I have read almost every biography there is on this lady. She has inspired my life in soooo many ways. I can confirm, without doubt, that the couple listed in this documentary as her mother and father are indeed not her mother and father!!!!
I understand your frustration, but you have to know that all high ranking politicians have to make unbelievably difficult decisions everyday. You can't be 100% truthful with the citizens because they have to maintain some level of control, because if people really knew all of the things that go on behind the scenes, they would freak out and there would be panic and chaos in the streets. I wouldn't want to be a politician because you have to be disingenuous by default at times.
Let's just say that the oil scenario is correct. Ok, in the early 90's, Saddam invaded Kuwait to gain access to the Persian Gulf for his country's own self-interest. Once again, Hussein isn't a saint, so let's not forget about his transgressions. I hate to break it to you, but pretty much all governments do things for self-interested reasons. My point is, don't make it seem as though Rice is worse than most other high ranking political officials around the world. They all kind of suck!
