is on that war memorial.. lived in warwick my whole life, can't wait to take a nice walk into town tomorrow 😊
Lovely place ❤️
What I like about your channel? You show the subject and do not cut away to your face every 20 second for useless shots. I assume you know what I mean. Warwick is the star and not you
Always!
Great Video and....Music. if I ever go to UK I'll buy you a cup of coffee....but not at McDonalds 😂😂
haha thank you!!
