This is why Antony might make a surprise comeback as left wingback. It is also why Amad will be key, and academy players will get lots of gametime. Rashford will have to up his game if he is to have a future here.
I have said all along that Antony should get more chanses and could end up being the missing link when it comes to wingers. I agree Sam. Buy-in is absolutely everything. A manager could play 1990s style put-em-under-prrssure, and if the players believer in it, they could be successful

Yes, Erik did try to change but as time progressed the shirt killed him, to put in simple words. He tried to keep it simple & relied on players that can keep them safe & sound. If he had FDJ in that summer maybe things would have changed but that's past now.
I wasn't going to comment but: Intensity of Amorim is HIGH PRESSURE to get the ball like there's no tomorrow, not only to defend well but specially to get the ball fast. Anyway, that was on sporting, the Premier League its much harder comparing to the portuguese league, specially because of the financial problems on the portuguese clubs, thats why our best players and managers dont stay more then 2, 3 years. I think United's problem its not only the managers, i think the REACTION to the lose of the ball is bad. If the United players dont run with ruben amorim, then they will not run with nobody. Im a Benfica Fan till i die but i love football and its a shame to see such a great team with such history play so bad for many years. But United fans can relax because Manchester United will play football for real. In case of things go wrong on the begining, just give him some time and things will change. I believe you got you're new Alex Ferguson👊
*I posted here after watching all Sporting games* We need more players who can up the intensity with quick short burst throughout games, at least 6 and we only have 3 (Mount, Bruno, Ugarte). Tier 2.Hojlund, York, Martinez, Mainoo and Amad. There is no 3rd tier, however the academy have at least 8 such players.
@@Koutsimouka he definitely will do is a ruthless manager don't get on the wrong side of amorim there's players that down tools won't know what's hit them with amorim being here
Simply put, all players have to be fully focused always, thinking of where the ball may drop and being there and not just want to be intense as an attacker when attacking but when defending as well, and fitness has to be much better than what it is right now.

Seriously. "Buy in" is great at the beginning. And then watch as the time goes by. The club doesn't need new manager, just new facial and voice reconstruction every 24 months
Many day professional football players play for themselves and their millions they make..their team comes second..this is demonstrated by many players of my club Man United…I want to see a difference.
Every team needs 100% buy in. Nothing new or revealing tbh. What Amorim needs, Ten Hag also needed it, OGS also needed it, Mourinho also needed it, and it goes on.
Intensity - Players who are gonna claw back for the ball if they loose the possession and not just be walking in the garden if they don't have the ball. Not getting my hopes up for ruben, unless we see a concrete two years.
Key is how our NEW recruitment process gets rid of and bring players who’s can keep tracking. TH didn’t have the right profile of recruitment from previous regime
Difference now is players who are found wanting will get sold. This is a continuation of what Ten Hag started and it is a beautiful thing as this is not a complete reset.
Best example i can think of is Liverpool games under Erne...it isnt like Klopp intense with endless pressing and chassing "Every Ball" as desribed here but it is still "Intense" as they think through plays and pick their moments... Also considering the number of games per season, Pronnes to injuries and Squad depth,Fitness levels and Ability for this "intenseness" You dont want a side that always starts season well but bottles it end season due to injuries and players burn-out... Will soon see how he impliments his brand of intensity-and get over this phase where were just speculating on the what ifs..
these players need to bring intensity that they were bringing when they were playing in old Trafford in 2022/23 season but it needs to be home and away with consistently it lies to them sticking with the manager and giving their all
I think the reason our new manager mentioned intensity is because he was signaling that he wants some players sold. He'll want players who are committed to the team instead of themselves. Unfortunately, it may mean the likes of Rashford and Shaw may have to be sold.
If we notice that this group of players lacks intensity, quality, and commitment to giving 100%, the board need to take decisive action, similar to what Chelsea did. If Ruben was able to achieve results with Sporting players but is struggling with the current United squad, then 90% of these players should leave. That’s the reality.
I am gonna be completely honest here, I will be happy just to see serious hard work from the lads all the way through a game. Hopefully not see their heads go down and shirl responsibility. I am optimistic but we have been burnt many times over the last decade. Most of the issues have come from the players if we are being honest. Mourinho was absolutely right with what he said about the players before he was fired.
