No ready to fly Goblin helis. All of them are kit builds I’m afraid. What size rtf heli are you looking for? I may be able to suggest some.

the manual says use grease for the one way, you used oil, which is better/correct?

    • @NickWisdomRC
      @NickWisdomRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That's an interesting question, and if you ask 8 Heli guys you may get 6 different answers. The important thing is to lubricate it. Don't use any old grease as that can gum up the one way. SAB's one way bearing grease is ok for that use. Personally I prefer tri-flow. So technically speaking both are correct and it's personal preference. Thanks for watching.

Have you used Orange thread lock in the past? I have had good success using it.

I have not. I’ll look into it. Thanks.

Hello my friend, I want to know the balancing piece that supports the plastic piece, is it in online sales and what is its name?

Not sure I know what you mean? Can you reference the time in the video I mention it?

So you mounted the front tail pulley with 3 shims just because there were 3 in manual and didn't even check if there's play there?

I checked, but not everything makes the video. : )

@@NickWisdomRC ahh ok. I had to ad extra shims from 'shims' bag both in raw 700 and 580.

Let me ask u a Q? do u ever use green loctite on your builds?

  • @jordandotan

    Thanks for that video,
On 3:30 you mention that the manual calls for CA glue for the pushrod assembly.
Then you show your preffered method that uses Epoxy.
I won't get into details here but please,
Don't use epoxy for that application.
Epoxy is not meant for situations like these and the adhesion is prone to failure.
Stick to CA as the manual requests.
As an engineer in the aviation industry and a specialist in composite materials and structures, I suggest you to stick to the manual.
Don't underestimate CA glue. In some cases it's way way better than Epoxy.
    Cheers

We’ll have to agree to disagree. I much prefer epoxy over CA for this purpose. I should add I have seen CA glue fail when used for this purpose. I have not seen epoxy fail in this type of application.

Sab advices CA, Mikado advices Epoxy. Both work, buy with CA the bushings become loose sometimes.

@@arekkazmierowski9657 and that’s not a risk I’m prepared to take. We all make choices during a build. I’ll always choose epoxy for tail pushrods. But we are all different.

@@NickWisdomRC I got bushings loose in the Kraken and no problem with this, they are an 'extra' security. But sure, I'm using epoxy since then.

And...I guess the kit manufacture is wrong? To each is own but if this was a problem wouldn't SAB have addressed this by now?

What is it about American videos where they always say "I am going to go ahead and do X"? Can't find a single video where this is not said every 2 minutes.
