As a child, when I was a schoolboy, my friends and I went to a computer store where various benchmarks were run on a demo PC, and I remember the Final Reality Benchmark very well. At that time, for us boys, it seemed like something magical, in that sense there was nothing better, and we could not imagine a schedule that would be cooler for us. And I got a computer a year later, when I entered the university, and my father gave me such a gift for successful entrance exams. It was a golden time, which I always remember fondly.

The music sounds very similar to Second Reality in many places! I don't know this demo but I don't know if it's a benchmark, probably just a demo - especially as it was released at The Assembly
That was great, I've never seen it before! I remember when nVidia announced they were getting rid of the risque lady demos, I found an archive of all of them and started playing around with them on my then RTX 2060, including the lady ones lol. It was really wild to see how good they looked if you played around with the AA and resolution settings. A handful didn't work at all, but most of them still worked great. It felt like I was back as a kid, seeing box art and demos at computer stores, always wondering if I'd ever get one of those cool graphics card thingies. First one ended up being a 8800 GTX, quite the beast of a card at the time. I believe I downloaded a number of nVidias then contemporary demos and was amazed at all the detail. I recall seeing the Human Head demo on G4 during E3 coverage and thought it looked amazing, and I was even more amazed when I had hardware that could actually render that in real time myself.
I've never stopped using it and I can run it on my modern system by drag and drop porting. It can tell me if my 2D or 3D transfer rate is working properly. Factory settings at 75Hz to 85Hz will produce the best stable base line scores. That's the final reality. Unless you're upset about the missing brain texture from DX5.

i used to work at compusa in nj with Second Reality by Future Crew demo playing all the time.
For 1997 this looks amazing. I don't remember if I ever used it.

Figured out how to run it: you need a modified setup executable from Google

What did you do to get this to work on a modern PC? Is this a 32-bit version of Win 7 or something? What are your specs?
