Sorry, I am not josh, but I used sandpaper and scraped a really thin layer of wood. Then i used bat oil and oiled it.

Gee thats got a huge edge on it, Nice job. I remember hassling the folks non stop for a "County Clipper" about 40yrs ago. I finally got it for my birthday, man what a letdown, I liked the weight but it had a Sour spot, the whole bat!!
I saved up and brought a legendary Stuart Surridge SS Jumbo. Man, a block with a bit of flair turned it into a coverdrive for 4. What a weapon.. Thanks for showing your work.

Treat to watch for stick enthusiasts - thanks for sharing. Are those stickers legit? Also interested in knowing details on the sanding levels and glues and compression techniques you're using. Does sanding the face affect pressing of the bat?
Thanks! Yep the stickers are legit - provided by the player. Each time you do this you lose about half an ounce but other than that it shouldn't effect performance or anything else.

What's the tool you used to take the wood off the back while keeping the shape. The one with the round disc and orange handle
yusuf jackson angle grinder. But I don’t know what attachment it had on it.

Sounds good to me. The grits I go through are 80,120,180 and 600
I've been looking at some of you're cricket bats they look amazing um would like to know what's the weight on them cause I'm looking for something around 2/8 to 2/10
My handle is too thick for my hands. Would you recommend sanding it down or getting a new handle completely. Also from your experience do players have thin, thick, round or oval handles. Love your vids mate been a fan since day 1.
Hey, yeah the way to do it would be to sand or rasp it a bit thinner then replacing the binding. Everyone is different so I've made heaps of all sorts of handles. Personally I like something on the thinner side with a very slight oval.

5:40 is that crazy glue?
It is a bad idea to use crazy glue on a cricket bat. Because crazy glue is very strong, that part itself will become very strong but the surrounding area will start cracking.
So I am also curious if it’s a different glue.
It's not the brand you mention. I've had a lot of success with the glues I use. It dries fast and strong and in my experience doesn't weaken other areas.
