Absolutely Awesome! - I am close to pulling the trigger for a Iveco Daily III 2.8 85HP L3H2, which is close to finish, with an imporant amount of tech already installed - kitchen, water, hot water, battery, some furniture. You gave me some nice inspirations for the finish build. I already planned to install a wood burner, also for cooking, as I want to use the van mostly for winter season. Great work, I love it!
We'll done on your brilliant van. And for £8 thousand it looks very impressive. Because I have been watching your channel and it's fantastic. So keep up the good work.
wish id waited a bit longer and bought a stealth camper rather than my fiat ducato 1991 old motorhome, its ok but attracts too much attention, because i may be homeless sometime and that's one of the reasons why i bought it,campsites may be closed again because of this covid situation; its very difficult to find anywhere to get a few hours sleep without it attracting so much attention, i like my van but its had 15 owners so that puts people off from buying ,even though its a good camper, love yours it's absolutely ideal😀👍
this reminds me of vans I saw before youtube...without the influence of popular designs. I love that it's completely built to your needs. I also really like the added security features.
Jesus! I was following your van vids when you only had a few videos up way back, and the van was white with a table, (sadly not been able to keep up), but I do dip in now and again :) even then I said this has to be one of the best vans out there, (as I would have it) Now, there really is no denying it! I hope you dont mind if I poach several ideas off you for my build, hopefully see you on the road one day Ash! And thanks for all the inspiration! 🤘
its crazy how much our vans evolve over time , and when you sum up how much we spend i bet you could add on another 1k or 2k for stupid things you forget like tech added cables lights and brackets it all adds up , and continues to add up . im looking for a bigger van now for another build myself
if you can help with choosing the brand of paint you painted the van with, I'm currently refinishing the same van, it's a little rusty so I'd have to paint it to make it look a little nicer, thanks in advance.
Thank you for showing us your home, it is so lovely! 💕 You are so blessed to be able to build it yourself, the electrical parts and all the stuff actually.... I struggle with finding a person to help me build my ideas for my tiny van..... It is great to know how to do it, kinda saves money and headaches! 😀 Beautiful little home, congrats! 👍💪
Awesome, loved this! long over due been following the vids for ages and even though i knew most of the upgrades you had done, put in to one vid really puts it into perspective, alot of time and hard work well done!
I've got a LWB 2.3 litre 2004 Iveco Daily, registered as a camper van that will soon be up for sale... I'm getting another much newer van... for me, it isn't worth spending any more money on doing it up... but you're right... it is an absolute beast of a van. Even the 2.3 has got some guts in it...
A drawback with having the solar panels in series is that if one of them would be shaded it will limit the other solar panel. (Shaded panels will act like resistors) Might be worth taking in consideration if it ever becomes an issue.
The plus side of series, Kim, is that the panels start charging the batteries earlier in the day and until later in the evening, due to the higher voltages it puts out for low light conditions, triggering the charge cycle. Everything converts back to the same amp and volts, through your MPPT, but the longer charge times, mean you'll get more charge into your batteries per day, assuming you park away from direct shade, of course.
Think there could be a tiny wet room with the casette toilet in the place where the wood burner is, and then you could fit the wood burner where the toilet is rn. Non the less, this is a pretty awesome build!
EPIC build Ash we have these at work one has been hit so many times the body is almost ROUND! But as its an airport wagon no one cares BUT they still keep going, these are built like Abrahams main battle tanks! Was toying with an Iveco or Sprinter as they are much bigger than the LWB sprinter! But.....a bloke at work was flogging a ‘Trainspotter’ for pennies so.....i grabbed it....🤷🏼♂️ BLIMEY your ‘start panel’ is like a Boeing 777 mate, do you do ‘pre flight checks?😧🤔Love the camera set up initially my heap was a ‘stealth camper’ but as i add more its getting a bit obvious and i want to bang some windows in . Those cameras would have helped as people come up at night to see whats worth nicking! 😂😂👍🏻 Proper job mate👏🏻
Fair play mate love the van. Been in my very crafter 19 months now love off grid life especially now furling a house is outrageously expensive. The government will find a way of taxing us soon. Tossers
One of the sweetest van‘s i ever saw and the first one with ps4 system!!! Great build!! That was always one of my concerns about van life... like im a gamer 🤷♂️
This is a awesome build. I’ve got 2 questions: 1st Why do you use those heavy duty locks? 2nd Why do you not use a refrigerator for your eggs? Mad Love 💕
If eggs needed to be kept in a fridge they would have to be in a fridge in the stores , ending any argument to the contrary .. p.s. i was a battery hen farmer too , so i know lol
It looks like you use the diesel heater as your primary source of heat so what makes the wood heater a "game changer". Also, what did you do about the firewood bringing in insects into the van, particularly ones that could damage the wood used in your renovations. Have you tried using the diesel heater on waste vegetable oil or on biodiesel made from waste vegetable oil? I appreciate that a wood heater benefits from free fuel particularly at campsites that provide firewood but if you could get free fuel from restaurants for your diesel hearse, wouldn't that be a "game changer"?
are those R15 tires? seems like R16 variants of those tires will need lift but they have r15 with load capacity suitable for 3.5t vans and by the looks of it you are using r15 with no lift
Can you fit an MX bike in the garage? nice van one of the best I seen yet, very big and that cabin looks like a military cockpit with all them switches lol.
Agree great intro! Wow Ash really enjoyed this video. So impressed with your expertise at making stuff! The cab is very cool....jealous of the mirror (soz maybe a bit girlie there). Love the log burner....all looks great 👍
Hi. Please would you explain your roof aerials for phone and that, as I need something like that for my Europe travels Please explain those door locks again as I think I need those as well Wish you well
Thanks for sharing. Do you find IVECO to be a reliable brand? We have them here in Australia but there are not many sold compared to the Sprinter or the Ford. I know they are Italian but beyond that I don't know much about them. Thanks in advance.
Nice vid bud. This ones gonna blow up I think. How far you’ve come from the chewing gum days 👍 the amount of improvements you’ve made are racking up to be an impressive list already
Great van. I've got the Votronic b2b and the amps monitor up at the dash too, which is great. Curious how many amps charge you get when the batteries are low? I'm coming up for 2.5 years- mostly in the Highlands. Thanks for the vids.
Hi follow you guys since the start. Love it. I am in the process of doing my 2.8 inveco lwb /xhr can you let me know where you got the clear front indicator lences. Cheers
Really nice build - If I ever get around to building my dream van, I'll be stealing a ton of ideas from you! If you don't mind, I have a few questions: Have you insulated the garage in any way, or insulated the backdoors? Do you own all of the tools you've used to build everything? Do you regret not being able to sit up in bed? How does the wifi amplifier work? Is it free, public wifis you connect to or is it your own signal? Have you ever worried about your van's extremities (chimney, TH-cam-handle on the side of the car) tattling on you? I mean, I absolutely love your wood burner, but it is not very common for a car to have a chimney. Is stealthiness important to you? And the most important one of all: I read you're a professional photographer; how did you gain the expertise/confidence to build and/or implement the various things in the van (e.g. all of the carpentry, the kitchen, the whole electrical system...). I have watched a whole lot of videos on van - dwelling/life/conversion just like you did you. But when I start thinking, really thinking, about converting a van, I get kind of unsure about whether I'll be able to do it. Did you really just throw yourself into it and just figured it out along the way :-)? If so, how did you correct your mistakes (if you ever made any). Bit of a daft question, but I think it'd be a comfort to know how to un-screw myself in case of bad handyman-ship. Beforehand, thank you very much for the videos. You're a great screen-companion, and you inspire me to live the same kind of life. Great big cheers from Denmark - Asbjørn
Yeah, this is looking like a real van that is made for its purpose. Not polished to end, but functional, fun and with character. I like it.

