Hey! It’s Hailey! Thank you so much for your critiques!! I’m definitely gonna take up on your advice and add more bedding to one side and put a cork log in there for her : ) . I have a bendy tube for her so I’ll definitely put that into the bedding for her as well! Thanks so much!!
sloping bedding isnt always the best you know. hamsters make deep and long burrows and so need all that deep bedding all around the cage so deep compressed safe bedding that covers the whole cage as deep as the cage can hold is always the best
You don't always need to scatter feed even tho it is a good idea I recommend getting a bowl and also scatter feeding. Just make sure the bowl is not to big but big enough for your hamster to sit in. Also always wait until the food is all gone don't just keep feeding and feeding because then you might make your hamster a picky eater feed about 2 tbs of food. Also no hate to Nicky she has really great hamster care!
Who wants a part 3? I doooo also in not even kidding before I looked at your subs I thought you had like 10k or something your so underrated! Lets get her to 4k!
I wouldn’t say Kaytee clean and cozy is better than carefresh. Clean and cozy is so dusty. It was making my hamster sneeze. I thought he was sick but the vet said he’s fine and that there must be something in his cage causing it. I switched over to all living things or carefresh depending on sales and he no longer sneezes. Clean and cozy is soft but that dust has to go.
Yayyy so glad my hamsters cages where in this video (the 3 right at the start) I actually have 7 hamsters now and yes I have added a lot more bedding in and they love the hammocks thank you so much love your channel and your doing a great job educating people on proper hamster care 🥰
Why is no one addressing the fact that she doesn't say anything about the bar cages that's a horrible cage to have all of the bae cages are way too small and hamsters can easily chew on the bars and that is also really bad for their teeth
@@HYDROCARBON_XD no just no not one cage I've seen is ever big or tall enough those will never be ok even if they miraculously are big enough the bars are horrible for the little hamsters teeth
YES, please make a DYI mouse/hamster toys! I do live In the US but still toys are so expensive.. I have 7 mice, I would love and benefit from that video! Thank you!
Thats totally fine! Not every hamster cage has to be natural, I just find it easier to suggest natural enrichment items. I also hope to get some more hamster stuff at Christmas! *fingers crossed*
yes it is not needed but it does benefit the hamster to have wooden hides and wheel and plenty of natural enrichment such as wheat/oat sprays for foraging, plastic hides and tubes arent the best kinds of enrichment as many of them are transparent and let through light so the hamster may not feel as safe and if they ingest plastic they could get sick
@@imanartnugget7812 there are plenty of non see through hides that just so happen to be pink and colorful. And plastic vs wood is nothing to do with enrichment expect texture change and them being chewed on. And wheat and oat sprays are always given to my hammy even if it’s colorful as they have nothing to do with the cage being natural.
You definitely can feed in a bowl, but foraging is a very important behavoiur for hamsters so a great thing to do is leave some of the food in the bowl and scatter the rest. If you still feel like you want to closely monitor what your hamster is eating and leave all of it in the bowl, make sure to provide the hamster with dried herbs, flowers and sprays, so that the hamster still gets some form of foraging. :) hope this helps

in that cage, its the best choice, bc if she stacks it up very high her wheel will not fit with the lid on.
I have a hammock in my detolf for my male hamster and he loves to sit on it!

I am kind of new to hamster care. I have been researching hamsters for about 4 months, and im getting my first hammy soon!
No,actually a 105 qt bin its only like 425 sq inches,I think it can work for a dwarf with a lot of enrichment but not for a Syrian
Really enjoy this blog. Lots of good ideas🌹

Hi I love that people like you want to give hamsters great homes
Is aspen safe for hamsters because I was looking in to getting it but I just want to make sure
Yes. It's completely safe
My hamster uses his hammock. I know this because his hammock is homemade and I sewed it but I also embroidered his name on it and he destroyed the g.
Awee what’s his name ?
His name is pom pom but i wrote pom pom's lounge
Would it be okay to mix aspen and carefreeness paper bedding?
Yes