Amorim clearly wants his players to play with aggression with passion with high energy that will fight for every ball play without fear & to express themselves. He'll want us to dominate games be on the front foot be relentless. I expect to see Amorim bringing more youth through into the 1st team. Unless certain players adapt to Amorim's demands I can't see them having a future here tbh
Players never bought into ten hag, struggled to cope with ole when he trained too difficult... Ruben problem is the players-some of them are there for the payacket. It's down to innoes to sort it out for amrium
It’s a bit scary that United might not have a single “intense” player. Maybe Hojlund, amad, Mainoo, de ligt, yoro (tbd). Garnacho and Fernandes run around a lot but don’t want to get stuck in really, Martinez gets stuck in but is slow. More players clearly don’t fit the description than do.
Sam we’ve been hearing this game model for a while now since INEOS took over. What is it? Why isn’t it being put on paper? Why are we changing players when a new manager comes in? It’s expensive to build a squad. INEOS should be telling Ruben what system they want and getting players suited to that system. I don’t want to hear new buzz words with each managerial appointment. Gegenpressing, inverted full backs, 3-4-3 system. When I hear these new words with each appointment it convinces me we aren’t where we need to be as a football club. There’s much work to be done….
In Ten Hag's system The Striker was...for lack of better term...a secondary character. A support for the "main characters" that was the inverted wingers. But in Amorim's system the players will look to play through the Centre Forward/Striker. Hojlund will improve and get many many more chances if Amorim's system becomes complete. He has to improve his hold up play a bit more but thats inevitable once he gets support close to him to pick up his bounce touches
I think you could make a compilation of the wingers not seeing(or choosing not to) give the final pass, or when they too its a terrible final pass to the striker. Im not if that is skill or a secundary thought. You have to use the wingers, because clubs with good defence wont keep the middle of the pitch free, unless its in a counter
@nuribayram6740 of course our wingers first hought is to shoot but the secondary character part comes to light when Hojlund is asked to hold the ball up and play the pass to the wingers and also with Hojlund dropping deep to allow our wingers to run..the reason why Bruno never looks to play the pass for Hojlund. The system gave Hojlund no space at all
The only player that has actually played the system Amorim plays is Mount, he played it (and wss very successful) under tuchel. Before i saw Amorims interview i knew he would need multifunctional players and in his interview he says players will be asked fo play a few positions, we dont have many players for it. I think the winners of the system could be Mount, Amad, Bruno, Ugarte, (maybe mainoo but hes not very mobile), the biggest losers will be rashford, Zirkzee, eriksen, (maybe garnacho as he has legs but poor decision making, but hes young and can be coached) Its not just buying into his idea that provides intensity but also body conditioning, it doesnt matter how much you want to do something, if your body cant do it-it won't do it.
Looks like we wont be seeing a lot of Casemiro & Eriksen in the starting XI this season. We might be seeing Ugarte - Bruno as the midfield pair if Mainoo is still not 100% fit
If these players down tools again they will be out the door and play in the under 21s till they are sold under amorim he won't stand for it put it like that is that type of manager ruthless
Once upon a time Rashford would chase after lost cause. I remember him closing down on the goalkeeper and if I'm not mistaken, even got a goal from it. Sadly he couldn't be arsed these days. In the end, it's all about attitude and work ethics. Like they say a genius is 1% inspiration and 99% sweat.
Oh he is still chasing alright. Chasing money that is 😂 He just needs to be moved on. His wages and output compared to salah, saka, son mitoma, kulusevski, gordon, etc etc etc just shock me.

We can't have intensity in games if he works them too hard, like ETH did, in training.
Seriously. "Buy in" is great at the beginning. And then watch as the time goes by. The club doesn't need new manager, just new facial and voice reconstruction every 24 months
If the board doesn’t give him these players we can’t blame him
He will get players as there is ineos not glazers
Ineos need to back him in selling deadwood players like Trashford, Antony, Casemiro, Eriksen, Mount, Maguire, Shaw, 💯
I think hes gonna promote at least 3 academy players
@@adamgordon2572 we should keep maguire and maybe casemiro
I saw that intensity performance against spurs at home in ten hag first season
That's something these players have been lacking. Great video Sam
Many day professional football players play for themselves and their millions they make..their team comes second..this is demonstrated by many players of my club Man United…I want to see a difference.
