- Time to time we visit fictional scenarios set in the apocalyptical world. The story begins on the West coast of America, where a bunch of Marines got assigned to defend the bridge evacuation point. Meanwhile, a convoy arrives from the mission but it seemed to attract a few unpleasant guests. Soon they realize, few turned into a full horde of undead. Mainly lightly geared Marines with a little exception, manage to hold the line but ammo is running low and the breakthrough is inevitable. So they call in air support, not just to support them but to destroy the gate to hell to minimize infection from spearing. This is their epic last stand and seconds to get out before the time runs out.

True meaning of the Red Horde...
They should set a defence position AFTER the gates, instead of BEFORE them. And put their Phalanx cannon right in front of the entry, and at the ground level, so bullets will pierce multiple targets. Then they had a chance.
To say more - i doubt, that such army squad, which purpose is DEFENCE will run out of ammo so quickly. I think, in the real life, they will have a few spare crates of ammo. Also - the strangest thing - they have this monstrous naval auto-cannon Phalanx, but they do not have regular infantry machineguns. (btw - This Phalanx cannon could easily tear this bridge apart, and most likely, would do so, with all the shots, it made).
The last thing, i wanna say - it's that dealing with zombies requires completely different tactics, than dealing with human enemy.
So - it would be nice to see a "Anti-zombie tactics" in action someday!

It’s possible that the Phalanx was there way before the zombies even arrived at San Francisco.

That’s a Phalanx 20mm Rotary Gatling Gun CIWS Platform. It’s job is to destroy oncoming Mortar rounds, Artillery shells, Missiles, Low Flying Aircrafts, Birds, UFOs, Batman and Superman through a literal storm of bullet. It’s fire rate is meant to liter the sky with bullets making a wall. Virtually hitting any incoming projectile/object. Though I never heard of it being pointed on a human being. (Since doing so might question the United Nations Human Rights Council)
