This crowd is a Middle-class office going family man or a mature college going guy.. who has been a motorcycle enthusiast from a long time now and also may be riding a 100/200 cc bike or a scooter.. owning a bike is this guy's dream.. and may be has also researched about many currently available bike categories in the market.. He has short listed "himalayan" because he wants to own a safe bike with fun, that brings a smile everytime he gives ignition for to&for home.. has enough room for his wife.. owning which is not really heavy on pocket like KTM duke 250/390/adventure.. also that would last long for considering upgrades less frequently.. again unlike KTMs which require engine rebuild in few years due to higher compression ratio.. So summing it up, he wants to own One "All in one" bike (or manageable).. and there my friend , "Himalayan" becomes really affordable to buy.. My answer may be long, may be inaccurate for my claims.. but this is what I can see as I have the same perspective.. Update: a fan.. keep growing.. best wishes..

I am forty years old. I have a Classic 350 and I have ordered a Himalayan. My 9 year old son is damn crazy about the Himalayan. He just forced me to book the Himalayan whereas I was thinking about a Interceptor or KTM 390. I think the Himalayan has some hidden charm, that if anybody comes near it, this bike simply captivates him/ her. I am waiting for mine. Let's see how it turns up. I have used himalayan bs3 in bumper to bumper traffic... Apart from heating it's a charm. That machine is built to be withstand some degree of aggressive use.

For city commute in bumper to bumper traffic, 150/200 cc motor cycles are the best choice. Unicorn/apache rtr4v/pulser are excellent choices. In my office, I see many 350 cc classics and thunderbirds parked. Also I see Himalayan. It’s individual choice. Yes, the engine is a 411 cc aluminium engine and so it heats up and the heat will be definitely felt on the legs. But the heat will quickly dissipate. I am waiting for my Himalayan and I am going to use it both for city commute and long rides.i will come out with my observation after using it for some time. Good review.

yeah! you are absolutely correct.i also dont like using himalayan in traffic. one thing in traffic i face is constant downshift due to long gear ratio, lot of downshifts plus in traffic it heats, the temperature also rose to 53 on mine before 1st service, now its fine but still it heats till 50 if used in traffic. and the harder gear shifts when it heats. clunky gears and constant gearshifts plus little heavy on traffic [b2b] this is my opnion too,hope you also fin this on your bike too

And hell yeah it does heat up after a bumper to bumper 5-10kms ride but maneuvering it around is no trouble at all and the passive gear shifts actually indirectly helps if you know how to throw open the throttle properly.

I think there is no such thing as a daily commuter bike bro, I used to ride a Ducati diavel everyday to commute in Hyderabad's traffic almost 25-30 kms every single day, and I did that for almost one year and I never felt uncomfortable...and ya by the way the diavel wasn't mine, it was one of my friends bike who had gone abroad for work and he left the bike with me....
@@SpilTrez I am one of the humans who cares about his bike too, but just because a bike is made to be an ADV or Cruiser or Cafe racer, doesn't mean it can't be used for daily commute...it's never the bike's problem, it's always "US" humans who have a problem with riding bikes in traffic, because its inherent human nature to do things that are easy and don't require much effort, so that's why we try to find ways to blame the bike for our discomfort....I ain't saying that every bike should be ridden everyday in traffic, all I'm saying is that it can be done....and who know maybe your viewers might have to travel just for 5-10 kms per day, but after seeing your video they might think that the himalayan is not good for me, because I don't do offroading everyday and this might lead them to not buy the motorcycle...just saying bro, no offence to you...👍👍👍 Keep the rubber to the road...🙂🙂

Iam a Christ University fresher, i will be commuting daily but within 7-9kms(one way) from my accommodation and iam planning on buying Himalayan because I wanna go on rides often.
Simply saying, you guys know about your local area traffic, so consider according to that. Peak traffic condition will affect your bikes engine (wont happen within months) but after a long run those who are interested in himalayan, you should consider it like a offroading caaaar ( not a mini hatchback ) bcos we wont take a caaaar for under 10 kms city commuting during peak traffic. Obviously milage get reduced and other issues

I think there is no such thing as a daily commuter bike bro, I used to ride a Ducati diavel everyday to commute in Hyderabad's traffic almost 25-30 kms every single day, and I did that for almost one year and I never felt uncomfortable...and ya by the way the diavel wasn't mine, it was one of my friends bike who had gone abroad for work and he left the bike with me....
Yess, I'm not saying that you cannot do it. It's harmful for the bike in the long run. I'm one of the humans who care for my bike
@@SpilTrez I am one of the humans who cares about his bike too, but just because a bike is made to be an ADV or Cruiser or Cafe racer, doesn't mean it can't be used for daily commute...it's never the bike's problem, it's always "US" humans who have a problem with riding bikes in traffic, because its inherent human nature to do things that are easy and don't require much effort, so that's why we try to find ways to blame the bike for our discomfort....I ain't saying that every bike should be ridden everyday in traffic, all I'm saying is that it can be done....and who know maybe your viewers might have to travel just for 5-10 kms per day, but after seeing your video they might think that the himalayan is not good for me, because I don't do offroading everyday and this might lead them to not buy the motorcycle...just saying bro, no offence to you...👍👍👍 Keep the rubber to the road...🙂🙂

If you want mostly daily commuter and sometimes touring...then dominar if you don't have a pillion..and if pillion is there go for classic 350

Thank you for letting know that himalyan is not so good for daily commute to office in traffic.
Simply saying, you guys know about your local area traffic, so consider according to that. Peak traffic condition will affect your bikes engine (wont happen within months) but after a long run
those who are interested in himalayan, you should consider it like a offroading caaaar ( not a mini hatchback ) bcos we wont take a caaaar for under 10 kms city commuting during peak traffic. Obviously milage get reduced and other issues
