“ That’s the end of the speaking test “
It’s the best thing you will ever hear in the exam day
Yeah u are right.✊
It’s really true 😂
Actually, my speaking was going well and it was pleasant, so I hoped I could talk for longer XD
🤣
It can be the worst as well. It depends on your grade I guess
I speak on a similar level when I'm talking to myself at home, but when I'm with somebody a become an A1 speaker
Yeah exactly same I get very nervous when I'm speaking to a stranger or examiners like this one
We are too damn conscious while speaking with others, that what we are speaking and how we are speaking
@@acewager309 definitely yes, as soon as I can realise that there's nothing terrible and scarry in communication on other languages, I will have spoken better
yep, same issue here, both with english and german :'(
anyway, it's ok, after a bit you don't really care that much and forget it (and start speaking well)
Me 2 lol
He uses pretty simple words but clearly deliveres all the messages, impressive
that's how natives communicate. They don't use big and complicated words, nor do they use some fancy grammar.
@@faramiomir Yeah, I took the speaking test and used many fancy words and idioms. I just got 7.5. Just don't understand why, I spoke fluently and with no hesitation. My pronounciation also is clear.
@@lzh00 maybe your accent lol
@@AngelliaX I don't think so because it's american accent, I'm thinking of grammar maybe because I didn't use complex grammar structures, I mean I absolutely could but I didn't deliberately try to do that
@@lzh00 Fancy words or idioms aren't even required, there must've been a major flaw in some aspect of your speaking if you got a 7.5 despite the aforementioned :D
This guy can easily express his ideas.... Thats his strength

his english is ass for band 9
So true 😂😂😂 after every sentence there is “and yeah”
It's a German habit I suppose 😂

ask a German about car and ask a French about bread, they surely can make a whole essay about it lol
And an Italian about pasta
Hahahah absolutely
Lmao
Hahahahahah
ask a vietnamese about Ho Chi Minh they can talk about him a whole day :))
Less is more ! The "academic" part is not about how many complicated/uncommon phrases or words you know, it's about how much you can naturally blend in and effortlessly deliver your messages in the English native culture.
This is the art of simplifying ! Say whatever you want in the comment section but this guy absolutely nailed it ! Band 9 well deserved !
@Pui Yan FOK me too bruh
@Pui Yan FOK no way you spoke like that and got 5.5
Good job. Now define "naturally" and "effortlessly" within the rubric please.

Who is this guy??? He made it look so easy. I'm so tensed about my exams that are in 4 days and he is making me feel things that don't even exist.
ALL THE BEST 👍
All the best
Did you take your exam?
All the best girl better tell me your scores I know you'd do well👏🛐
Ohhh good luck
It's really the language of speaking in native English speaking countries. He didn't use many idioms or complex phrases or words like other English learners who attend Ielts test. I like the way he speaks. It's very natural.
yeah, simple but you can fully grasp what he is saying. Not much complex words/idioms, he was just merely expressing his ideas and I love how he delivered it well. Great job!
And that's why his lexical resource is 8.0
😂@@playmarret
he’s natural when speaking and he knows what he’s gonna say
Are u army
he deserves 9, he is speaking fast and fluently without any pauses
He uses "and yeah" too much.
@@lautaroescarlon7501 So what?
@@zugemitferasito To me that counts as a form of pause. All i'm saying
@@lautaroescarlon7501 true and a more strict examiner might have given him an 8.5 because of that. He still did a pretty good job though. Even some native speakers have the habit of over using a particular word or phrase.

His vocab was simple but his intonation and fluency were spot on
guys don't say that it's easy, I know and have experienced the pressure during exams and truly respect this guy for being patient and well-practised.
and actually "WHY" AT 3:41 is hilarious and such a meme.
Omg l love how he reacts to the question quite instantly, such a natural reaction
His advantages were, one: he never stopped , two: he was fast. 😍
I don't think speaking fast can be an advantage. In some cases, it may indicate that you're nervous. I think it'd be best to concentrate in modulating the words so the other person can easily understand what you're saying.
Three: handosme
four: he's a law student
Now it makes sense he looks relax all the time and an expert in explaining every thing
he did it well and fast even nervous then
i can’t even speak that fluently or constantly in my own language…😱 kudos to him
Complete truth ....for a great majority of people it is the same story
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can relate. In my native language I can write thoroughly (my thesis supervisor even praised my style) but it takes time to determine and structure my thoughts. While speaking, I often stop to think, but the right words don't come to mind that quick, so eventually I say something silly to break the silence and awkwardly continue. I bet I sound like I have 2 brain cells 😅 And in the foreign language this difference between writing and speaking becomes even more noticeable...
Find someone that loves you as much as this guy loves saying "and yeah"
it’s more authentic english to use a ton of filler words like that lol
After watched this i felt more stress🤣 how can i speak fluently like that 🥲 by the way he is so handsome hahaha

