The game that you're no doubt thinking of, and what Sea was also no doubt thinking of, doesn't deserve all the hype it gets. it's a bland RPG with what looks to be really easy fights, and not immersive at all.

It would actually make sense for Fire to be effective against Poison, since toxins are usually made out of proteins, which get destroyed with enough heat.
Thats why a high fever can be dangerous, since it can also damage your own proteins.

Plot Armor was my favorite character of this run
As soon as One-Winged Angel kicked in, I knew something was dying in that rival battle. And as soon as something died right before the Elite Four, I knew Sea was going to "enter" Cerulean Cave and "find" a second Master Ball to get Mewtwo early. This video was so fun and chaotic and I loved it, awesome work.
The rival not being "Intendo" was a shame
I recently saw a shiny psyduck, panicked and used a master ball. Worth it.
This should be a new series
I'd love to see him do a Sinnoh playthrough like this where he does the tweaking glitch to get Shaymin and use it as his "grass starter" in place of Turtwig. Just go full chaos incarnate.

You should do a nuzlocke of only short pokemon. Only pokemon under a certain height can be used and evolutions cannot be stopped, if they get taller then they need to be boxed and go catch others

I’d imagine extra levels has something to do with it compared to the original games.
To be fair, if you do it mid main-campaign, is it really postgame? Better to leave it till... postgame.

@@AtrumDelorox But you need to visit the Sevii Islands in order to unlock the National Dex that unlocks all the post-game features. Might as well get it over with and visit the first three islands with Bill after the seventh gym so that your post-game visit to the Sevii Islands doesn't include the storyline that should have already been done and taking a stop back to Pallet Town just to obtain the National Dex to start on the second part of the Sevii Islands campaign.

I think playing on Set mode might’ve been the way to go given that now Nintendo doesn’t seem to like Set Mode as it has been removed from Scarlet and Violet

Ill have you know, i loved the sevii islands. I thought they were such a nice addition, especially in the postgame
I spent most of my time back then just going all around those islands, exploring every little corner, doing absolutely everything I could. It has such amazing adventure vacation vibes and an aura of mystery with the patterns in Pattern Bush and in the Unown ruins, as a kid I was always wondering what it all meant and what was the meaning and purpose behind the Altering Cave, there had to be more to it than just an empty cave with Zubats.

Actually, Gyarados is good for Misty - if you teach it an electric move, like Thunderbolt, or tbph a dark type move, like Bite or Crunch (cuz Starmie)
You could have done the gym battles really out of order like skipping lt surge to go do pokedoll on the marowack ghost and go straight to koga or given the guards a drink from the vending machine to get to saffron and get Lapras brock misty and geovani are the only gyms that need to be fought in their actual order with the exception of needing to beat koga to surf to cinnabar island for blane. You can get into all the other gyms without following their order of progression. Doing gyms in order just seems like how they intended you to play

Before anyone deletes a save file to start a new FRLG run w/Non-Kanto Pokémon, you can’t. Need to complete the Sevii island quest before being able to trade with RSE
I thought beating the game NOT the way developers intended was about like sequence-breaks, loopholes and cheesed challenges that aren't technically bug/glitch exploitations, making super extensive use out of optional elements, etc.
Step 1: Boot up an emulator
Step 2: You did it!
Step 3: Hire a really good lawyer
That was certainly a different way to do a vid,I love it and hope to see more like this in the future. Especially when you don't like a section and just clip through walls or whatever's in the way!😂

I thought you needed to do the ruby and sapphire quest in the sevii Islands to trade with the Hoenn games.
With one of the event passes you can travel on a ship through the link cable to Ruby version from Pallet Town, but only at 14:30 on the second Thursday of a month.