One of the coolest van i ever seen!
Another banging intro bro!!! Vans come a long way from the first van tour, you want to be proud of yourself well done pall
this reminds me of vans I saw before youtube...without the influence of popular designs. I love that it's completely built to your needs. I also really like the added security features.
The fanny hatch and the deck up top is total game changer. What a great idea. That's going into the plan.
Jesus! I was following your van vids when you only had a few videos up way back, and the van was white with a table, (sadly not been able to keep up), but I do dip in now and again :) even then I said this has to be one of the best vans out there, (as I would have it)

Well this is one of the most unique vans i´ve ever seen!
Was literally thinking wonder if I could get my adventure bike in that sorta space read my mind haha
What a nice humble chap
Of all the setups I've seen lately, this is by far the coolest
Thanks for the tour. Very well designed for 1 person!! Wish you all the best!!!!
Love the way you have the cab set up
This is different than any build I've seen. I appreciate that. Very nice.

The garage is surprising!
Very nice build and great layout!
Excellent presentation and narration, subscribed!
Everything about it is so gorgeous!! Congratulations
Think there could be a tiny wet room with the casette toilet in the place where the wood burner is, and then you could fit the wood burner where the toilet is rn. Non the less, this is a pretty awesome build!
There was a wet room there before, I just ripped it out! 🤣 rarely used the shower

Hi Ash,Thanks for sharing 👍🌞 I've recently started watching your clips 👍💕 quite enjoyable.
Love the van tour mate...hes definitely changed a bit! Enjoying the dailys! 🤙
Great van. Very inspirational.
Wow what a Tardis of a van it must way tons 👍
The bed/sofa area is just awesome. What is the size of the sleeping area? Just thinking about that solution in my van, and planning now. Thanks!
It's about 10cm narrower than a standard double bed 😊
hey gd to see you back bud hope your ok x
Heyy I was just wondering about your wifi box and what it is exactly and where I can buy the same one?
Fair play mate love the van. Been in my very crafter 19 months now love off grid life especially now furling a house is outrageously expensive.

Your van looks sick .I'm going to make like yours but I can't decide between your van or a mercedes sprinter .
Whaaou ! Magnifique !
Great intro Ash, "The Beast" looks cool. If i was younger and single I would definitely do van life.👍
Mike your never too old I moved in my van just before my 54th birthday been in it 17 months now love it ❤️
Looks the nuts mate, not ridiculous
How does insuring the van work?
Your van looks so comfy! 🤩

Did you buy a flue cowel or make one?

Nice build! Are Iveco Daily all 4x4, or is it only select few?
They do make them in 4wd but most on the road I've seen are 2wd
What 4g/WiFi setup do you use ?
Mate this is a quality van 👍🏻
Cheers dude 👊🏻
New channel intro? That would be amazing as a intro.
How reliable has the Iveco been?
Yeyyy i love wood burner....
Hi mate, did you junk out the the on board genny, love the way you have changed the beast over the last year.
Yea man I've took it out, still got it but will probably sell it

I do have one way back dude, believe it's in "the beast" playlist
@@LostInEurope cheers mate, i need that surveillance!
have you weighed the van? can your van and load be more than 3.5 ton legally?
Fully fueled and water it comes in just under 3.5 dude
What wheelbase is this?
Awesome !!😊👍🏻
Top rig man! You sound like a service man, you would of been a good one! Is that 8000 including the van it self?
I want this so badly! How do you even start D:
How much did you buy your van for? I’m looking for a iveco daily xlwb but I don’t want to waste my money if it’s. Pile of crap, how’s it held up?
I just seen your other video and how much you paid for it 😁 for the 50k miles you’ve done on it, has it been reliable?