He talks so clearly and confidence 👍🏻👍🏻

The candidate used english fluently. He did not pause nor murmur or struggle with finding idea. I believe that's the reason why this candidate got a band 9. Sometimes it's not about using extravagant idioms or words. Fluency matters a lot too. Btw does this candiate have an IG account lol😂
lmao haha, search it up, he mentioned his name! also i think these marks mentioned here are incorrect.. it is a lot about vocabulary idioms usage and some other stuff too

I am surprised that not that many complicated, uncommon words were used. Great video!
I just figured out what my problem would be if i would take this exam. Lack of interest. If the guy would ask me about videogames, movies i would confidently talk about them for an hour. But describing an hotel i know ? Bro, i haven't leave the house for 20 days. I'm an introvert.
But anyways, probs to this dude. He didn't use fancy words or complicated sentences. He's just really good at expressing himself and delivering his thoughts.
Lack of Interest is definitely one of my problems too. Asking me an opinion about something I don't have an opinion on.
I wouldn't know what to say in my own language, much less in English.
I have a lot more problems than that too.

As a native English speaker even I would get a little stressed out with this test because of how specific these questions are but he did great! He spoke pretty fluently and answers everything without hesitation or taking large pauses. The only critique I'd give him is that he says filler words like "really/very" a lot along with "uh/um". Using these words isn't bad per say (I say "uh/um" too when trying to think about what to say next) but constantly saying "really/very" or "really really" two times in a row like at 7:03 can make you sound redundant, and in all honesty, makes the listener lose interest in what the speaker is saying. Most of the time you can just omit the excess word and you will still get your point across ("they had really good food" --> "they had good food") OR you can use a better synonym altogether ("they had really good food" --> "they had delicious food"). Again, I think he did great but this was something I noticed instantly from him.
thanks for that insight!

I really don't get it how people think his topics has been easier? You really think describing a hotel is easy? Lmao. Try it for yourself then.
Good job of the candidate! Very well done!
compared to something else, it it rather easy.
I literally cannot think of anything easier than any topic that he got. "Do you like cars", "Tell me about a hotel"... There is no person sitting IELTS who doesn't have an opinion about these topics. Also, I don't think that his vocabulary is a band 9 vocabulary, but what do I know...
You probably never had an IELTS test, cause trust me the questions he got couldn’t be any easier. In 2018 I had an IELTS academic testing and one of my questions was about “my favorite fruit”. I’m almost 100% sure you won’t be able to speak about fruit for 1-2 minutes.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro city.
I have been studying English for three hours.
I am studying English right now.
I don't understand how he got 9 out of 9. I saw other IELTS speaking exams and the people there phrased more complicate sentences and spoke also fluently and got only like 8. He spoke well and fuent but also made some errors.
(Also you can spot he is German at first sight xD (I am German too))
A youtuber in my country got 9 and she said the tip is that: be confident and showing that English is your mother tounge. Complicated phrases, words should be added if you're really sure about all of them. That's just what I heard ^^ hope it can help you
@@hiennguyenthu624 then why do IELTS have a Speaking Score Chart?
scores were calculated based on the chart
*Fluency and Coherence
*Pronunciation
*Lexical Resource
*Grammatical range and accuracy
*Total IELTS Speaking Score.
i saw some people speaking so fluently almost like a native speaker and so they got high marks in Fluency and Coherence but they got very low marks in Pronounciation and Grammar. It's how the overall (Total) score is caluculated. The chart is made for that. So your friend saying t's all about being confident and sounding like a native speaker can't be true in that case. The guy in ths video got 9 even tho there were so many grammatical errors (it will affect the Grammatical score area of the Score Chart) and words used were completely basic which is not how you get high marks in Lexical Resource. Either the examinors were biased or who knows what. But it's definitely not all about speaking fluent or confident
@@audreysett2749 sorry because i just repeated what she said ^^
Because there is subjectivity in the person giving out the grade...and this performance will not get a 9 from me either.
@@hiennguyenthu624 bạn đang nhắc tới chị Hana đúng hông?^^
Thank you for the video. While I pass the test years ago, I'll keep this video in mind. I'm pretty confident about my English, but there's always room to improve!
God, I wish I was as great at speaking English as him. I learned the language on my own so I'm not that confident. Personally I never went to a hotel before so if someone asked me all those questions related to hotels, I don't know how would I react. I would probably freeze then start panicking. I'm planning to take the IELTS test in the next four or five months after I make sure that I'm 100% or at least 90% ready for it to avoid getting bad grades since I don't have enough money to retake it over and over again till I get the score I desire. Thanks to this video I'm getting a little stressed honestly.
You always have two choices: be honest and tell that you have never been in a hotel before or just imagine a situation like this and describe it. People often forget that there are no correct answers. The main thing is speaking. Try to stop thinking about grammar or vocabulary and just explain your thoughts and ideas (criteria are important, but thinking about them influences your confidence). I really enjoyed a discussion with my examiner and got my desired score. I believe, it is a key to success: relaxation and joy. Good luck for you!
@@Valeriia_Q Oh, thanks a lot for the advice. I will try my best to follow it and hopefully I also get my desired score in future.
Also you can find the questions with their answers in the IELTS Writing Part. 😉
@@kafkaesk_ Oh, gotta check all of them for real! Both writing and speaking parts are scaring me lol
as a native english speaker, you could easily pass as a fluent speaker by the way you worded this comment.
I really wish these examiners would learn how to interrupt someone politely and effectively.
I understand the time restrictions, but you're interacting with another human being for goodness sake, so you should at least muster up the effort to speak to them like one.
Just a "Sorry, I must stop you there." or "Apologies, that's all the time we have for part 1."
It doesn't use up much time, and it really goes a long way.
Me being asian: woah that examiner have chosen violence
He enhanced my confidence.. Thanks man 💗
He is rather given such easy topics from this; also his questions were not getting any tougher than previous questions during the exam. I suppose it is an easy mocking one.
İ love the way he speaks👼🏼
I think it is British
I really really admire he, i always want to be good as him
Though sentences are so simple, clearly relay the message, which is quite impressive and fluency is way too good. By the way when I saw only him on the thumbnail i thought it would be a movie trailers then I was like ohh.. 9 band speaking 😄
He is clear and very good at this.
Its good to see that the speaking tests are still easy for foreigners.
First time I took the test was in 2009, it was so funny. I didn't study for it, just made everything up + a few lines from movies that I remembered lol. I got 6.0 which was enough for me to get accepted to a school in Sydney.
Cool story!😄
i noticed that examiner stopped him badly while he was answering to the last question of part one
isn’t it disappointing?
I thought so too because I would have felt uncomfortable to continue after that
Isn't it just a cut in the edit?
@@firowow nope
Examiner stopped him because of time limit
yes, i learnt that you have to be able to proceed even with that discomfort. you're going to meet any interviewer (nice, not nice, serious, friendly) so you have to focus on the test and not the behaviour of the examiner. stuffs like that.
these videos are actually a lot helpful
that's so cool. he's actually a natural speaker ..