Intensity !! Intensity !! the thing most of our players lack massively😢
Every team needs 100% buy in. Nothing new or revealing tbh. What Amorim needs, Ten Hag also needed it, OGS also needed it, Mourinho also needed it, and it goes on.
OGS play style was also heavily disrupted by Ronald's return too, not just that ETH..
Intensity = Wayne Rooney, Park Ji Sung, Ander Herrera, Paul Scholes, Vidic, and Lisando etc. Aggression, desire, and hunger to win.
True but I'm glad he got rid of most of the dead woods and laid a solid foundation for us moving forward
Difference now is players who are found wanting will get sold. This is a continuation of what Ten Hag started and it is a beautiful thing as this is not a complete reset.
Means players who deliever everything on the pitch, for the team/club/fans, at ALL time
Keep up the good work ❤
To be intense in the way to approach the games and throughout games. Also pressing the opponent teams
Brooo I want this guy to be analysis every game again
As a united fan.. i ve waiting for first game like its champions league final.. actually i can't wait for first match.. this is longest 2 weeks..
Didn't hear buy-in crap with sir alex..all of a sudden players have a choice...wtf.
Best example i can think of is Liverpool games under Erne...it isnt like Klopp intense with endless pressing and chassing "Every Ball" as desribed here but it is still "Intense" as they think through plays and pick their moments...
Also considering the number of games per season, Pronnes to injuries and Squad depth,Fitness levels and Ability for this "intenseness"
You dont want a side that always starts season well but bottles it end season due to injuries and players burn-out...
Will soon see how he impliments his brand of intensity-and get over this phase where were just speculating on the what ifs..
The Antony comeback at Left Wing Back is going to hit crazy.
these players need to bring intensity that they were bringing when they were playing in old Trafford in 2022/23 season but it needs to be home and away with consistently it lies to them sticking with the manager and giving their all
"INTENSITY" simply put aggression off and on the ball.😌👌
Intensity is all about being fast, aggressive and playing with urgency. The only player at United who understands that is Amad.
I think the reason our new manager mentioned intensity is because he was signaling that he wants some players sold. He'll want players who are committed to the team instead of themselves. Unfortunately, it may mean the likes of Rashford and Shaw may have to be sold.
Thankfully Berbatov is not playing anymore otherwise he'd be the first out of the door ! 😂
Intensity: Players who obey the coach on and off the pitch. A throwback to the days of SAF.
If we notice that this group of players lacks intensity, quality, and commitment to giving 100%, the board need to take decisive action, similar to what Chelsea did. If Ruben was able to achieve results with Sporting players but is struggling with the current United squad, then 90% of these players should leave. That’s the reality.
Excited 🎉
This coaching change is a great opportunity for the young turks in the academy. Step up young men; THIS is your opportunity of a lifetime !!!
It's strange you still did not talk on Amorim interview
He means players that are hungry and demanding and most of all hard working
The system gave Hojlund no space at all
I don't know how Zirkzee will bring intensity to his game. I hope he surprises us all.
Intensity meaning quality, force strength and energy
Left inside forward: Bruno, Rashford, Garnacho, Mount
Right inside forward:Amad, Antony, Mantato
Sam u a the best ever bro
Intensity for Amorim could mean runners from minute one to the final whistle.
Looks like we wont be seeing a lot of Casemiro & Eriksen in the starting XI this season.
We might be seeing Ugarte - Bruno as the midfield pair if Mainoo is still not 100% fit
I just pray he is successful with his pattern
If these players down tools again they will be out the door and play in the under 21s till they are sold under amorim he won't stand for it put it like that is that type of manager ruthless
Once upon a time Rashford would chase after lost cause. I remember him closing down on the goalkeeper and if I'm not mistaken, even got a goal from it. Sadly he couldn't be arsed these days. In the end, it's all about attitude and work ethics. Like they say a genius is 1% inspiration and 99% sweat.
Oh he is still chasing alright. Chasing money that is 😂
He just needs to be moved on. His wages and output compared to salah, saka, son mitoma, kulusevski, gordon, etc etc etc just shock me.
@@manishmohite2393 Unfortunately Rashford is like a barnacle that's stuck to the club. No other club can afford his wages.
We need players who can deal w pressure. Simple as that