Thank you so much for your support.
I like how his blush matches the wall colour 😂 Really great performance thou, I guess for an Oxford student speaking part should not be a problem. Has anyone noticed whether he's using any idioms in his replies?
nah, he spoke very simply.. idk how he got 9.. other vids i watched about IELTS, they give 7-8 even for the ones speaking fluently with much vocabulary too.. i like how his eyes and sweater match
Bro i can't even express myself this way in my mother language how am i supposed to do so in English
Cool! Just check your use of the present continuous instead of the present simple. e.g I fish in Germany as well/go fishing instead of I am fishing in Germany..
im not even gonna have this test, but after reading comments here i became anxious about it somehow. wow. but this person speaks with the vibe me and a friend of mine did in our english lessons, with all that "uumm" and "really really" (we did worce of course) so i felt so related watching this in some way
he so charming especially around the eyes 😊
I can speak freely for hours... but... knowing it's an exam and having a stranger questioning me doesn't bring out my full potential... in fact... it stalls me... and my exam is 4 days away... help... can i tell them i feel uncomfortable?! Like... will it change anything?! idk...
I have been repeating the exam in hopes of scoring a band 7 in every category. Sometimes the Part 2 question of the speaking portion strains my abilities. If I am familiar with the topic I can answer confidently. Otherwise I struggle to come up with a meaningful answer.
Last week the examiner put up a question that asked , "Describe a law that you think would benefit the environment. What is the law? How would people react to the law?"
I found this question challenging to answer. Since I only had a minute to think about law and governing, I did not have the best response. Not everyone has an instant answer to every question asked. I am not sure. How would you have answered this question?
@@azharkhan8796 same it would difficult for me too. But I would answer like this: In my country when people shopping in the supermarket they put the products in plastic bag which is not great for environment. I remember one day when I got home after shopping, I realized that government should to do something, they can make a law that will not give a permission to create anything with plastic. In my point of view this is the correct and easy way to keep our nature.I don’t think that other people will be disagree with this law because they also want to save our planet ,they want their kids growing up in good environment.I guess all humanity want to live healthy and happy life.
I don’t know is this right answer, but when it is difficult for me I’m changing my answer a little bit 😁 the hardest part for me is READING 😢🥴🤭
Hi, my advise is just try to take it easy. I know you'll be under stress just like everyone right, but try to force yourself to think about it like a conversation between your friend and you, not an exam with an examiner. Coz in the end, the point of this speaking test is just to test your speaking ability to see whether you can be able to communicate or not :) so think about your examiner as your friend, feel free to express your self as natural as you can, use your body language, eye contact, grab a pen in your hand if you're worried too much. I did this a few years ago and got 8.0 for speaking skill so I assume it works :)
Just practice this situation. Ask a friend to ask you some typical IElTS Questions. You will be fine :D
